I did this and everything else I could think of, yet I still get grey water. What gives? I'm certain that I'm using the latest MCPatcher (2.3.0_01) and your latest pack (401). I completely uninstalled Minecraft, re-downloaded everything, ran MCPatcher, placed your texture pack in my texture pack folder, I didn't install any other mods, and still grey water. Help?
I am having this same exact problem. I have uninstalled EVERYTHING, all my texture packs, mcpatcher and minecraft itself. Started out fresh. I re-installed the latest version of everything and still get white water. I thought I was the only one having this problem as well.
Here you go ;-) http://imgur.com/a/hXTDQ#0
The John Smith's one is here as reference. I took screenshots with the same brightness with both, and the change is barely noticeable with John Smith's.
Thanks for your help :-)
OK, I get it. It is the texture pack (for once!) I apologize for my assumption.
Misa takes advantage of (and helped the development of) MCPatcher's custom colors. You're seeing a combination of colors for torchlight and coloration for stone blocks. Sadly, I have no idea what to do about that, outside of adjusting your monitor's contrast curve. On my monitor, even the darkest image you posted has enough contrast to easily see detail - though the screenshots made it clear what the problem is.

There is a "lightmap.png" in the "enviroment" folder and and some alternative ones. You just need to change the name of the alternative lightmap (I think it's "lightmap1.png") to "lightmap"!

Same here. I can't figure out what the deal is. I'm on a Mac, btw.

Guess I've got a bit of catching up on the thread to do after I answer the over 9000 PM's and emails I have. Now if only I was fond of coffee. Anyway for my regulars and anyone else who was wondering or needs tech support, my Tinychat is now open again.

Since I really don't feel like doing a massive response post to all the stuff posted when I was on my break, I'm just going to respond to stuff posted after my moment of return. If you had an old post that demands a response from me, respost it. If it's regarding permissions--like this:

PM it to me. I need to be able to keep track of who has my permission so when people report my work being stolen without permission I can easily find out if it actually is or not. Okay, onto the responses:

Any chance of getting a technic pack version of your pack, Misa?
I don't even know what this means. Care to elaborate?

love it but the new lightning i a way too dark
Then delete the lightmap files in the environment folder. As stated a few times before the lighting is still a work in progress. If you don't like it at the moment, it's easy enough to remove.

If you had mods at one point delete everything but your saves folder and texturepacks folder, redownload the game files by running Minecraft. Then run MCPatcher as usual. Only other pointers I can make are to ensure MCPatcher is manually directed to your minecraft.jar located in the bin folder, ensure Custom Colors is checked, and never touch the "Force Update" option in the Minecraft launcher, since it'll naturally just remove MCPatcher after you've installed it.
That should just about cover it for now. Remember if you weren't answered because your post was too old, just post it again.
Hey, I know you say to ask you though your tinychat for alternate texture requests, but I work while that's up. So I'm asking here. I was wondering if you'd be up for doing some inline textures for a few of your alternates?
~like some sparkly sparkles for this diamond block
~and some pulsing glow for this glowstone
I was trying to match it a little to the flicker of the light from it, and it was almost enough to make me cry. I really suck at the inlines.
Also, I know these didn't come form your pack (so I don't know if you'd feel comfortable doing it) but I really like the look of these lapis blocks
~Or if anybody know what pack these came from I would greatly appreciate you letting me know.
Misa, this is a request that I'm sure you'll say no to, but I'm going to ask it anyway. My main use of glowstone is as a sort of modern light (many people do that). However, the current texture does not really fit that usage, looking instead like glowing rocks (I know, right?). Obviously, I can copy a more appropriate static texture from your wonderful alternates PNG, but that won't help with animation. Would you be willing to make an animated version of a more lamp-like glowstone that one could sub out for the current animation? I'm not at all a graphically capable person, so I think making this work would be beyond my abilities. You, however, have shown that you are more than adept at such a task. Should I hold my breath?

Is there a way to select which mob textures appear with randomombs? Or do you get the full assortment.
This is a REALLY cool pack. Thanks for all your hard work.
