Let me start by Saying I love the Pack, and have been using it since about Beta1.3, 1.4 (can't remember, my numbers could be way off).
There are just a couple things, you mentioned above that the netherbrick should go back to it's old burgundy if patched correctly, and I have done so, except my netherbrick is more pink than in 1.1. Is this intentional, or has something gone awry? The other thing is the nether-fence. You explained why you made the change, and I understand and respect the reasons, but I tend to build mostly with stone/cobble/stonebrick and the splashes of color I got from burgundy fencing were excellent. Is there a way I can get my colored fence back? And if the pink netherbrick was intentional, is there a way I can make it look like 1.1 again?
Thank you for the Lovely-Epic-Awesome Pack, and for any assistance you are able to offer.
If you want to change the color of netherrack, it's pretty simple. Open /misc/netherblack.png or /misc/netherred.png And fill in whatever color you want for the black and the red. (At default it shouldn't look pink unless your gamma or brightness is way too high--on my monitor with pantone-calibrated gamma, 15-30% brightness is what I usually play on and optimize the pack around.)
If you want the old Netherbricks, there's two things you have to do:
1-Open color.properties and delete the following lines:

I went with the second variant, though I will keep the first in mind. Applying colors like that could be useful...
Anyway, worked Perfect. Thanks again for your excellent pack, and thanks for helping me play it the way I want.
Ok now that any texture can be animated I would love to see creepers with glowing hearts and/or eyes. Or have them slowly pulse from dark to slightly glowing and back. Nothing to drastic. Just make it easier to see the bastards in those dark caves.....
I tried Googling this, but all the results showed texture packs with the word star in them...
Is it possible to change the star texture? If not, cuold some HDPatcher hackery alleviate this? I love your pack, but I'm afraid to look up at night...
When you animated the mycelium block sides did you keep the mycelium separate from the dirt first, and possibly save it. I ask cause I use a different dirt texture, and I was hoping I could just paste it on top.
In the picture, the clouds pixelated than the pictures in the startpost. In what could be the problem? :/
No problem, other than you're up in the air and close enough to them to see the pixels. Clouds are meant to viewed mostly from a distance. Anyway even at close distances, they're still less blocky than the default clouds. The only way to "fix" this would be to increase the cloud cover resolution by an insane factor that'd basically kill the performance on most computers that run Minecraft.

I never really was fond of the idea of creepers with glowing eyes. To me they're supposed to be like a stealthy mob. Something that creeps around and blends in with its environment. To me the soulless black lack-of-eyes is more fitting. I would like to add blinking eyes to the passive mobs though, and mobs with fiery effects (blazes, magma cubes, endermen) Mobs will be somewhat lower in priority to a few other basic things that I actually requested the animated texture support for--simply because animating mobs properly will take a LOT of work. The main reason I requested animated texture support for all art files was for interface reasons. Namely underwater caustic simulation and a way to replace the dark haze around the screen with something more realistic like a "filmgrain" filter to simulate the noise generated by the human brain when light signals aren't being interpreted well due to poor light conditions. You'll probably be seeing some of those later this week or so.

I only would prefer a bit less opaque water...
It had to be made slightly more opaque than it used to be so the swamp water would look muddy rather than tea-like. It was a compromise that just had to be made.

It's currently not possible to change the star texture. Skybox support may be the only way to make this work out well. And as soon as it's possible, you can be sure I'll be all over adding a really nice night sky to my pack.

No, I didn't. The color change stuff was just hue shifting mask that faded into the dirt. If you want to use your custom dirt on it, you'll need to make a dirt later that blends into what I have and paste it on each frame. Mycelium doesn't work like the sides of grass.

Using the latest MCPatcher release I now have this unusual coloring where my Jungle meets my Mushroom biome. Very pink... lol
Intentional. Mushroom land is trippy! All the trees are brightly colored. Oak trees are pink, jungle trees are a purplish color, birch trees are a bright fluorescent green color, and pine trees are a bright teal blue. The aim was to fit the whole crazy fantasy setting I have going for the giant mushroom biome. Since it's a rare biome, I wanted it to be sort of an out-of character crazy zone that contrasts with the muted earthy colors in the rest of the areas in my pack. If you want to change it it's a simple matter of opening the /misc/foliagecolor images in MS Paint and looking for the bright circle near the top left and filling it in with whatever color you want. Biomes are now extremely easy to customize. See here for details on how to make your own custom biome palettes for any pack really easily from scratch: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/870780- I've done all the setup work for you, you just have to fill in whatever colors you want. And don't forget to bump this thread with comments so other artists can find it easily.

Is there a way to change the water colour a bit into a bit more water colour, mine seems to be really odd lol.
If your water is grey, follow the installation instructions. You need the latest MCPatcher and custom colors must be checked. If you have a problem where the actual water colors in my pack aren't to your liking, you can easily change them to be whatever you want. (See the response above for details!)

how do i install the new textures?snce i have to in order to play in my new world.please tell me.
Follow the installation instructions. They're step-by-step and very straight forward.
I'm not sure if this was a bug for my game or something but when I tried to get into the Brewing Stand everything was white and I couldn't see anything
Hey Misa. Great Texture pack, I'd use it all the time if my computer wasn't so old. Anyway, I was wondering If you could add Connected Texture Mod support. You know, the CTM.png file. The original mod hasn't been updated, but Optifine now includes support and MCPatcher might sometime soonish(Or at least people have been asking for it). Thanks for reading.
Misa I have been using your texture pack for almost a year now and its the one texture pack I cant seem to stray from......
in fact I was so excited about your 1.2.3 one, I used mc patcher first. closed mc and then added your texture pack into the folder it belongs and well its still grey on the screen when I go into mc.
Is there something wrong with mc patcher or the texture pack? I've re downloaded both multiple times today and I'm going insane

works fine for me. try doing a clean install listed in misa's post on the first page.
This is my first post I think but I wanted to say thank you to people like the maker of Misa and MCPatcher for their hard work in not only keeping their creations up to date but also allowing people to download and use these without the use of ad.fly and of course, for helping those of us who are not as computer savvy as everyone else. While the instructions sometimes come off as slightly harsh, I am able to download and use things of this magnitude without having to beg and plead for my room mate to help me with it. I really honestly appreciate the time, effort and love you put into your art work and that you are so forthcoming and ready to share with the community. I think it's great. I have been a very long time lurker, but after I just realized there might be an update and logged in then just for kicks thought I'd check to see if MCPatcher needed updating I saw a link directly to this from MCPatcher. I've been using your theme pack for ages now but didn't know it was directly linked like that, I clicked on it and shrugged figuring it had been too soon for anything solid but right there it says updated March first. I don't know how much time and effort goes into making things like this and the patcher, I can only imagine and personally I couldn't handle it. I just want to say thank you so much for undergoing something like this and really sticking with it. It's my favorite and will always be. I don't know if you creators really hear just a genuine 'thanks' near enough.
