The texture pack now fully supports Minecraft 1.9, Pre-release 2. I'll update screens of terrain.png and items.png later, after I take care of some stuff I have to do today.
I'll also probably take that time to do one of my big response posts to deal with the backlog of posts requiring a response. Provided I'm not too worn out.
I have 2 questions:
1. Should that be, that cave spiders have no head?
2. What is a good program for editing the textures? Paint let dissapear the transparency.
Thanks.
Answer to both questions is in the very first post of this thread.

Misa, I encountered a problem with your texture pack. My HD Textures for the items are pixelated. I posted screenshot on Optifine and MC Patcher when I found it...and LB Photo Realism as I thought I had out of date textures. But after taking a look at the png files, I removed your texture pack and got the HD Textures again.
The screenshots I posted on the other threads, but let me know if you want to see them as I don't want to spam the forum.
EDIT: Was just checking the items.png and all the tools and weapons are not true HD. Everything else looks great so far. Can you look into this?
misa i have a solution for people who run out of memory and increases FPS forum link
it start your minecraft witch the chosen ram!
and and evrerything goes atomaticly and it has an installer whould you please set this by suport of yours ?
What you're doing is called "Spamming the Forum". It's against the rules and this should be in the "Released Mods" Section.

Life is a Learning Curve.... Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
I like the new cobble but I noticed that your neatherrack still uses the older cobble as the base. Could you please update it with the newer cobble style. I'm not a huge fan of the colouring of it and wondered if you would consider colouring a little more like this.
Keep up the good work. I've yet to see a texture pack come close in comparison to yours.
Thanks for the amazing work! I love all of it, except the wooden planks which are too dark and mushy for my taste, if they were just a tiny tiny tiny bit less dark, it would be more realistic I reckon.
Okay, it's a bit later than Saturday when I mentioned wanting to do one of these. But whatever! Big old response post, GO!

Brick joints on the stone bricks are way too dark, IMO. And on the brick stairs, they are rather ugly looking.
Could you please try to make a texture of them with a degree of white on the joints, rather than black?
Eh, it's how they look on default. I doubt ancient stone brick structures used mortar between the blocks. Typically that's reserved for the lighter, manufactured bricks. I'll see if I can get a decent looking alt made of this though.

I understand what you are saying and somewhat agree, but I've enjoyed my time playing the game with all the updates and whatnot. Maybe if I had spent more than $10 I'd care more.
Those of us in the modding community have put more into the game than $10.

Can you upload older versions of the Pack (Minecraft Beta 1.1_02)?
I don't find a download for this version.
I nedd this version, becaus I love the wood
If all you want is the wood, you can grab it from ALTERNATES.png, located in my pack. All old textures that have been replaced by newer versions typically end up there. (Unless the changes are really minor things.)

...Good idea to provide alternate terrain.png cause i like the organic nether tex so much, it makes the nether so trashy and almost living like the womb of the earth !
I did too, especially when I had it actually shiny and squirming with the GLSL shader mod. According to the vote I held most people didn't care for it though, so yeah, back to the old stone it went on the default pack.

...I cant play the 64x64 gets too slow, tho the 32x32 works fine, I wonder if you have it? anyway I think I can use gimp to convert all files, will it work?
Yeah, basically all you have to do is open every png in my pack, resize it to 50% resolution (25% surface area. :P). So just half the image size, save everything, keep the file locations and repackage for a 32x32 version.

Well Notch did say snow golems needed to be 'crafted' (by placing the needed blocks). And they probably figured this is one way of making pumpkins finally usable. Which I have no problem with, and which to me sounds like a good idea actually.
The problem is that the pumpkin is drawn from terrain.png. It should be drawn from the snowman's skin file, making it much more versatile. I can think of a way to make better use of this this while retaining the overall design of the recipe than just putting a lame jack-o-lantern face on a snowman...
Adorable pumpkin-helmeted snowman anyone?

When in creative mode (1.8.1) the item/block selection screen is just a white nothing. Is this because there is no texture for it?
Sounds like a texture memory issue. Try cleaning your installation again and re-running MCPatcher, but this time go into the options tab and increase the java heap size to a number higher than it is and lower than your current RAM amount in megabytes.

but, I was having problems with it causing too much lag, I was puzzled as it said 64x64 it should work on my machine (gfx card + cpu are not so good)..
after many tries I discovered that the file "misc/dial.png" was 128x128, as soon I scaled it to 64x64 your pack worked wonderfuly!
I figured this might be a problem for some people when I first updated the dial.png.. But it looked so good and had no impact on my computer so I decided to upload it and wait to see if it affected much, since I didn't have a lower-end machine to test on. I planned to wait until I got performance reports that I could link to this particular file then downsize it if I got anyway. So yeah, thanks to this confirmation, I've since done so.

Does your latest update work with 1.8.1?
The latest upload of my pack will always work with the latest official release, unless it hasn't yet been updated. Even with all the pre-releases I add support for, if anything is altered or removed by a future game patch, I will not remove it from the pack until the update is official. The Official version will always get priority over pre-releases.

Misa - I am noticing an issue with the textures on the new chests in 1.8.1. The texture for the lid of the chest overlaps the texture for the body of the chest and flickers back and forth (probably due to mip map settings) as I move. It is particularly noticeable on the ends of chests. I assume this is because chests are actually a little smaller now than they used to be.
This is called Z-Fighting. It's caused by a certain Swedish java coder trying to build animated 3D models instead of letting an actual artist do it. Basically the model parts overlap each other perfectly when closed and the lid and rim textures fight with each other to be the one on top. I've since corrected this with "...a big, ugly, black line..." added to the lid and rim.

Thanks for the tribute. Anyway I can help with nearly every technical issue known to my pack and high resolution texture packs in general if you go to my tech support chat linked in my signature and first post. Anyway, your issue was with not properly installing MCPatcher.

1. Should that be, that cave spiders have no head?
2. What is a good program for editing the textures? Paint let dissapear the transparency.
1. Yes. Really, they do have a head, I just made their mid-section on the model a head. So they have more the body appearance of orb-weaving species of spiders. Realistically ALL the spider models in general should only have two segments. Spiders do not have three segments in reality.
2.Paint.NET is free and will retain transparency. My personal editor of choice that I use for working on the pack is Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9.

I think I'm gonna need screenshots, I've no idea what you could be talking about. Also nothing in regards to anything related to a texture pack can possibly be considered "HD." My pack is a high resolution (HR) pack it is a 4x resolution pack, meaning every art file is 4 times the resolution (16x the actual size), making the default texture size inflate from 16x16 to 64x64. So if the items on items.png are not in 64x64 resolution each, there's something wrong with what you downloaded. I'd suggest ensuring you've grabbed the latest version of the pack (Misa 3.0.3) from this thread. Try mirror 3 or 4 if you've already done this.

The usage of the old cobble pattern is intentional. It adds variety to distinguish it from the normal cobblestone. As far as coloring goes, I feel the Nether is TOO dark on a properly color-calibrated monitor with anything less than the current value I have it set to. Anyway, you'll notice in the ALTERNATES.png file in my pack I included a Netherrack that's made with the new cobble pattern and colored to be somewhat close to vanilla, you might wanna try that one out, it's also much darker, though you can probably darken it further to your liking very easily.

I sorta disagree. I think their brightness best matches the rest of the look of my pack quite well. Though you can always lighten it in a graphics editor like Paint.NET. Or you can check out the alternates. Some of those are a bit lighter.
Well, that about does it for the questions. I'd like to thank the continued words of support from those who didn't have a question to be answered and just wanted to voice their praise. It's very encouraging. And to those who have been helping 'police' the thread by posting responses to questions you can answer, thanks a ton.
Hopefully the biome code changes are nearing an end and some research will be done to find out what corresponds to what. If anyone comes across a thread like this, or has the coding knowledge to perform such tests, please let me know about it. I'd love to be able to get my old, desaturated look back to some degree.

Oh, joy :biggrin.gif: A wall-o-answers!
Well, Misa, I agree that dark joints on the brick stone texture are okay... for a wall. But it seems that stairs using same texture cut in half. Which leave joints on the edge of steps... which is odd.
Last-minute idea - move whole texture a few pixels up? Gonna give it a try.
ADD:
It would've worked well, if not for incorrect texture placement (game bug for 1.8.1, don't know about 1.9).
Texture was shifted up by 2 pixels. Would rather prefer 1, but the bottom brick was 30 pixels high instead of 31-32, leaving the darkest joint on the very edge.
