Misa, just wanted to say I think your texture pack is the absolute best. The right amount of realism and all the mob variations make your pack truly special. I lost my **** when I saw the skeleton Sniper. Thanks for making the best pack here and if there's anything us lowly fans can do for you, like rep your pack with a signature(?), let me know.
when i start to play sgp or mtp it shows a white screen forever. my computer even worked on sphax purecraft bd 128x128 but this is a 64x64 please help.!
I use mcpatcher 2.4.2_03 (latest version). Here's a screenshot of the water:
...
It's been a while since I last used Misa's textures, but I'm pretty sure the water used to be blue. Is it supposed to look like this?
On screenshot stone, sand and ice don't have CTM applied. Make sure you followed installation instructions thoroughly and checked all necessary mods in MCPatcher before patching.
Q: Why is my water is white/grey or purple/blue with text?
A: Because you either do not have the latest MCPatcher installed, or you did not tick the custom colors box when installing MCPatcher. This pack relies on the latest MCPatcher and Custom Colors to properly function.
Hopefully that helps, you probably didn't check the custom colors box.
Misa, have you considered using OptiPNG on your texture pack to cut down on file size, and possibly allow people having issues with BetterSkies to use it?..
Hard to consider something I hadn't heard of until you mentioned it. Anyway yeah, I'll run all my old and any new files through it.
To bad, i really love this texture pack and used it for a long time but now i have to find a new one because i switched to tekkit because i also love to play around with that kind of stuff.
Thanks anyway for the awesome texture pack misa! (especially the bed and dispensers haha)
With all the permission I've granted to people wanting to add support for that mod to fit my pack, you'd think that searching the tekkit thread for my name would give you what you were looking for...
Misa can you add rainbows to the sky with better skies? I don't know, if it works, but if it does it would look really nice!
It is possible with Better Skies, but I'd probably hold out for a feature made specifically for that if it's ever possible. Namely rainbows should only appear for a certain duration after rain has fallen. It'd make little sense to have them pop up every day at the same time of day like clockwork. Hell, even a biome-specific flag on Better Skies would be preferable. IE: Rainbows only appearing in mushroom biomes.
...I can't think of a solution to that problem that isn't simply to remove it (or at least make it less dramatic). But if you want to keep it in, then that's your decision.
Neither can I, and the solutions for making it subtle wouldn't work out to well in my tests. I figure it's better to leave it in anyway, and if people don't like it, it's a matter of seconds for them to remove the animation file from the pack. Everybody wins.
Misa plz plz plz respond I need help from an expert texture artist,I am making my self my own little personal texturepack but I have some trouble,It is 1.3.2 and the emerald block texture is based off the top of the chest texture in the terrain.png and since I need to make the chest into its own png file so it doesnt look like a half chest half emerald,my problem is I am a extreme amiture texture artist I am not able to resize my chest into the correct size for the chest.png file plz help.
Sorry, I'm not sure what you're asking... The chest is a model. Its textures do not come from terrain.png, but from the items folder. I really don't get what the problem is here, unless you're working for backwards compatibility with versions that predate the patch that introduced Endermen. In which case I cannot help you.
MISA I want to do for your texture mods but I ran into the same problem a link to the texture of the stone from the interface, I can not do without this basic gui mods mods will industrial craft ,red power 2 ,buildsraft and this is the first fashion but soon I will extend I like your texture pack and do thank you for mods if you got
If you're asking for the GUI base that I use, the answer is no. Consider it almost a 'trade secret' of sorts. Should I ever need to legally defend my work, source files like that would be evidence in my favor, providing I was the only one who could produce them. You can just do a chop job from the existing GUI files I've produced. I've seen others produce good work with this method.
Misa,
Being the great artist that you are, I think you could accept that challenge and earn some cash or a paid trip to MineCon.
Why not?
Well, I can say why not. I don't do the kind of art they'd be looking for, and the closest thing to a t-shirt design that I wouldn't feel stupid wearing or designing already exists. I guess the best way to elaborate would be for me to critique all the existing t-shirts for sale on minecraft.net's store. I'll be reviewing these starting from the bottom and working upward on this page:
-Confused
It's fine I guess. it's simple and stylized. The subject matter I couldn't care less for. I was never much of a fan of the look of Steve. -Creeper
This is the only t-shirt I'd probably wear, and if it didn't exist, I'd probably be the one submitting it along with a bunch of other people for this contest. It's dead simple and to the point, yet cryptic to anyone not in the know while not actually being intimidating in its crypticness. -Three Creeper Moon
Uh... This just clashes. You've got a semi-photorealistic sky behind some 3D stylized creepers (with god-awful light shading) using the shitty default pixellated textures and the GOD AWFUL square moon. And given that there's no real basis in the game for this to be any kind of symbolism, I have to ask myself, what's the point of this T-shirt? -Run Away
This one's fine. It's a little cluttered for my tastes, but everything has a consistent style and it's faily indicative of common elements of the game. It also has the bonus of missing Notch's shitty 'artistic details.' (IE: Apply noise filter to everything to make stupid people think you're a pixel artist.) -Retro Creeper
I take issue with the title of this thing alone. What the hell is retro about this shirt? It can't be the subject matter so they must be referring to the style it's executed in. But even there it doesn't really work. You've got what appears to be a cropped, actual screenshot of the game with an in-game creeper with an outline superimposed. How is that retro? When I think retro, I think limited color paint designs, not photographic stuff. Plus there's the whole logo and white legal text in the corner that'd automatically exclude it from anything that could possibly be in my wardrobe. I don't like being a walking advertisement. -Powered by Redstone
More like powered by an excess of cryptic text and shitty pixel art that anyone who hasn't ever played Minecraft would just be baffled by. If you get it as a conversation-starter, I imagine any conversations started would open with, "So what the hell does your shirt mean anyway?" I'm imagining perverts making something out of the positioning of the torches for any female caught wearing this. -Live in Your World
Oh wow. A pun that if deconstructed is not remotely clever. I know there's a demographic out there for shirts with "witty" quotations and existing famous quotations spun into puns, because I recall always wanting to slap the kids I see wearing them. I see the little blurred white line of legal text there too. The pickaxe would work if it were just by itself, but as it is it's only significant of how much of a tool the wearer probably is. -Minecraft Union
The **** is the Minecraft Union? A quick Google search yields nothing. Besides, modern heraldry for organizations or units is always an eyesore--this is no exception. The only reason you wear shirts like this is if you are explicitly affiliated. Typically they're more of a memento or label, not a fashion statement. -Periodic Table
The target audience is probably intended to be geeks, and that'd be all well and good if not for the uncanny ability of any intelligent social group to deconstruct anything that attempts to pander to their territory. See, the Periodic Table of Elements is constantly updated and the 'periodic' bit refers to a very distinct, repeating pattern that arises when grouping the elements with similar properties. I doubt that much thought went into the design of this. From the artistic point of view however, this t-shirt is just a cluttered mess. -One More Block
If it's not clear by now, I hate text on clothing. If your clothing can't make a statement without someone having to actually READ it, it's probably not worth wearing. -World of Minecraft
Looking at this thing to try to come up with something insightful to say about it has only made me dizzy. Next! -Minecraft Logo
For all the people who don't mind being walking adverts out there. -I Porkchop Minecraft
What...? I don't get it. -Diamonds
This one's okay. Slightly cluttered, but the limited color scheme works for it. Kinda cryptic, but nothing anyone who hadn't played Minecraft would think too deeply about--it could easily just pass as a colorful design. -Creepers gonna Creep
Die in a fire, tool. -Creeper Inside
Eh, this would work as grafitti on the side of a building, but attempts at optical illusions on flexible clothing just tend to fall flat in practice. -Creeper Anatomy
Probably not canon. Nailed the retro look better than 'Retro Creeper,' but the design itself doesn't do anything for me. Too much **** going on and no shortage of text. -Drop it Creep
Despite the fact that my own pack's tagline is similarly-themed (Mostly because I didn't feel like giving a short description), I'd rather just wear an actual Robocop T-shirt. Forced crossovers are just a bit cheesy to have plastered to your chest all day. -Kawaii Creeper
What better way to advertise the fact that you'll never get laid than by wearing a t-shirt that exposes your inner weeabo. Design-wise, if you squint, the platform the creeper is standing on looks like really badly splayed-out back legs. A different color was needed, or better yet no platform at all. And if I haven't already harped on text enough, just because "クリーパー!" isn't readable by the majority of people who will see this shirt, doesn't mean that anyone who wears it is somehow more learned or actually knows how to read, write, or speak Japanese. Creeper Demo Co.
Do I really need to comment by this point?
And that, to answer your question is why I probably wouldn't be qualified to enter that contest.
I already finished my Wither skin before you posted this. Not much turning back for me at this point until the one I've done has at least tested the waters first. The crafting recipe for it was enough of an inspiration for me to complete it. I like me my internal consistency.

Am I supposed to know what 'sgp' or 'mtp' is? Anyway, it sounds like a memory issue. Read and follow the guide on the first issue posted on my FAQ, and if that doesn't work, disable Better Skies.
Misa could in principle make the texture for each snapshot, but that was not enough innovations. Texture pigzombie despatched better, but worse than zombies in the same file at the bottom, you can draw zombie.png resident zombies you create a file with
name can zombie_villager.png moyang fix it.

Yep, the custom colors box was unchecked, everything is working properly now. Thanks.
