Of course... They did the EXACT opposite thing I asked for for the overlays, taking my example of belt buckles as priority over what I actually was asking for. :/ I guess it's better than nothing... But yeah, ****ing obnoxious we can't choose our own design for undyed leather armor--gotta use Mojang's shitty default color scheme and even if Custom colors allows us to edit that value, there's still the horribly ugly multiply color blending...
Are the overlays just for selected parts (the one in default) or the whole armor? If it's the second, then wasn't it what you were asking?
If then, yes, it was pretty stupid. They just wasted time doing this. It wouldn't be hard to code it. It would most likely be the same as now, or just without too much differences.
The leather/belt buckle overlay problem should be solved. In the armor folder, there are two extra overlay files (cloth_1_b and cloth_2_b ) for parts of the armor you don't wish to be affected by dyeing.
I managed to separate the belt and belt buckles on the chest and on the boot of my leather armour.
If Misa was referring to another much simpler solution, please disregard this post, though I do think the present method will do the trick in the meantime.
What I wanted would've ensured backwards compatibility and full customizability of the default look of undyed leather. It was dead simple:
1. Default leather texture - leave it the **** alone so we can choose what undyed armor looks like and so it's backwards compatible.
2. Overlay texture - dyed parts to be added and colored when the armor is first dyed.
Instead we got:
1. Default leather texture - **** it up by making it the color layer so it's in no way backwards compatible, and ensure that ALL leather armor in every texture pack everywhere at default comes in unrealistic Mojang Chocolate Brownâ„¢.
2. Overlay texture - details that aren't dyed.
I can still work with it more than having no overlays at all. I'm just annoyed that after all this hassle, it was implemented completely backwards to the way it should've been and my undyed armor art will have to be completely discarded.

Ah, I see now! Your solution was simpler and texture pack-friendlier. I have to agree that the new "choco" armour shade does not surpass the old colour scheme.
Misa, your efforts do not go unappreciated. Don't forget that, no matter for frustrated you get. Fans of texture packs and fans of Minecraft (aka me) are just as frustrated with the backwards decisions Mojang makes. For every good idea, there's one bad one.
But I wouldn't even be playing this game right now if I wasn't using your texture pack, so hopefully you can keep pushing forward with your designs and figuring out how to make things work despite Mojang's best efforts to screw you up.
This is my favorite texture pack and i usually use it but the only problem is water and lava textures since they don't have the colorfulness they do in most texture packs.
for example it would be awesome if the water was a bit more transparent and if the lava had more vibrant colors.
Misa, you can still use your idea, it just destroys backward compatibility, but the textures are okay. Just use the overlay textures for normal armor, and the normal texturs for colored parts. Not saying it shouldn't be changed, anyway.
Wrong. It doesn't just destroy backwards compatibility and all the textures I made are not okay. Like I said I have to completely discard the undyed armor textures I created and adapt them to use that shitty hard-coded, multiplied brown. Out of three things my method would've accomplished, only one works on the method we ended up with.
I've obviously already quickly adapted my work to the new format, and by this point it's ancient history. I don't need any suggestions or guidance on how to pull off the armor. I've been doing this texture stuff on Minecraft for over 3 years now. I was already prepared for both possible outcomes of this overlay business. I'm just disappointed I couldn't have done it the way I would've liked to and won't get to use my undyed armor texture or have a universal pack that works on most versions of Minecraft.
MISA basically right, but it is finally fixed the MISA can make buckles in leather armor, there is now a separate file APG and though I hope it will be easier to make MISA a leather armor snapshot 12w37a fix it.
I understand it, and the color can not perezhivat.Ona can fix it so
invent leather armor white.(further stroke a path only.
next we).make leather armor fine, but if you put in lether_1b or 2b is redye in clear or white. And the color is not important. And the same in the objects. Good luck in creating

Something between a pumpkin tart (seen above) and a typical pie. As the pie isn't handled like cakes, it makes little sense to have a full-sized pie, especially when it uses a fraction of the ingredients, can be eaten in one go, and restores only 4 food points. Whipped cream will naturally be mandatory--despite the lack of milk in the recipe. But hey, they also forgot to use wheat in the recipe for the crust.

zomg that picture just made me hungry lol curse you! *writes pumpkin pie on grocery list*
Foooooood! Also I got sick of seeing the scrawny little, inedible-looking fish amidst all the other food-related items so I did something about that.
Will u make a snapshot version of this texture pack? I love this texture pack sooo much. Oh, and thanks alot for making me hungry with all that good looking fooooooooooooood!

Glad to hear! Thank you

Curse PremiumAlso, Misa, what will pumpkin pies look like?
