I was wondering if you could add something for the next release or maybe put it out sonner. I was going to ask for the items.png the red velvet cake and alt beds. now as I was looking at the new alternates file I notice on there for the red velvet cake.. there is definately not ont there for the alt Beds. If you would be so kind.
Also I would like to second bed CTMs for at least 2 and maybe 3 side by side beds.
Another request. I always liked the 1st and 4th alt glowstone looks but there isn't a alt animated file for them.
And here is something for you too. I know your stance on mod support but you gave me permission to use your pack for mod support. I thought I'd share the new chests I did for the ironchest mod. At least a picture. your alt diamond and gold blocks were instrumental for the silver, gold, diamond and clear chests.
Hey Misa, I was picking throught your texture pack trying to break down some of the technequs (I know i spelled that wrong) and I came across your button texture. Remembering how you are open to feedback about your pack, and how your changelog says you tried to make buttons more noticeable, I thought you might get a kick out of this which I did for my texture pack.
Hello. Your work looks very good. I am a student from secondary school and I want to use your texture pack in one of my homework. However, I can't find a place to credit your name because it is a homework. It won't be upload to internet. So, can I use your work?
Absolutely love the texture pack youve created, its the only one i use now!
Didnt think it could get any better but boy was i wrong! Along with new MCpatcher for v1.3.1 and the new seamless textures, it has! My version looks incredible along with all the environment colour changes youve made - its like a little piece of heaven in minecraft.
I just wanted to ask, i know youve put a lot of work in, but regarding the glass blocks and seamless textures, is there any way for the glass blocks to become seamless when you put them together? Because at the moment on mine, its not doing that? and i love big windows haha
Or is this am issue with the MCpatcher's seamless textures mod thingy? Im a starter when it comes to using these things
Cheers!
Sean ^^
PS. Kaosian, those chests look incredible! Impressed by the way youve used the ALT textures!
It seems to be an issue with the current MC patcher. This will most likely be fixed soon. Misa's texture pack dies support seamless glass.
hey Misa, in your latest texturepack (I am not sure if it was an issue before), it is possible to detect silverfish blocks based on their texture. I am playing Vechs Superhostile maps and he uses silverfishblocks as a map element. It is important that I dont know which blocks are silverfish just by looking at them because that reduces the difficulty of his maps. (I would know where I can digg and where not).
Is there a way to make silverfish blocks undetectable by my self? If its possible, could you please point me to what I have to change? Thanks!
(At moment I am playing with the vanilla texture pack to play Vechses maps, but I really would like to use yours ;-) )
This is a really good texture pack(best i've seen), but when u made the 1.3 version, u changed the fences and now they look very blocky, is there anyway u could change them back i rally liked the old ones? I would really appreciate it
I'm pretty sure the glass doesn't have CTM support.
Last I checked, it's because the glass borders are really thin and adding CTM makes it look like the glass isn't there unless you look carefully. Especially on big windows.
Maybe Misa will redesign the windows so they work well with CTM but for now glass doesn't use it.
My bad, I do recall an older version supporting CTM before it was actually included with MC patcher (when only glass sandstone and bookshelvs were part of the mod). I took a closer look and you are right, the current texture pack does not support CTM glass yet. I'm assuming this has to do with glass panes not working properly with CTM.
A lot of people seem to be confused on the whole CTM glass issue. Instead of actually responding to this with anything new. I shall now demonstrate how useful the search thread feature is by merely quoting a bunch of posts I've already made on this topic:

...I've already given my position on CTM glass many times now. Use the search feature...

...As for CTM glass. CTM itself is a bonus feature, not an essential part of a balanced texture pack. I'm not including it until I have the control I want over glass in general. Besides, people have already released fan versions of CTM glass for my pack, just search down and grab one of those if you absolutely must have it...
Quote from Misa »
...I tried at least 6 ways to make CTM glass look worthwhile, and didn't like how any of them turned out. A lot of the problem is with how glass blocks are horribly unrealistically rendered in default Minecraft to begin with. Only three faces are shown at a time on the blocks, Many of the CTM things I've tried MIGHT work if all 6 sides were rendered. Though texture translucency would be preferable so I can just make some actual glass-like glass texture....
Quote from Misa »
...I answered this like just a few posts above this...
Quote from Misa »
...CTM on my glass makes it look as though there's not even a block there--Which I find makes glass seem almost unnecessary as anything other than a way to block things from moving through something....
Quote from Misa »
...You may notice that I have not done CTM support for glass. This is due to me thinking that it looks absolutely terrible on my texture--it's as if nothing is there at all. If translucent glass becomes possible in the future, I'll reconsider adding this, but for now, I think the default individual panes of glass looks best
Quote from Misa »
...Ideally, I'd like to have properly translucent glass at some point which I'd probably support with CTM as well. Translucent textures are a bit of a problem render-wise at the moment though.
Quote from Misa »
As a general announcement, while I'll be supporting CTM, I likely will not be supporting the connected glass blocks, because I think they look horrendous on my glass (If translucent glass becomes a possibility, I'll gladly reconsider.).
And now for a couple fan-made textures I also found that have been posted on this thread to support CTM glass on my pack: http://cl.ly/0S2j081T1e242z3K2t3p Posted by WhiskeyPapaTango (Drag both files into the ctm folder in the pack.) http://i.imgur.com/Abo2R.png Posted by MCSpanier (Save file as ctm.png and place in the root directory of the pack.)
Search feature. Learn to use it.
On an unrelated topic: I'd like to have CTM support for beds, but at the moment proper CTM support for beds is currently not physically possible.
I love this texture pack. My only complaint is that in the version with the yellow wool as thatching the shearers have a splotch of black pixels when wielded. It would also be cooler if in that version the original weapons were included, because the weapons in the thatching version hardly look professional.
At any rate, I love the variety in the monster models. Variety in monsters has always been a problem with Minecraft

I understand why you are iritated that no one is using the search function. I would be as well, but when a thread is this long you typically don't think about what has and has not been posted.
That being said, I have to disagree with you. From my point of veiw, glass is a pain in the ass to look through when it has a bunch of dots in the way of the veiw. Having glass rendered on both sides would only double this headache. At the same time a fully transparent glass is better for looking through but a lot more deceptive on for the brain. A friend of mine scared the crap out of me by pushing me off a short drop (that appeard to be a long one) because the glass was completely transparent.
I say you release a version of your texture pack with support for glass included using the least anoying of all the glass textures (not transparend but not blocking the veiw either). I suspect you will get nothing less than outstanding reveiws.

I'm a bit confused as to what you're even saying here... The usage of the word 'thatching' seems a bit out of place in spots. The only thing new-ish about yellow wool was a unique top through CTM, and I just wrote a tutorial which has been referenced on this very page for how to remove CTM features you do not want. It then sounds like you're referencing a stray pixel on the shears.. I'll take a close look at those to see if there's an issue and fix it if so. Regarding the 'weapons in the thatching version' hardly looking professional, I really have no idea what you mean...

How does that even follow? When a thread is as long as mine, the first thought to come to me is that it's more likely that my question/comment has already been addressed and will be easier to find with the search feature than it would be if the thread were much smaller. Of course, even if it were a small thread, I'd still use the search feature before bothering to post anyway because it's just smart to find the quickest solution possible.

That's all well and good except that I don't think you even realize what you're disagreeing with... You picked out a single one of the quotations that were in regard to my attempts to make CTM versions of my current glass. As I haven't actually revealed any of these attempts, how you could leap to any conclusions regarding the reference is beyond me. If you'd like to know, I was referring specifically to framing. It is not realistic to have the edges of a cube with transparent or translucent sides only render it as though it has only three sides. Of course translucency on glass textures is not doable at the moment so all that was really referenced by this comment was the framing on a cube with completely transparent sides. Either way, in this instance it's not an issue of whether or anyone agrees with anyone. It's physics.
...At the same time a fully transparent glass is better for looking through but a lot more deceptive on for the brain. A friend of mine scared the crap out of me by pushing me off a short drop (that appeard to be a long one) because the glass was completely transparent...
I don't like fully transparent glass either, but it beats having opaque streaks. Adding CTM support to it would only magnify this effect of invisible walls. The only reason my glass is currently the way it is is because translucent textures do not work properly at the moment. Also I held a poll and the majority voted for the clear, grey-framed glass that is currently in my pack. I've provided the alts in my pack to anyone who wishes to use another type of glass.
...I say you release a version of your texture pack with support for glass included using the least anoying of all the glass textures (not transparend but not blocking the veiw either). I suspect you will get nothing less than outstanding reveiws.
My pack already has 'support for glass.' If you mean CTM support for glass, I posted the link to two fan-made versions of CTM glass that'd be close to all I'd be able to do at this point. It sounds like you're asking for translucent textures. As I already stated, this is currently not possible for glass. You're stuck with complete transparency or complete opacity--no translucency. If you read the entire post with the quotes from me, you'd have noticed that I referenced a desire for translucent textures four times:
Though texture translucency would be preferable so I can just make some actual glass-like glass texture.

You'll just have to wait with the rest of us for good-looking glass. In the meantime, I'm not going to bother with CTM for my current glass because 1) There's no need for it as fans have already released faithful adaptations of it. 2) I personally think it makes the look of glass worse with the whole 'invisible wall' effect. 3) There's currently no way to pull it off with translucent textures.
Can this be the quintessential CTM glass response post now--the one that everyone references so we don't have to continue to discuss this nearly 4-month old issue?
