It's been asked before.
The trouble with trying to make CTM for the current glass texture is that really large areas of glass look like there's nothing there since the glass texture has a thin frame and nothing else.
That makes sense... but thinking about that also give me a few build ideas... like glass bottom sky build.
i am so used to 256x. if i had found this Texture Pack while i still used my laptop that couldn't really even handle 128x packs, i know i would have probably attached to it instantly.
the Style and the use of animations are very nice. it is currently my Recommended 64x Texture Pack.
Personally i now prefer the less pixel-ed look at higher resolutions and generally prefer the 256x atm. the look of items in the inventory of this pack and actually holding them is so different.
Ive become a bit spoiled by my new Computer... Far from the days of playing mostly with a 32x or 64x if i felt fancy....
To end all the pointless speculation regarding leather armor. The current leather armor in my pack is no more--no more farmer-themed cow hide pattern and chaps. I've already redone it entirely from scratch to have more of a medieval/fantasy quality to it. The new design is set up to work multiple ways to cover all current scenarios:
-As dying was mainly made for PvP uniforms, the new armor will look much better for team uniforms.
-If there is no overlay, it should work fine for coloring but won't be anything too special.
-If there is an overlay as Dinnerbone said, this'll probably become the most popular armor in my entire pack when it's released.
It's been years since I first made the leather armor in this pack, so I imagine with overlay support most will probably be amazed by how drastically it's been improved.
Coudl you tease us wih something? New blocks, anything, if it's done?
But don't waste your time with anything related to the beacon block, because the GUI may be different and it may not even have a normal block format. Or just use the diamond block outline.
Hey Misa, will you be using biome specific mob skins. For example, tribal skeletons with grass skirts that spawn in jungles and zombies wearing jumpers in taiga biomes.
Although I usually take the communities suggestions and actually like them, I was not satisfied with this texture pack.
When someone calls their texture pack: "Realistic" it doesn't mean you add creeper faces to the pumpkins. I was hoping for an actually "Realistic" texture pack, which I did not receive.
Thank you for the download, I will review your texture pack again in the future.
The game has zombies, skeletons, golems, and even a freaking dragon, and you're complaining about a 'realistic' texture pack having creeper faces on the pumpkins? What about the creeper face on the bed, or on one of the books in the bookshelf? What about the 'easter egg' zombies and skellies, modeled after characters from movies and video games like Thriller, Half-Life , or The Legend of Zelda? Those aren't exactly 'realistic' either. Besides that, pumpkins in the default pack already have faces on them, too.
Can you make me one with a better target cursor? I have trouble seeing the cursor in the middle of the screen. This is the only complaint I have. This is my favorite texture pack.
I'd recommend setting the GUI scale to auto in video options. (This will also improve the look of the font as opposed to smaller scaling modes.) The crosshair should be pretty easily visible with proper GUI scaling. I won't be increasing the size of the crosshair itself though as I don't want it to be too distracting.
Lol Girls, Soooo True, have WAYYYYYY Better Taste in what like things to look like. This? This is a EXCELLENT Example of my point. My point is Girls are better at making Texture Packs :3
*in what things should look like***
Proof that even positive, complimentary statements can be sexist.
Misa, can I accept donations if I only used your IDEAS, without copying and pasting?
Look out for ALCOHOL 120% Texturepack.
What do you even mean by ideas? Also isn't Alcohol 120% already the name of a CD/DVD burning/ripping/mounting software? If that name is trademarked, then you might have bigger problems than taking donations for my ideas--whatever that means.
...I recently found a texture pack (by Jixx) that merges your work and the Sphaxx pack (so the two are "compatable"), but all the new ores/plants/foliage are still Sphaxx design. I took the liberty of adjusting those based on your style and my rough photoshop skills. Do you mind if I make that available?...
All permission requests are to be delivered via PM.
I've noticed a bug with the creative GUI. The tabs at the bottom are too long. The tabs on the top get longer when they are the current tab, but the ones on the bottom are always the longer length.
Not a bug. That's just how the texture file is set up.
Misa, have you considered posting on reddit? It may not be your cup of tea, but the developers do tend to spend actual time there and may provide feedback for your very well-founded concerns about the changes in 1.4.
I've signed up for and set up accounts for so many different things I'd never normally use over the years just to keep in contact with the development team just to have them switch priorities to some new format shortly afterward. So yeah, I'm kinda tired of trying to keep up with how best to reach them these days. As far as Reddit goes, saying it's not my cup of tea is probably an understatement. My eyes pretty much glaze over anytime someone sends me a link to anything on Reddit due to the horrible layout and confusing navigation. Couple that with the fact that the majority of the users on there seem like Fourchan v2 Internet goons who downvote legitimate issues into oblivion wrapped in accusations of whining and you pretty much have my website version of kryptonite.
...Not sure if this has been mentioned, or if you were aware, but I just noticed that the “snow slabs” that sit atop grass blocks, when viewed from the side, don’t completely jive with the snowy drifts pouring down the dirt block. In case you WEREN’T aware, figured it wouldn’t hurt to mention it...
Yeah, currently there's very little I can do about it. It recycles a texture. I could try to mess with a custom side texture using CTM, but having it line up to the top texture and the side snow texture on dirt could be very problematic.
Hello, I would like I could teach as do the animations in the dispenser or cause animals parpaden
thanks
Misa, stupid question, but do you know if using a HD 512x texture pack installed into the .jar AND using a modified version of your pack just to get random mobs would downgrade the quality of the 512x textures to match that of your modified pack?...
I'd never recommend installing a texture pack to minecraft.jar, but it shouldn't affect anything. You can mix and match textures of any resolution and they'll appear in-game as the resolution they were designed in. MCPatcher doesn't label a pack by resolution after looking at one point, it deals with each texture file on an individual basis.
I may have missed someone else posting about this, but I've noticed randommobs is now causing the textures to be changed on my dogs when the chunks are reloaded each time. As in, if I leave the area and come back while playing the game, they'll now be different.
Is this an issue with MCPatcher, the current texture pack, or the current version of Minecraft?
Probably Minecraft. Multiplayer always had this problem. With MCPatcher on the old version of single-player, dog textures remained unchanging forever. Single player now uses the multiplayer client/server method though (****ed up entity dynamics for everyone!) so if there's going to be a fix for it, it'll probably have to come from MCPatcher, providing it's even possible now.
Misa could you help me with a issue? I have your pack and majoracraft. In yours you have the properties file for the sky5. Could that in turn be used for the moon in majoracraft and make it rotate when it hits halfway?
Basically the moon is facing the right way rising then the wrong way setting.
So would the rotate=true work?
No. It wouldn't. Rotate=true just means that the skybox will rotate with the stars, sun, moon, etc. There's some custom rotation options for adjusting the direction of rotation. I haven't played with them, but I doubt they can pull off anything as complicated as that.
Stop complaining people, it'll probably be fixed in a future snapshot.
Ugh. It's dismissive comments like this that breed complacency towards figures of alleged authority and slowed progress. The development team of Minecraft is not comprised of omniscient beings. How do you expect them to fix any legitimate problem if they're completely unaware of it to begin with? Complaints and criticisim are what drive successful development. When you give complete creative control to an individual who cannot take criticism that you usually end up with ****. If it wasn't for complaints and constructive criticism regarding my texture pack, it wouldn't be as good as it is today. Can we please squash this idiotic trend where telling people to stop whining/complaining makes you seem cool?
I posted this problem on reddit, but just got downvoted for being a "baby" and "complaining too much". Apparently, making requests during a snapshot period to improve the game is complaining. Sigh.
I didn't even read this message before I posted my previous response to you... I like the irony of having found it just after the previous response too. It seems to be a serious problem with people in general these days. Raising legitimate concerns = whining = somehow bad.
i am so used to 256x. if i had found this Texture Pack while i still used my laptop that couldn't really even handle 128x packs, i know i would have probably attached to it instantly.

I've already addressed this multiple times--even on my FAQ. As far as the held items not matching the placed items, there's little I can do about that. I make use of a lot of CTM features which can only be applied to placed blocks. The only way to correct this issue would require a special feature to be added for it in MCPatcher.
Define 'normal.' In the context of this pack, my water is normal. I have not done anything to change it much since around the time Custom Colors first came out. That was a pretty long time ago.
Coudl you tease us wih something? New blocks, anything, if it's done?
But don't waste your time with anything related to the beacon block, because the GUI may be different and it may not even have a normal block format. Or just use the diamond block outline.
The best way to tease you would be to mention that the pack is about 80% completed for compatibility for the latest snapshot, and then not post any images at all. Also I don't have too much I feel like showing off yet as the overlay stuff for armor isn't even in yet. I'll post teasers when I feel like it, not on demand.
There is a small issue with font.
Every capital M has a little dots on the right side, that's N fault. Pic!
Are you using the latest version of MCPatcher, and is the HD Fonts option ticked? I'm not getting that at all on my end. My font's M's look perfectly fine over here. Your problem could range from a faulty installation to an improper setting on your video card's AA or AF.
Hey Misa, will you be using biome specific mob skins. For example, tribal skeletons with grass skirts that spawn in jungles and zombies wearing jumpers in taiga biomes.
On the to-do-list, but very low priority. For the record when Kahr asked me how I felt about biome/height-based mobs, I said something along the lines of, "I might use it if it were implemented, but I have no real need for such a feature."
I'm guessing it was added because a bunch of other users were requesting it. I've got so many randomobs in my pack as it is, that having another way to categorize them is really just more work than it seems to be worth. I'll still probably do something with the feature at some point though.
Although I usually take the communities suggestions and actually like them, I was not satisfied with this texture pack.

Am I or anyone else here supposed to know who you are or something? And what does a creeper face carved into a pumpkin have to do with realism? Did you pay for my "product" or something? Your whole comment is formatted like a consumer feedback thing after some sort of transaction through an online retailer.
I'm sorry your concept of realism extends beyond style to content and prohibits anything realistic in style from being light-hearted. If it's actually the style that's not realistic enough for you, I'm sorry that your expectations for a java game based on blocks and 2D sprites are unrealistic... ...Or were you just expecting realistic packs to just be a bunch of unoriginal high resolution stock photos attached to flat surfaces? Either way, sorry for your dissatisfaction.

Im sorry, Im a vegue person XD , what I meant was: I know your tring to make a "realistic pack" but emerald blocks seem a little more "Realalistic" than the rest of the pack, in 100% spicificness the bottom left corner (When just looking staight at it) seems off from the rest of the block (the corner is a lighter green). I dont know how else to explain it XD.

Oh sweet Jesus. Before we move forwards on this discussion, I'd like to roleplay as your English teacher. *ahem*...
"Dafentaco, please come see me after class. So I can humanely put you out of your misery."
Moving on...
I'm assuming (conjecturing, deducing, theorizing) that what you're trying to say is that the lime-green corner looks jarring, compared to the rest of the block, right? Well, I agree. If I were in charge of this texture pack, I'd probably darken that corner a little, to make it look more like the other corners.
Actually, as long as we're on the subject of the Emerald Blocks, I have a different criticism: I'm not convinced that the animation of the block looks good. The subtle shimmering of the block looks good, but the "swirl" of light around the block (occurring once every few seconds) is very jarring.
MISA expensive when you make a texture pack for 12w34b or even want to look at Innovations
And I propose CTM random fern and seedlings and final growth stage of wheat potatoes and carrots
I love your tecture but I draw uzhastno and you legendary artist

Packs like this with a lot of deatail hurt my eyes so I cant use it for long
My biggest sugestion woud be to make emerald blocks fit in more.
Fit in more? The emerald block is Misa's most beautiful texture to now!
I was also wondering about height specific skins.

Latest MCPatcher, Better Skies checked, blah, blah. Everyone should know the drill by now.
I'm not sure why you're posting this here. My pack doesn't have bump-map support and I'm not the author of MCPatcher.

Eh, it's not perfect but it works okay, I suppose. A custom cactus texture for the small cactus would be nice, but I'm not too put off by this one.
Pretty sure Jeb had little to do with my grievances this time.
