That is because they are, Photo realism is photos pasted on blocks
Yes, it it looks horrible. Features that aren't flat end up looking flat, because the pictures are, well, flat. The game is not high enough def to support high-res texture packs. 64x64 is a good compromise.
MCPatcher's been updated with a way to work in backwards compatibility for the creative GUI, and as that was the main thing holding me back from updating, I guess there's no point in holding it back any further. So enjoy the early update.
Before it pops up, just to ensure I've already answered this. If you are not using the latest snapshot and fail to follow the installation instructions, you will have problems with the creative item GUI. If you absolutely cannot use MCPatcher, you will need to manually go into the GUI folder of my pack and delete allitems.png and rename allitemsx.png to allitems.png. Note that if you are not using MCPatcher, many features of Custom Colors will not be functioning at the very least.

From my limited knowledge of texture packs, I was attempting to just add the redstone animations (and therefore base textures) into another pack while, as great as this pack is, its just a little to realistic for me in alot of places, but I love many of the animations. Is it possible to port just redstone repeaters and pistons and all redstone animations over to another pack?
hi im gonna download now i hope its as good as they tell me but i have a problem someone help me

as long as you use the link Misa provides, it's perfectly safe. most anti-virus software will toss a warning at you when you go to download any executable file, which MCPatcher is. if your antivirus software is completely blocking the download, you may need to disable it temporarily. if your antivirus still throws a false positive on MCpatcher, you can probably add it to a whitelist in your antivirus so it's ignored in the future.
Hey Misa. Can you bump it up to 128 x 128 and have a separate download in case people like me want a 128 x 128 masterpiece?
No.
Also, there's no such thing as 'bumping it up' to double the resolution. My guess is you've never made a texture pack and if you have, it was probably not 64x64 or 128x128, and if it was, it was probably some stupid photo realism pack.
Doubling the resolution of a pack is not an easy process. Especially with the amount of amazing content already in this pack. It would take months, and Misa has stated that she won't do it anyway, because it would look bad.
I really love this texture pack, it's the only one I use. I recommend it to others as often as possible. Thank you for all the hard work. There is only one thing I am wondering about. I like all the custom lighting that has been added, the sunsets and everything look very cool. However, I have noticed that as soon as an area is sealed off from outside natural light, the lighting level suddenly becomes very dark. Adding torches all over the place does not help. It makes anything that doesn't have a window or skylight to the outside world look very depressing and is rather hard on the eyes after a while. Is there any way to change this very dark indoor lighting back to a normal brightness level without deleting all the other nice lighting effects that have been added?

try adjusting the brightness slider in options or monkeying with your monitor.
true, but the emerald blocks and trip wires don't have textures. :/
whups, didn't realize those weren't in the pack yet.
pretty sure misa has stated numerous times that she's only going to be supporting 64x

Love you, Misa.

So, how many times will she and other need to say she won't do a x128 version?
No.
