Shh, don't tell anyone I only have one wolf done so far, and actually did the Mooshroom and the new grass for the mushroom biomes in 1.9 when I should've been working on the wolves. :tongue.gif:
LOL. I can wait. For now, my generically-looking pet wolf Hachi looks just fine. :tongue.gif:
And speaking of, I may or may not updated to B1.9 until full release. It's not that I hate the new "Mooshroom" (LOL) but because I'm kinda getting sick of stopping and waiting and updating for each update. For some reason, I can't enjoy a beta-stage game without thinking it's a complete game or something. It's okay for awhile, until an update which includes a major feature like chickens and steaks, then my self-induced illusion that it's not beta breaks. My OCD's to blame, I guess. For now, with B1.8, I'm fine with getting rid of the currently-useless experience bar and orbs, fixing stuff like bring back snow, and crap.
Misa, ma'am, great mod, but is there a texture pack to change to clouds to HD textures? Otherwise, I'll see if your old one for Premium Woods still works.

I'm not sure what you're even talking about. I've never released high resolution clouds or official support files for Premium Woods. I've made higher resolution clouds, but they were for testing only. There's no way they could've been leaked. The tests, of course, failed. There is currently no way to make high resolution clouds look good in the game without turning off fancy graphics, which in turn makes leaves ugly... At this point in time, HD clouds just aren't at all practical without a cloud mod or Mojang officially making a separate 'flat clouds', and a 'fast leaves' option.

...I am much into dark stuff, especially nether materials. Your soulsand is the best I ever saw. But I don't like your default netherrack : It looks like pink cobblestone to me. Fortunately I discovered you offer many alternates for this texture and I love the 2 last ones (that look organic). Still, I have a building made of Obsidian and Netherrack. I like your obsidian (second best after Bumpmaft one for me) but it is a bit too purple for me. I would have preferred it blacker and I would have preferred the netherrack darker too (more in the deep red than in the pink).
From what I have observed, I guess it is because you are trying to stay as close as possible from the dominant colour of notch textures ?
My last comment would be about iron/gold/diamond/lapis lazuli blocks. I am much into making small structures in these materials, or statues. And for a reason I don't get at all, most artists or pack designers draw them with a frame or with a kind of pattern. This is fine if you use only 1 block as decoration, or maybe a line of block in a wall but that doesn't fit at all for a statue or a full building. I was very happy to see that you offer in the alternate.png plain and frameless textures for iron and diamond (3 for diamonds). The gold one that is cut in 4 has enough regularity in the colour to be ok for statues. But I would love an alternate texture like this for Lapis Lazuli. I don't like your actual default texture for Lapis Lazuli. I prefer the alternate one but it is still heavily framed. I wonder if you would make an alternate texture for lapis lazuli, without this kind of frame or pattern ? (and maybe for gold too ?) (It is a kind of official request. Maybe you have still the original texture of your alternate one before you draw the frame on it ?)...
The current default netherrack and lapis lazuli were chosen by a vote I held here awhile back. Personally I had little preference on the Netherrack, I liked both the intestinal look (Especially back when they squirmed on my shaders pack for the GLSL shader mod I no longer support at the moment.) But apparently for the normal pack, most people didn't care for it and preferred the more stony look. When it came to lapis lazuli, I feel the tile-looking ones were vastly superior to the old framed solid one, and fortunately for me most of the voters agreed with me on that. So that's why the current defaults are what they are. And yeah, you can always go back with alts.
Also I'm kinda suspect of your monitor's brightness/contrast/gamma settings a bit. They might be a bit high if Netherrack looks like pink stones and my alternate obsidian is too purple. Netherrack is a dark, de-saturated red on my pan tone-calibrated monitors. And the simple, alt obsidian tile I have is almost purely black-looking. I'd look into adjusting those.
About the lapis and gold alt request, I unfortunately don't have the unframed versions lying around. Many of these textures I edit on their own, then just copy and paste onto my terrain.png. Only up until recently did I start saving the working source files as their own files for later tweaking, and typically only on the more complicated textures. I'll still see what I can do about making a frameless lapis and line-less gold block if I have time before the next update I release sometime this week.

I'm on a Mac and have patched this texture pack but all the flowers, grass, and torches have lines outlining the cube they represent. plus the trees have random blocks of brown leaves in them. they are nothing like the the screenshots I have seen of the texture pack. Please help.
This seems to be an issue that's cropped up due to the latest MCPatcher. I'd actually suggest using version 2.1.0_02 until this is fixed. You can also try going into your video card's settings and messing with anti-aliasing and anisotropic-filtering. Disabling the latter seems to fix the problem for many users at the moment. It's not a perfect fix, but yeah, better than nothing. As far as the tree leaves go, read my last big response post. This was already addressed.

Sooooo... this only works on the 2nd update of the pre release of 1.8, or can I use it now?
Very, very seldom does my uploaded pack not work with the most current versions of the game. And by seldom I mean maybe a few hours once every month or two. Looking at the title tags helps too. [1.8.1] Means it works with 1.8.1. I'm slow to update the title tags once in awhile, but usually that's only because the pack still works and the tag is unimportant as no actual update to my pack is required. So yeah, unless you see me make a recent post here saying, "I'm working on an update, please stand by," (or words to that effect) The pack is working perfectly with the very latest release of the game.

For some reason, I can't enjoy a beta-stage game without thinking it's a complete game or something.
For likely similar reasons, I'm not even playing 1.8 much. Kinda seems pointless to start a new project in-game if the terrain generation isn't finalized.
I know you're busy, so my statement above is one of excitement not anguish.
Thanks for the excellent pack!

Im getting the same lines on the blocks im on a mac too
Kinda odd to use 'finally' though. The pack's been updated since before 1.8 went live (Last Thursday). I'm very fast with my updates. It's never even taken a day for me to update. This time I was ahead of update schedule by like 5 days or so.

That's also what I'm thinking. The only problems I see with the terrain generation are the two missing snowy biomes. A B1.8 mod that would re-add snow back to the game would be just fine for me, but I'll still see. I'm currently looking at B1.9's progress right now, hoping there's some REALLY good new feature in there that would convince me otherwise. Other than the Nether updates, of course.
as always - best pack ever, but now i got a nasty problem - on 1.8.1 with texture pack (installed with latest MCP) i got "out of memory" crashes very often, like every 2-15 minutes (playing SMP), so it's totally unplayable
i have 6gb ram, java -xmx and -xms set to 1gb (and tested with 512mb, 2gb, 4gb), but nothing... on 1.7.3. with texture pack it's never happend
help me please, i can't play without Misa's pack :smile.gif:
and sorry for my bad english
Hmmm, she's the first female to make an ENTIRE texture pack, (terrain, armors, items, everything, etc). Jeezus guys, quit slacking off, you just got your a***es whipped by a girl, ouch.
Lolz, laterz.
i have got to agree. out of all of the "realistic" packs i have seen this is the best

If you already downloaded the pack check the contents of the folder. There is a text file called 'Legal' which discusses this very topic.
