Misa, I think you didn't put the randomob textures for Sheep in your pack. I checked the .png files for all the sheep and they are the same. Ocelots too, but not any of the other friendlier mobs. Checking Hostile Mobs now.
Ok. i have watched your Soul Sand animation at its very smooth so i thought it would be cool to have something similar at the leaves or what about the grass(not tall grass)?...
Short grass typically doesn't wave in the wind, and when it does get manipulated by the wind it's sporadic and in little patches. You can't do that in Minecraft since the texture is tiled every square meter. It would get to be too disorienting given how commonly grass is seen.
Not sure what you do about requests, but here's a great mod that I would love to have official support for...
This mod doesn't meet the requirements posted on my FAQ for mod requests. However you're still free to post your own fan support for this mod and my pack so long as if my work is used you obtain permission via PM.
Would you consider supporting the ExtraBiomesXL mod?
It requires modloader which is a massive red flag for me as I've mentioned many times in the past. Also I notice all of their download links are adf.ly without properly notifying users of this. They don't provide a single alternate link to just try the mod out without committing to supporting them--a practice I'm not too keen on promoting practitioners of.
Hey, so I was poking around, and from version 4.1.1 to version 4.1.2 you reused the name misaflame in your animations folder to animate the torch flames. It was previously used for the blaze animation. I think you overwrote that =P Cause for the life of me I can't find the blaze animation.
Whoops! I've renamed it and put it back in the current developmental version. The animated blaze will be back next time I update.
take a look at the ''TheKingdom'' texture pack, it used a lot of misa's textures.
and I don't think you have given permission for it.
here is a link to the site, http://www.birneee.b.../minecraft.html if you click on the HD Texture Pack: Download button
you get almost a complete copy of your Texture Pack.
They haven't gotten permission and are in violation of my copyright. (no credit to the original author with a link to this pack, usage of adf,ly links, illegal redistribution of randomobs.) Unfortunately I cannot speak German and do not know who to even report them to or how to go about doing so. I could file a DMCA, but I'm not exactly in the best financial situation to cover legal fees and deal with an international copyright suit. So unless anyone can help me out here, I can't really do anything about it at the moment.
in anim/custom_imem_83.png (Diamond Shovel), in the first frame (top image), there is a little bit of transparent gray in the upper right corner. This causes black pixels to appear on the shovel in game when animating. Can you please have a look at this and correct it? Thank you.
...Did you ever thought about Aether-Support for your textures?...
I thought about it but decided against it for several reasons. The main one being that I saw that mod more as a fad than anything that'd become a permanent addition to the game. The mod added too many game-breaking things--like the interface for accessories. I pretty much knew from its release that it'd be doomed to be broken by any updates made to the game. I just now checked their threads, and none of them are updated for the latest game version so there's that.
The second biggest reason being that two people already created texture pack support files for my pack and the Aether (use the search feature on my thread or the Aether thread to find the download links). From what I saw of the textures they did a pretty good job too. I didn't really see a need for me to make my own textures. And considering I never played the mod, I don't think I'd be able to adequately do proper support textures for something I didn't have any passion for. There were other reasons too. But most of those are already outlined in my FAQ regarding mod support.
and i would like to know how you made the clouds look that way on the collage on the main post...
You need what now? And I didn't do anything special for that screenshot. If you want your clouds to look like that, simply follow my installation instructions. My pack will automatically flatten the clouds like that if you're using the latest MCPatcher with Custom Colors checked. (Optifine does not properly support many features of my pack.)
...IT would be amazing if you create a 128x Version of your pack! i know you wrote you won`t but IT would be great! Also in my opinion The planks of pine don`t look nice! I hope i havent critisised too much...
It wouldn't look great, and I've outlined exactly why before (search to find my last few posts on this subject.). As far as the pine planks go, they're not meant to look nice so much as rustic and intimidating. But yeah, I've included plainer versions in ALTERNATES.png. Be sure to check those out. And I'm always open to criticism.
Is it just me or the enderdragon looks alot like Bahamut?
(Epic pack BTW)
I assume you mean bahamut from the Final Fantasy series and not the mythical fish that holds the earth up in Arabian mythology. But probably just you. Bahamut (At least in the main FF games I've played--I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, & IX) was more scaly with metallic-looking scutes. When I designed my Enderdragon I was trying to steer away from the typical scaly look of a dragon to fit the more H.R. Giger-inspired theme I was using for everything else related to the Ender. My enderdragon is black and looks a bit more visceral, slimy and alien-like than scaly I think.
How do you create a texture pack? Because this one is really cool but I could never understand how to make one (except for painterly)
And if it's all technical and stuff screw it... =)
(quoted post)
I have this problem too, but all I'm getting is read the directions and I have but still can't find anything
If you think customizing a texture pack like painterly is making a texture pack (It's not.), then yeah, it's probably a bit too technical. For me all I needed was one single piece of information to get started: You can open minecraft.jar with WinRAR, extract the art files and edit them. Once I knew that, I figured it all out on my own pretty quickly.
As far as your problem goes this is a problem with the online server you're playing on, not my pack.
I really like you pack but I think the swamp water could blend a bit more. (It probably look fine if Notch made the transition better but you can't change that)
(posted image)
I edited the texture and this is what I came up with after a few minutes. Its not as brown as I would like but it's similar to what I think would look better.
(posted image)
I still kinda prefer the muddy brown water myself. The paler water doesn't lend itself well to a realistic representation of a swamp to me. Though yeah, I did kinda like the transition MUCH better on the old biome system. I was able to do a bit more with cleaner-looking blending. Though ultimately I think the new system is better simply because biomes can now be painted on your maps with editors like Worldpainter. And you can do all sorts of nifty tricks with it.
I have MCPatcher 2.3.5_01 and minecraft 1.2.4. Here's how water looks with Misa's:
(posted image)
And here's how it looks when mixed with FVDisco's oCd:
(posted image)
Can someone explain this to me? I want Misa's water and Lava on Misa's texture pack.
What you're posting screenshots of is physically impossible without editing the texure packs themselves. I was BORN on April Fools Day. I'm not gonna fall for this.
Misa, I think you didn't put the randomob textures for Sheep in your pack. I checked the .png files for all the sheep and they are the same. Ocelots too, but not any of the other friendlier mobs. Checking Hostile Mobs now.
Here's what I have:
42 Creepers: Some are they same.
Others are just gradients.
Yes, I did. Sheep wool simply isn't randomized, only their faces really change. You apparently don't have a good eye if you think they look the same. Ocelots never had any randomobs files. (Pro tip: Randomobs are completely optional. And I was the one who initiallly promoted them as a standard must-have mod to begin with.) Again with the creepers I don't think you're looking closely enough, no two creepers are the same, they all have varied color patterns based on the old biome palettes I had as well as some various texture types intended to camouflage them a bit. The only one with a duplicate color/pattern is the default color creeper with the smiley face. And I'm not really sure what you mean by gradients... Do you mean palette swaps?

Yes, palette swaps. Was looking at them VERY quickly. But when I used the Spawn Sheep Eggs, all the wool was white and not colored. I had thought they randomize too.

The classic version doesn't require ModLoader. As for the adfly links, it's neither against the forum rules, nor particular dangerous, since the users don't have to pay anything and can easily see that the link is adfly by looking in the status bar when hovering (like a good internet user should for any link). I suppose I should respect your decision since you make such an awesome texture pack, but I thought I'd register my rebuttal anyway.
Misa, I ain't kiddin. I didn't edit the texture packs. oCd hasn't got custom water textures, does that explain anything? I patch your TP into the jar and select default in game- default water, oCd- Misa water. All same with lava.
Her pack goes INTO the texturepack folder and NOT the .jar file. That's probably why you're having a problem.

I need help. I clicked the " Main Download- Link 1" and it took me to the adf.ly website (the one with the bee on it), and it just seems to freeze. It says "Please Wait" in the top right corner but nothing happens. Is this normal?
Hey Misa, I really love this texture pack, it has always been my favourite, but can you please tell me how to make the water go back to the regular blue rather than the other colours?? Thanks
I've been trying Misa Texture pack but seems my McPatcher cant access the zip file... did your zip was password protected??? because i cant select your Texture pack

I already have that, and it worked the first time... But now all it does is that. Should I re-download the patcher?

The screenshots are kinda outdated. I have a whole mess of villager skins in my pack though.

That gives me the perfect idea for a silly April Fools joke.

This means that your texture pack will not display proper colors for certain blocks (such as water) if Forge is installed.
