Thanks again Zombiehunter. I've already made some sweet looking png's for a crafted ruby and emerald block (I decided to call it emerald instead of jade.) They look just like Misa's Lapis Lazuli, I just shifted the colors to red and green.
Now, the tutorials for how to plug these into the .jar are pretty good, but by the time I get them working, AND get it to be compatible with other mods, I think my brain is going to be pretty sore...
You need to remember that like the MC Patcher, the mod called Optifine is used to both speed up the game and is also an HD fix. Optifine is good for people who have mods, and is compatible with most other mods.

While it is true that it provides an fps boost and hd texture support, it's not a full alternative, Optifine's support for the Custom Colors mod is not too good and Misa's pack ends up messed up in parts(not to mention she has gone over this various times and says it in the op). Plus it's not too hard to install mods with the Patcher.
i want to say that this is one of my favorite texture packs of all time,
the amaunt of detail you put in to the textures is amazing.
i really, really like the pine planks,in my option that is the best plank texture ever, closly foloved by your normal plank.
Hi, Misa!
Is it possible to add connected textures support for some non-solid blocks like vines, sugarcanes, ... ?
I think the new patcher can handle that too ... (not even tried it).
Would be nice to alter the top of sugarcanes so that they don't look so cutted off or to alter the "growing end" of vines hanging down a tree ... you know what I mean? Making theese plants look more realistic ...
No, I'm not dead, just being stretched horribly thin, so I don't really have time to answer questions (Though I do try to answer all PM's--mostly to ensure those seeking permission can get it.). And yes, I'm aware of custom connected texture support on MCPatcher and as far as I can tell, the effect only seems to work well on actual block-shaped blocks. I am aiming to make some otherwise worthless blocks more usable at the moment.
. Optifine is good for people who have mods, and is compatible with most other mods.
It's compatible with other mods that jump through hookps and make sure they don't conflict with optifine, or that provide merged class files. It's frequently a lot easier to get HDPatcher to work with other mods, since it comes in the form of patches, instead of class files. That way there is at least a possibility of it being able to patch an altered class file, instead of trampling on it (overwriting it) like installing optifine would do. IMHO it just does too much for a mod that is distributed as class files.
Two experiments: One is a fix for the sides of jungle trees so that they shade and bow on the sides regardless of width so they better match my other tree trunks which are shaded on the sides, but do not naturally come in trunk widths greater than one block. The other is the cross section of all logs, partly to address the issues posed by the thick jungle trees, and also just to look nice. Log fences will still properly look like individual standing logs on the other three types of wood, but you can do more now with large floor or ceiling areas and logs. The tiling isn't 100% perfect, but it's really probably the best you can get for something that makes use of concentric rings on a square...

That is really amazing! I never realized what possibilities that the Connected Textures Mod of MCPatcher had. ;O
Misa I have a question about your map. I've recently begun using your texture pack and for some reason the texture for mapbg.png shows up as white in game while the actual map entities on it appear as should, I have no idea whats wrong but it just doesn't work properly and I don't know what to do to fix it either.

@Misa, could you please make MCPatcher adverticement in terrain.png have more appropriate colors for Water and Lava tiles? Would immensely help with ingame maps/minimaps.
Right now, they color every lava pool in light pink >.<
