Quick tip for those who want the sandstone textures to blend in with the sand:
Find color.properties in texture pack, open it up and find "palette.block./misc/sandcolor.png=12", at the end add 24 and 44:1 which are sandstone and sandstone slab textures respectively, and overwrite it.
Full line should look like this:
I love this texture pack!!!! Its so realistic the lighting is amazing and the water colors are so aweomse too! everything about this texture pack is Amazing! Great Job!
I've been using this texturepack for a long time now, and then suddenly, the underwater GUI (as in when you dive, theres a new gui that makes it more realistic and harder to see through water) isn't there, allowing me to see all of the underwater world as bright as day. Almost as though there is no water there at all.
I've tried re-installing all of my rendering mods and software, re-installing the pack, clearing out memory, clearing out the MC folders and so on. I've also checked my graphics, etc; any idea? Help would be appreciated, thanks!
I JUST NOTICED that the moon, if you look closely and at a certain angle, has a creeper face made of craters XD
Btw Misa, texture pack is tres bien...
...it's really good!
Believe it or not, that creeper moon was the first component of my pack shared with the public before my pack was ever actually released. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/49714-
If you want another historical bit of backstory behind the pack (Also involving the creeper moon.), check this old post out. It's a thread on Halloween textures where I first posted some screenshots of my own private pack. People liked it and requested that I share it, so I completed it that night--updating a checklist you can see there as I worked. Had I never posted those screenshots there, the pack may have never been uploaded and posted. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/66584-

I too have noticed that the bread looks a little off. I think the problem is that it looks extemely shiny. Especially for a loaf of bread.
It's called egg wash. You brush it on breads and pastries before baking to make them shiny and golden brown. http://i.imgur.com/nrYUh.jpg

This is epic! But can you please remove the star thing from the enchantment table? Its looks like an Illuminahti thing
It's simply a standard pentacle. It's a commonly repeated symbol used in many cultures since ancient times to symbolize many different things. My usage of it is closer to Neopaganism where it's more or less just a symbol of magic.

...I am begging you to do something about your basic stone texture. Everything else looks beautiful, but the basic stone texture have a horrible tiling issue. If you look at it from far away, the differences in brightness in different parts of the texture makes a diamondshaped grid pattern. I have tried, several times and with disasterous results, to fix this myself, but to no avail. Will you do this? Please?
I've kinda worked my way into a corner on this one. The problem is many other textures rely on the smooth stone texture I currently have, the ore ones would definitely need to be altered as well. And I have attempted to redo it several times before, but I always run into the snag of it looking too flat and not matching the general look of the current one. I'll try playing with it some more, but I can't make any real promises...

Return the version bump mapping textures
Read the FAQ and follow the link to see what you can do to help get me to support GLSL again.

Do i need to use MC Patcher HD to fix the grey water?
because i use Optifine
To just fix the water (Well the surface texture anyway) you may use Optifine, however you will be missing many features of my pack if you don't use MCPatcher as well.

OptiFine now supports everything MCPatcher supports.
This is just blatantly false. Next time actually do testing instead of parroting such bold claims from the Optifine thread.
Despite Optifine's claims to support everything MCPatcher does it is missing many elements of Custom Colors that I've worked hard to support on this pack. I've tested Optifine just now to verify this. All tests were done using the manual installation method. I've not tried their auto-installer, but I imagine the results would be the same if it's just a simple injector.
As someone who helped with the concept design for it, I can safely say their form of Custom Colors is kind of a joke. Many of the features of Custom colors this pack supports aren't even implemented at all! (See my changelogs for details.) And the features that are implemented also seem to be bugged or missing functionality in several areas. (Purple trees, nonfunctional light rendering method options, etc.)
And then there's a bunch of other weird bugs with the stuff copied from MCPatcher like the issues with Randomobs for tamed wolves, lack of advanced animation controls, lack of texture pack customization of cloud rendering for high resolution clouds, etc.
On top of all this, it doesn't appear to even support the latest snapshot. So, no. The latest version does not support everything MCPatcher or my pack does.

Unless this 'underwater GUI' you refer to is another mod, I'm not really sure what you're referring to. If it's just the general effects that appear on the screen when diving underwater, they're still there on my end. I did some tests and notice there was no difference between the underwater fog intensity or watery texture overlay I have on my pack. The only change is that when underwater on my pack, the water fog color will change to match the surface water color (Will not work on Optifine.) In some parts with warmer tones (swamps) the dynamics of the water fog may appear to be clearer but really have the same visibility as say the deep ocean (Which I kept close to the default blue fog color from vanilla Minecraft).
The best solution I could come up with was to increase the opacity of /misc/water.png. The results weren't all that great, but they've given me an ingenious idea on how to fake good-looking underwater caustics that would decrease visibility while increasing underwater eyecandy. I'll run the idea by Kahr. Thanks for making me think of how to improve this.
Not Letting me download via adf.ly that leads to mediafire (obviously) It says the link is broken, please fix! I love this pack, it is the best pack I've used, I only use 2 different packs. Yours is one of them!

I did actually use OptiFine with the new features before making the post. It *appeared* to me to have the custom colors working correctly (in fact, I complained numerous times in the OptiFine thread about how the mod *wasn't* providing custom colors and so MCPatcher was still needed). Of course, I am not as acutely aware of all the various details of the pack as you are, so I guess I missed some. I wasn't trying to spread blatant falsehoods. I really thought that OptiFine, as of 1.1 HD C, actually supported everything from MCPatcher. I'm sad to hear that it doesn't. I'd rather use MCPatcher, but I need the performance improvements and detail controls that OptiFine offers and I really like BetterSnow (if MCPatcher added that, I might be willing to suck up the performance loss and just use MCPatcher).
I always have to ask...why can't MCPatcher and OptiFine work together? They both do the same kinds of things and these needless duplication is just causing problems for everybody.

OptiFine supports most of the features of CustomColors, but not all of them.
Most notably custom torch and skylight is still missing as stated in the TODO list.
There's something wrong with the Cave Spider textures. Almost as if they have a second invisible head. Here's a screenshot. http://i.imgur.com/pr574.jpg
It also makes the water invisible where the "extra head" is. http://i.imgur.com/gP7Dv.jpg

You shouldn't if your optifine is up to date.
If you don't use MCPatcher, you'll be missing out on a lot of the special features of the pack.

Open the zip of the pack and copy and paste it over from ALTERNATES.png to terrain.png.
10/10!!!
Is the main download for the latest MC build or the latest official MC version?
Just read the changelog, don't worry, Love your work btw.

Oh. Well, I've never heard of that before! D:
Even in real life I think it looks silly. o_o
At least now I know it's based on reality, it may not seem quite as unusual.
