ROFL. Nice sig. Maybe you should take your own advice and read her first post?
No need to insult, I had it disabled because I was haveing problems with another texture pack I was ALSO using (LB Photo Realism). Since it's not been updated yet, I'll have to see if it has any problems with Custom Colors when it is.

Life is a Learning Curve.... Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
All i did was extracted the zip so i can edit the file, then recompressed it into a zip. Patched it and loaded the game. Ill try to see if i saved as .png but im sure i did
EDIT: I did save it right.. it might not be compressing right but i dont see how it wont.
My guess is that you are clicking on the folder Misa402 and selecting the ZIP compress option. That does create a zipfile, but the zipfile has this Misa402 folder inside it. What you want to do is go *into* the Misa402 folder, select all the files and then select the option to compress to a zipfile. This will create a zipfile that has no top level directory, which is what the game expects.
To test if you've done it correct, if you go into the new zipfile and you see just a single item called Misa402, you've done it wrong. If you see all the texture files and whatnot, then you've done it correctly.
Is anybody else noticing that things are overly bright at night? The sky and such goes dark, but the ground is still very bright, even if I set brightness down to minimum. If I turn off "Custom Colors" then it goes away (but then water and such is gray), and things are dark as they should be. It basically makes torches not even necessary.
if the textures you are trying to replace are animated, they are not taken from terrain.png (how would you get multiple frames of animation from a static terrain.png?) You see them before you use the HD patcher since it is the HD patcher that enables the animation - without it no animation, so the tiles are read from terrain.png.
To use the alternates, replace them in the terrain.png, then delete the default misa animated versions so HD patched minecraft falls back to terrain.png. Look in the anim folder
Thank you so much Mamiya! As much as I'd like to have animations for the alternates I picked I'm just glad to have them working. Maybe someday Misa will make animations for her gold/diamond/restone torch/glowstone alternates.

Anybody have any ideas?
No, sorry.
I get no such thing!
Maby,(just maby) you have another mod that's messing with Misa.
It happened to me.
I installed a new mod called more world options, and the custom sky colours didn't work anymore.
When I uninstalled it, the sky was back to normal!

Well, this was on a fresh update to 1.1. I did install SPC, but then when I was messing around with MCPatcher, it removes it when I hit unpatch, so I tried it with and without.
However! I did change the lightmap from the default one to the one named lightmap-1. This could be the issue I suppose. I will have to give it a try. I just REALLY dislike the strange colors I get with the default lightmap. Inside my builds ends up looking red and purple and such. I much prefer the older coloring.
Loving the colors :biggrin.gif: However I am having problems installing forge...
Seems if i place the forge file in the .jar first I can use MCpatcher (HD, randommobs, dym lights) However Custom Colors is greyed out (says world, render classes do not match). However I can run forge just fine (w/o custom colors).
Now if I Mcpatch first w/o custom colors, then add forge. All the forge mods crash =/
try using the MCPatcher to add forge. when you run it, press the plus symbol and select the zip with forge in it (if there is such a thing). That's allowed me to use a few otherwise incompatible mods before

Thank you for that info! +1. I love this texture. The recent lighting changes were not my favorite so upon seeing how you can remove them in the FAQs, I was having issues with reziping the texture. Your advice saved my favorite texture!
Once again, Misa, great work! Thanks for the prompt updates.
I am now an avid user of your texturepack! It was a tough decision between this and Creative_One's Medieval textures, but I decided this fit more comfortably with my playstyle :smile.gif:
Unfortunately I have an ugly issue with the new 1.1, where swamp waters have polluted my once beautiful waters:
This is a 1.1 issue, not a mod issue, but I am hoping to learn how to use alternative textures to try out wiping out the swamp waters completely. I know you don't give texture edit support, but hopefully someday I can learn to fix this! Darn ugly swamp biomes.
Or is this actually something which is not intended because I ran MCPatcher after I installed? :tongue.gif:
The only constructive crit I'd have is to make the tree leaves blend better. I'm not a fan of the blocky feel on leaves, that not even the Default has. Otherwise, everything else is amazing.

So even if spout is updated to 1.1 recommended build it still wont play nice with your texture pack? I dunno.. maybe I'm missing something, but I don't understand how Spout and HDPatcher interact with each other. I haven't had issues in the past with the two, but maybe I just didn't know it was happening?...
Spout has its own built-in high resolution texture pack support which, if I'm not mistaken, overrides MCPatcher. MCPatcher's been updated quite a bit recently--adding new features which Spout hasn't been able to keep up with.

Where did you find the spawn eggs? '-'
This is a weird question for a texture pack thread. But they're available in creative mode only.

How can i get rid of the nasty brown water? In the pool i made half of it is brown and the other is blue.. Its also like this in the ocean
Don't let so many little kids in the pool. Or yeah, do what MamiyaOtaru said.

I have a suggestion : why not a 128*128 Misa texture pack, It will be greate, no ?
Nope, and several times I've explained in detail why. This is all in my FAQ.

How do you get the different clouds and sky colours like in the screenshots? Or were those specially edited with other mods just for display?
Ensure Custom Colors is checked when you install the latest MCPatcher.

the mediafire doesn't want to start the download
megaupload works fine
Sometimes fileservers go under maintenance and don't allow downloads for a short period of time or are blocked by certain countries. This is why I have mirrors in the first place.

Well then I've got a problem. I'm just getting default skies and clouds. I have installed this pack correctly (I've installed it lots of times for different versions of Minecraft) with all boxes ticked on MCPatcher. Everything else works but as I say, I'm only getting default skies and clouds.
Sounds like you forgot something simple. Ensure you've grabbed misa402 and actually selected it in-game Even without MCPatcher properly installed, the clouds should definitely change with the latest version of my pack.

Hello Misa,
can you make an alternative, darker texture of wood like this?
Looks like you already have one right there. Seriously though in what sense? Do you want my normal wood pattern with just that darkness, or do you want it darker and with the planks lined up like that with nails and defined sides? You have to be specific with alternate requests. This is why I prefer people to ask me for these on my Tinychat. I can show them what I'm doing and ask questions to ensure I've gotten it to their liking.

Haha, no wonder... Those definitely aren't alts in there! You should not be swapping them around and expect good or realistic results. They are for all three different environments in the game:
-1 = Nether
0 = Overworld
1 = End
Naturally if you use the Nether or End lighting for the Overworld there will be no difference between day and night because neither of those realms have day and night and are stuck with a constant ambient lighting. And you'll also get weirdish colors since the Nether and End have different lighting requirements when compared to the Overworld. If you want the old default game lighting for a certain realm, simply delete the the appropriate lightmap for that realm.

Actually my post just before this one explained how you could easily accomplish this with no more than MSPaint. You might want to go back and read that.

I see you partially support PowerCraft (redstone pulsar block). But why you won't support it completely by providing textures for gates, conveyors. automatic workbench, etc.?
Er, I believe you're mistaken. I don't partially support PowerCraft. I made no redstone pulsar block (I don't even know what that is). Could you post a screenshot of what it is that you think is my partial support for this mod? I'm curious to know the source of this confusion.

Hi MISA
I hope your still reading this thread
I´ve used your texture pack for a while now and I simply love it above all else.
The other reason I´m here today is this:
you and few other "Pixel Artists" have inspired me to work on a private project
i´ve like I said used your textures and thereby noticed you have a person that used your ideas for IC2
as a smaller expansion to your texture pack.
Iv´e started doing the same with "Red Power 2" a very nice and nifty mod around "Red Stone" uses
and I´m still working on it, but the thing is I would love to release it when its finished to Expand your pack further, I´m asking you for that reason, It´s your Pack.
I´m new to the scene of "pixel working" and I would love to show you how far I´ve come, and I WONT release it without your words and I may even with your permission throw some samples on this thread
Cheers, CvX
I read it daily usually and respond whenever there's enough worth responding to. Every single post, PM, email, or comment on PlanetMinecraft is checked daily though. Also since the nature of this request is permission, please submit it via PM for record-keeping purposes. I need to be able to keep track of who I've given permission to and the search PM for user feature is how I do this. I get many reports of stolen work and I don't remember everyone I've given permission to, so that's usually the first place I look to see if the violation report is valid or not.

On Fancy graphics, the corners are sort of rounded, which means there's weird looking holes in trees:(snip)
They don't blend with each other and I think they look a bit like green paint splattered on a green block or something on Fast graphics:(snip)
Sorry for just saying that "They look ugly", I'm not very good at describing things The other textures are amazing, I really like how the flowing water moves really fast!
The rounded effect was intentional. I didn't want leaves to look like blocks so much as more organic-looking clusters of leaves. However you should not be seeing the blatant holes very often in proper leaf clusters on trees. For the most part your trees should just look like they have rounded edges. And leaves behind each other should mask those holes except in a few rare cases with corner parts. You can see I've done the same with the pine needles. As far as fast graphics go, my leaves aren't really intended for fast graphics. They're only there for completion's sake. Chances are if you need to use fast graphics, a high resolution texture pack probably isn't the best choice to begin with. I've thought about messing with redoing my leaf formula a few times, but I've not gotten many complaints about them since I first release my pack over a year ago. And no one seems to provide an example of what direction I should take into consideration. So I sorta doubt they'll be changing anytime soon. I'm open to suggestions though for adding to the ALTERNATES.png file.

Does it matter, if I use your spider's "eye design" in my hd pack?
Yeah, that's not my doing. That's just my default jukebox/noteblock art and it looks like the mod just added a red color to it automatically. Probably hard-coded. Kind of like how redstone wire is white in the texture pack but colored red in-game.
I hope more features like this comes out in the future!
