You didn't need to look through 273 pages, the answer is in the detailed FAQ in the very first post of the thread =P Here's the excerpt:
"Q: Will you make the pack resolution higher than 64x64?
A: Not with the pack in its current state. Possibly when mipmaps are adequately supported by the game. As it is though, my attempts at this have produced undesirable results. Namely HORRIBLY grainy distant textures and atrocious performance issues with the shader maps. "
Meh...I feel silly... I've looked at her post dozens of times, downloaded this pack at least 2 dozen times.. Can't believe I overlooked that in the FAQ. Thanks for pointing that out.
So I'm perplexed.... I've bounced between version 414 and 415... And I've noticed something.
To me, Gravel and Sand look a bit different. Even Stone. Yet when I open the terrain file in Photo shop they appear to be the same (Well at least gravel and Sand do)
I even copied the sand and gravel from 414 to the 415 terrain file, JUST to be sure) and it made no change. When I'm in game, they DEFINITELY look different to me..... Anyone have any ideas as to why this could be? I like the way they look in 414 better.
You didn't see the announcement on the first page.
Either you're using Optifine or you didn't install MC Patcher right.
If it's MC Patcher, then I suggest doing a complete re-install of the game, patching it straight away with the latest version (download it again just to be sure) and then trying the texture pack.
I know that I need to use MCpatcher but unfortunately it is not compatible with one of the mods I use on a regular basis so I am forced to use optifine, which is compatible. . does anyone have an idea what I can do to make the latest version work with optifine. I ask because I need to try and get it working with Red Power so I can continue developing misa inspired textures for the mod.
since they haven't added any new blocks requiring new art files, the pack itself should be ready. although, mcpatcher will probably have to be updated to work right.

Maybe Misa changed the biome colors a bit, so editing terrain.png woudn't do anything. Move to the misc folder instead and compare gravelcolor.png and sandcolor.png of 414 and 415. If there are any differences, just copy the old files into the actiual pack, then it should look like 414 again !
Ah, thanks Zombie. I'll try that. I bet that's what it is. I've tried and tried my hand at creating my own texture packs and I just don't have the knack for it.... They come out so so... I just simply don't have the talent that people like Misa do....

Take and post screenshots. I don't think I changed anything at all between the two versions, but with a couple screenshots I should be able to tell what the problem is instantly. My initial impression is that you either installed CTM on one jar and not the other or used Optifine which this pack is not properly supported by.

This thread is for discussion of this particular texture pack. As your issue could be applied to any high resolution texture pack that makes use of features that Optifine does not support, this is an issue for the Optifine or MCPatcher threads.

Saying that someone's argument is invalid when you apparently haven't even bothered to download my last version of the pack (or even glance at my patch notes) only makes you look like an ass. Every single feature you've listed has been in my pack for quite awhile now. No new blocks have been added in the last 4-5 snapshot versions since my pack's update. No update has been necessary.
So yeah, I'm back from vacation now. Thanks to all of those who covered for me while I was away. I've been semi-back for a couple days, but most of that was spent catching up on the many pages of PM and email responses. Kinda surprised how late the next major update to Minecraft's been pushed back. Especially considering there's been no big content updates. I really hope they throw us a few new features that actually require me to update for to make the time pass faster.

ok, so I did some screenshots, and after comparing them, it turns out I AM going crazy, as there are no differences between them in the sand and other areas... Sorry to have made it sound like something was going on... 4.15 looks great, and I am especially enjoying the new obsidian texture!

I found a texture pack that looks like it has some of your textures without proper credits. He gave credit for 3 textures that he reduced, but I think he used more. Here's the link to the texture packs page: "Idkan's Default Extended Textures" and what I noticed that looked copied:
-Downsized top and bottom for the wool
-Art
-Lightmaps
-Color files in the misc. folder
-MCLogo
Well, I think that's all of them except for the 3 he gave credit for. Also, from what it looks like I'm guessing he had a lot of inspiration from your texture pack.
do you speak german, too? I have got a problem by modifing your ctm but my english will not suffice for this. You got really great ctm-textures but not all work. How do you made them? Mainly the conected workbench is gorgeous. Will you help me?

I don't speak German, sorry. If all the CTM textures aren't working, you need to clean your installation (See my cleaning instructions on the first post here) and ensure you're using the very latest version of MCPatcher.. As for how to make CTM files, see the MCPatcher thread and its section for texture pack authors. It has a detailed explanation of how to format the CTM properties files with some examples for testing.
On a completely unrelated note, I'm just gonna drop a few little teaser shots of stuff that currently being worked on.
CTM = connected textures? i tried patching with and without all these thing activated. still grey netherbrick
The Nether Brick shouldn't be gray, I don't think. I don't know if it should because I'm using an alternate that is colored. For me the Nether Brick Fences are gray, but not the actual Nether Brick. Maybe try using the colored alternate?
Hey Misa, have you noticed this with the sugar cane?
You need to upload the image to a site like imgur.com and then paste the link in here. You can't paste in paths to files on your computer. I would like you to take some time to think about why that doesn't work.
