Misa could you help me with a issue? I have your pack and majoracraft. In yours you have the properties file for the sky5. Could that in turn be used for the moon in majoracraft and make it rotate when it hits halfway?
Basically the moon is facing the right way rising then the wrong way setting.
So would the rotate=true work?
I'm pretty sure that's normal, since Random Mobs changes through the textures/skins of mobs when they spawn/are loaded. It happens to me too, and I'm assuming that since the mobs (the wolves/dogs) are being re-loaded, the skin changes as if they were brand new.
Looking at MCPatcher's code, I'm certain that on Single Player mobs will be saved along with their Random Mobs skin ID. This will not work on Multiplayer as the server is responsible for saving that data, and the server is not patched to do so. The only thing that comes to mind is possibly switching texture packs at some point, as that may remove the Random Mobs data from the mob.

I miss the days when I actually used to look forward to updating for new content and didn't instead feel horribly crushed by how amateurishly new content would be implemented.

It's as if the more stuff they add, the more they try to shove default textures down our throats.

Since Minecraft recently combined their Singeplayer and Multiplayer code, is it possible that's why textures aren't being saved anymore?

Good luck making items frames into something I'd actually want to use, Misa!
I sympathize with texture pack authors in regards to this silly leather armour customization. I mean seriously!? 16 million colour choices just for the leather armour, yet our beloved cube-based game does not render spheres...
The moral of the story is such an extravagance is just mind-boggling and causes a disparity in gaming aesthetics. I hope Jeb and Dinnerbone see reason and keep things simple with how the game handles leather colourization.

Anyway, there's a simpler compromise for this dyed leather feature if multiplied coloring is to be used. At least make a texture overlay for components to be colored by dyes. Say a pair of pants had a belt on the texture, when you dyed it, you wouldn't expect it to change the color of the belt and its buckle. That'd only be two more armor texture files, and 4 item icons. Basically leave default leather armor alone, and have a custom overlay skin for the colored leather armor for uniforms.
Something similar has already been done with Redstone dust in response to the massive outcry caused when Jeb hard-coded the colors of Redstone wiring.
Regarding the color range, the 16 million-ish range is just a bit much... If you were to recycle the color values used for dyed sheep wool, that'd at least be easy to salvage by MCPatcher's Custom Colors support. Though I'm guessing I'm not going to win on this one.
Also thanks for separating the zombie villager skins.
I have suggested this on reddit many times. I don't think dinnerbone thought his idea through very well.

if it was too hard for you to find me...
At least they're doing all of this through snapshots so people can give their feedback and things can be changed for the next snapshot.
Y'know instead of just releasing everything all at once in one definate update.
That's where it gets problematic. The only response we've heard from them so far was DinnerBone's... well, tactless post 2 pages ago.
The good thing in all this is that I can trust MCPatcher to add an option to remove this feature.
I posted this problem on reddit, but just got downvoted for being a "baby" and "complaining too much". Apparently, making requests during a snapshot period to improve the game is complaining. Sigh.
This is the BEST texture pack I have seen, absolutely gorgeous. My 1 and only recommendation/inquiry is, with glass blocks or glass panes, can we have them looking continuous? As in when 2 or more glass are placed with to each other they appear as 1.
