It couldn't hurt to release what you already have, provided it's completed and you're happy with it. =] But if you want the blinking eyes to be in everyone's packs, they might not re-download just for that.
i suggest dropbox as a nother mirror download direct dls here we come
Tried it in the past--was a nightmare. I get more traffic than dropbox can handle. It was down due to exceeded bandwidth 90% of the time. And I got more than an earful from users about it.

Animated mobs does mean however that you can animate the fire on your blaze skin.
Also you need to flip the feet on all chicken textures. They're backwards for me.
Already finished the blaze a couple days ago. As far as the chicken feet go, there's nothing wrong with them if you're using the latest pack with the latest MCPatcher with the latest version of the game client. (Always read the Patch Notes.)
And I guess I'll be waiting then to finish up the other mobs. Guess I should probably tackle the villagers too.
Scroll back a few pages. I already responded with two ways of doing this. Also I'm kinda amazed anyone prefered the burgundy fences... I honestly cannot think of a single use for them that wouldn't be better suited for either wood fences or fences resembling wrought iron. Even a google image search for "burgundy fence" yields nothing all that relevant. If you don't mind me asking, what do you use the burgundy fences for exactly? I'm genuinely curious.
Several reasons/uses.
The red color suits the Nether perfectly and is a great compliment to any nether and/or netherbrick-based structure. It also (IMO) matches better with wooden fences when I mix the two.
Many people play with these packs on SMP and while I don't care if the details/design are different, I like to have a color consistency so that people using other packs don't see things that are drastically different than what I do.
I prefer retaining the original 'feel' of the texture. It's an HD realistic pack, sure, but as long as it retains the basic elements from minecraft (color plays a major part in this, personally) I can still 'feel' like I'm playing minecraft, just a better looking one.
Grey makes little sense as an alternative. Wrought-iron? We already have iron bars. Stone? The picket-fence shape seems unrealistic for it. The red brick feels more... alien? I like that.
Nostalgia? Not why I like them, but I'm sure someone else feels this.
These are pretty much opinion-based arguments, but I just wanted to shed some light on why people preffered the old color. As long as it at least remains in the Alternates section, I won't really mind.
For the last time, Optifine does NOT fully support my pack (Despite its claims to support everything MCPatcher does--It doesn't!) and likely never fully will with the constant additions being made to MCPatcher and my pack. I personally boycott Optifine for reasons I've already outlined many times before. (Use the search feature. I'm not going to go over it again.) It's a source of stress for me, and the more I hear about it being used to run my pack, the more demotivated I become in regards to working on new features for my pack. If you have problems and you're using Optifine instead of following my pack's installation instructions, take it to their thread. I really don't need this again...
3. (this isn't a problem) can i have the old wood items? doors fences block etc.
Have you looked through the ALTERNATES.png in the pack? If what you want is in there copy it onto the terrain using a program like paint.net. If not, try and make it yourself using the existing textures.
For example: There wasn't a green bed alternate without the creeper face, so I used the clone stamp to color over the face, and then blend the edges, so I could have the bed I wanted while still using Misa's.
The texture pack has been updated with the animated features I mentioned earlier in the week. See the Patch notes for more details. I decided against doing the villagers just yet. I want to take my time on them and deal with each one individually--maybe have them do a bit more than blink. I'm not really sure yet, but since I know it'll probably consume a lot of time there's no point in holding back the rest of the update until then, so enjoy!
Best texture pack I've ever used! I love how the Nether Brick Fences are black now but I think the Nether Bricks and Nether Brick Stairs were of a better color in the earlier packs... But I think it would be awesome if those were of a bloody redish color becuase I think it would look great in the Nether and go with the theme of what the Nether supposed to be. but either way great texture pack most if not all the staff on my server use it.

Part of the limitation of making the fences black and the bricks red is that they have to share the same base texture, then be colored by a single solid color. So a lot of the contrast and highlights had to be lost to even make this possible. It's very easy for you to change these colors, but if you want the old nether bricks back, you pretty much have to lose the black fences. That's the big trade-off. Personally, I think the lower-contrast Nether bricks are slightly more useful now as roof tiles. With the red lighting my pack has in the Nether the difference is barely noticeable to me in its natural state.
If you ever do want to mess with the colors of the fence and the blocks/stairs, it's pretty simple:
-Extract and open /misc/netherblack.png or /misc/netherred.png. (Can even be done with MS Paint!)
-Use a fill too to fill in whatever color you want for the black and the red.
-Save and re-insert netherred and netherblack into the texture pack.
If you want the old Nether brick look back (at the cost of the black fences) here's how to do that:
-Extract and open color.properties and delete the following lines:
-Extract and open ALTERNATES.png and terrain.png. (You need an editor that supports transparency. PAINT.NET does and is free.)
-Copy and paste the Nether bricks you want from 'ALTERNATES' over the grey nether brick art in 'terrain.'
-Save and re-insert color.properties and terrain.png to the texture pack.
I may do more experiments with this to see if there's a better way to get both the old look of the bricks and the dark grey fences. Making them solid black would be no problem at all. It's removing the reddish color from them while keeping some detail that's the issue.
This texture pack certainly a good one! But I beg to add a CTM *
And tell me why there is ALTERNATES.png
Misa will add CTM support if MCPatcher adds it, and quite frankly it is getting annoying with everyone asking her to add CTM Support, Optifine is a nice Mod but it doesn't provide everything Misa's pack depends on
The Alternates is so if people want one of her old textures in their Terrain.png, they can open a program that supports transparencies(NOT MS Paint) such as Gimp or Photoshop and add it manually
I love misa's realistic, but it's really annoying at times. Know where you can download the new mcpatcher? I've checked every site I can and haven't found it.
Thx

using this since 1.5
Yes, Misa, go for it, tackle the villagers too!
1.i have optifine which has mcpatcher pretty much on it and i still have problems...
2.why is the nether brick/stairs/fence white?
3. (this isn't a problem) can i have the old wood items? doors fences block etc.
