im not sure if this is possible, but i have a few suggestions. Lots of Rep as well for you.
When I saw the animated furnace for the first time, my eyes almost ran out of my skull towards the screen in excitement..and again with the absolutley beautiful biome specific textures, random mob textures and other little but really great additions. So Good Work no GREAT work, and keep it up, ill go through ad-fly every day if you updated it that often to show my support.
Now my ideas;
Weather/situation specific Animations for blocks
--When raining, the block will look flooded and wet, will have an animation that transitions from dry to wet, then back as a storm enters and leaves.
--Fire will make the block look Hot, with ash or have a glow to it until the fire ceases by our choice or natures
--Melting snow, when a torch, lava, fire, lightning strike, or the like is by snow, the snow takes a sec to disappear(if this damages the block then i think it would be possible to do. Over the course to melt to nothingness
--Grass/leaves to have a slight animation giving the user a feeling that wind is blowing (same direction as clouds) can be another way of identifying north)
Is it possible to show the ore or item within the furnace, as its smelting, from its raw form to the new form(a sort of item specific progress bar)..
Some of my other requests are for something as stated in your op is not likely, but i still would love a texture pack of the Main Forge Mods(Red Power 2, Industrial Craft 2, Build Craft 3.x.x, and Equivalent Exchange 6.x), possibly RailCraft and Thaum Craft used just as often as them. If it would be possible?
Really most of this would need to be taken up with a modder. She could maybe do the textures afterward, but I don't think she'd want to install the mod. You might be able to convince her to animate the leaves, but they wouldn't direct you to north do to the way the texture repeats on all sides of the block. The grass is a maybe tho.

A: Possibly. But most likely not. I only try to support purely graphical mods. Any mod that alters entities, gameplay or adds any other thing to the game that can corrupt your saves will not be supported by me. If you find a non-intrusive, purely graphical mod, please suggest it for my review. See here for more details. I will then decide whether or not I will support it with my art. I will take alternate texture requests though. Best place to suggest those is in my Tinychat (Mon-Fri).
I love this pack. I've been using it steadily since Beta 1.5. I've changed packs a couple of times, but I always end up back with this one. Keep up the great work!

Too bad there's no way to do it for Creepers.
Suicide bombers and kamikaze were suggested to me a couple times, but I think those might be too racially and politically charged. I'm always open to more ideas for Randomob alts though. I enjoy working on the bipedal humanoids and spiders the most. Though I'm not going to do any easter egg spiders. I kinda like to keep the reality-based things real and just go crazy on the fantasy stuff. Animals can be a pain for me, but if I get a must-do idea for those, I'll probably consider them. I may toy around with NPC villagers a bit. Dunno if I'll have a massive variety for those, but maybe at least female counterparts would be nice. We'll see.

In your pack, there are custom textures, like "custom_terrain_50", which correspond to diamond ore. Moreover, ID of diamond ore is 56, and not 50. So, if I've got the file "custom_terrain_89" for example, how do I now the block which corresponds to this file?

It goes by texture ID, not block ID.
Count the tiles on terrain.png or items.png left to right, top to bottom starting at 0.
Hello I have used your texture pack since 1.5 beta and I just got a new Mac (lion) and got the Texture-pack installed correctly but "TMI" doesn't seem to want to load so wasn't sure if thats a new problem with MCpatcher or not since i have never had this problem before.

I made an account on these forums to purely congratulate you on an amazing texture pack. I usually just come on and look at mods/packs to download but nothing has made me happier than this pack. I actually deleted all of my other packs because this is exactly the pack that I was looking for.
Also when I look at the solid stone blocks I swear there is a woman's face looking at me. Maybe that is just me though.

if you used kahr's HD patcher and didn't uncheck randomobs, yes, you do have it installed
