A few days ago, I was like "meh, it's good but... I'll skip it for now", and now it's awesome! Going to install it, never seen this realistic, balanced and 100% perfect texture pack before :wink.gif:
WOW! this is awesome!
Can i just say the zombie, skeleton, and Ghast scare the CRAP out of me.
I WOULD get nightmares from minecraft if i got this pack.
I'm gonna download it now!

-v1.4 Support Files for MrMMods SimpleMap + Ambient Occlusion
1.After installing the texture pack, download the latest version of this mod.
2.Extract mod files into your minecraft base folder (not bin).
3.Drag and drop my mmcolors.png and overlay.png into the 'mod' folder this mod creates.
4.Run the mod's patcher according to its readme.
I am having trouble with step 3. I cannot find either mmcolors.png or overlay.png in the zip. I think this might be because both links in the OP lead to the complete texture pack:

-v1.4.5 Complete Texture Pack http://www.mediafire.com/?2ayw8q4dprtecb4(Read the installation notes!)
You'll note both links are the same and lead to the complete texture pack, and I think mmcolors.png and overlay.png would be the support files mentioned.
Any help would be fantastic. Thank's so much!
Also, the mod is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see it paired up with the occlusion mod as well.
Hey, I love your pack, and I run it on my PC. But for my mac... I think it would be of great help if you could make the files .zip, as they are MUCH easier to unpatch and run for a computer-illiterate such as myself. if you can do this :smile.gif:
Tried out the new lava and water and they look great!
My problem is though they are doing that 100 MPH movement thing. If anyone knows of a fix for that please do let me know.
Otherwise nice job again Misa...just keeps getting better and better...
to nanno11, these steps are taken directly from MrM's site:
HOW TO INSTALL - If you're not comfortable doing any of these steps, best not to play with it, just to be safe.
1. Unzip the entire contents of this zip file to your Minecraft folder. In windows this can be found at "%appdata%/.minecraft" . Not sure where it lives on a Mac, search for it I guess.
(PLEASE NOTE when I say .minecraft, I mean .minecraft, not .minecraft/bin)
If you do this right it will create a new directory under .minecraft called "mods", where all the settings for SimpleMap live, and a patcher called MrMPatcher.jar which is based on MCPatcher by xau.
2. Follow the rest of the instructions in README.txt

I'd suggest trying a fresh install just to be safe. You need to do the HD fix and the installation of my pack first.
If you're using any other mods, lemme know. There's a certain order some things have to be installed. For just my pack and MrMMod though you run xau's MCPatcher first, then manually install my texture pack (Follow instructions on the first page.) to minecraft.jar, and then lastly you get to MrMMod's thing:
1. In the .minecraft folder (crucial) extract the contents of MrMMod. It should create two things: 'MrMPatcher.jar,' and a folder called 'mods'
2. Download my support files and drag mmcolors.png and overlay.png into the "SimpleMap" folder located in the 'mod' folder.
3. Run MrMPatcher.jar
4. Check the options you want. The minimap is what my files are for.
And that should do it. If you're using the BetterGlass mod as I am, you need to install that before you even use MCPatcher or install my pack.
I haven't downloaded anything yet, I am a but confused about all the downloads on the first post and the "HD texture" thing,
Can someone give me simpl,e instructions on what to download and where to put what where?
All you need is the Full Package (the first link in the OP), currently v1.4.5. Then you need to download MCPatcher, if you don't have it already. You also need to ensure there are no other 3rd party Texture packs in the new folder for them.
Once you've downloaded the Texture Pack, and MCPatcher, and removed any other 3rd Party Texture packs from the new folder for them, then simply start MCPatcher. Once it's opened, Browse to to wherever you saved the Texture Pack on your machine for the Selection that is looking for it (3rd selection down). Then Patch. It's as simple as that. It generally takes me less than a minute to download a new pack, and then install it. It's really a very simple system.
Good luck, and have fun!
I found the .rar "Texture Overhaul" file and put it in the third selection box, "Texture pack" but It just opened "Log" with the option to "Copy to clipboard"

Don't use the selection box on the patcher. Follow the instructions on the main page: Run the patcher by itself with the five options checked, and afterwards open minecraft.jar with winrar And copy my files into the directory.
My pack covers more graphics than the patcher or the in-game texture selector can handle. Attempting to use them will produce errors or a half-missing pack.
This is a fantastic looking texture pack. I just installed it and I like what I see.
Two questions.
If, for some reason, I ever want to uninstall the pack, how can I do so?
What happens if an update adds new block types for which I don't have a texture?

Delete the version file in your bin folder. Speaking of installation of the pack, I'm right about to update in about 15-20 minutes or so with a bunch of new little goodies and fixes.

Oh, neat. Would I install the new thing in the same way as I installed the whole pack originally?
Also, you quoted a pre-edit version of my post. I added another question: what happens if the game adds new blocks and there's no texture for them yet in the texture pack?

If you've already installed the pack using 1.9 MCPatcher, you simply need to just drag my new files into your minecraft.jar. But yes, a fresh install is the exact same.
As soon as I'm made aware of new blocks added to the game, you can be sure I'll have textures made for them very quickly which I'll either release as as quick-fix or with a full update. As I'm nearing absolute completion with this pack to my satisfaction, I look forward to having an excuse to make new textures for new blocks.
Aaaaaaaand... Updated! Be sure to check out the latest patch notes to see what's been added!
Nightmares torment me. I can no longer resist the call of the infinite. Their blows rain heavy. My wraithbone cracks. My sight in this world dims. I return to slumber. My soulstone, please take it. Save...the others
After walking around and checking out stuff, I have to conclude that this texture pack is friggin' awesome. I miss the bright colours slightly but I love the darker, more natural feel, especially with the dirt.
My one complaint is one or two of the grass textures. There's a grass texture that's almost completely gray. That particular texture has covered the entire couple of mountains where I planned on building a city, and it now looks hideously ugly. I may end up removing the texture pack because of that one bad texture, which is a real shame when literally everything else looks so nice.
Do a clean install, following the instructions very carefully on the first post.

Fortunately my pack is compatible with all foliagecolor and grasscolor files out there. There are many alternates on the forums you can use that don't have as dramatic of a shift in grass tone for temperature. I may also make some alternates of my own later on in the week and upload 'em.
A lot of these issues can be avoided though if you just generate a new map. Most of these problems people are having with big grey areas has to do with the way the biomes assign themselves to older maps. Normally these large grey areas would be covered in a vast field of snow or sand.
UPDATE: Alternate biome color maps have been added.
I JUST installed the pack and put it into the textures folder, but I don't get to see it because Minecraft keeps crashing at the Mojand Productions screen Why is this?
