Misa Can You Make This Wooden Planks Off Version 1.2_02? Please :biggrin.gif:
EDIT: In Version 1.8 :biggrin.gif:
Misa provides an alternates.png file in the zip. You can copy-paste the old textures in your terrain.png, using Photoshop, Paint.net, GIMP or something else.
I started playing Minecraft in 1.3_01.
I first used texture packs in 1.3_01.
What was my first texture pack?
Misa's realistic texture pack.
I've seen changes and I am still committed to this texture pack.
:smile.gif:
Keep up the good work Misa!
Misa, can you please make a 32x version? My friends loves your texture pack, but can run only 32x or 16x. Can you? :smile.gif:
2 Words TEXTURE PATCHER! Download and use :biggrin.gif: And use Launcher also or it won't run.

In other words LOVE The Endermen texture you deserve some:
Probably a good thing you can go with the blocks now anyway, I don't imagine many castles in reality were made using a small-stone cobblestone anyway. :tongue.gif: That'd probably make it incredibly vulnerable to siege. Cobblestone is definitely better used for streets, house foundations, and small walls.
Well I hardly think notions of realism in fortification apply here, but see, I liked the old cobble exactly because it didn't look a lot like cobblestone. The new one is simply perfect for streets and lining foundations and whatnot. The old one was more universal in usage, looked somewhat more natural and less uniform (and busy, as someone else put it), and could be used for lots more things without looking weird. Looked more like those decorative stone walls you'd get in Alpine chalets or something. I'm not really trying to convince you to return it or anything, just saying that I appreciate that version, too. Same for the Netherrack.
It's just a shame we can't have both. I'd definitely prefer the new cobble for some things.
I agree 100%. I've been a fan of mixing cobble & stone in walls and such mostly due to the way cobble used to look. But it tiles better now and looks better for floors. Bah! If only we could have both. Though, once we can make stone brick I'll probably use that where I used to use cobble in structures.

How come the Iron Bars weren't made in the same style as the default skin. I was a little disappointed when I saw this and would like it very much if you could maybe make an alternate for it to keep it a little more similar to the original. Keep up the awesome work though.
Because the vanilla iron bars are horribly designed. They don't even tile well on the edges at all. They're generally unrealistic in the sense that no one would design common-use iron bars like that. Looks more like a labyrinth of plumbing. I'll think about making an alt of it, but I've no intention of making the default ones in my pack look anything like that mess.

Also, you've mentioned that you've kept a personal world (legit, I assume) since Indev. Could you by any chance put that up for download?
Actually that was a bit of a typo, I meant infdev. And yeah it's all legit. Thing is, it's over 100MB With my connection I have issues just getting the pack uploaded to three mirrors. Also I kinda like having it as my own personal world. There's a lot of unfinished projects I'd feel kinda embarassed to share, and a lot of the structures, I don't feel make as good of a use of building resources as I could now. (due to lack of blocks to work with back then) So yeah, I probably won't be releasing it.

Misa Can You Make This Wooden Planks Off Version 1.2_02? Please :D...
...(Recieved a valid response)... ...EDIT: Does Not Work
Yes, it totally does work. You need to extract terrain.png and ALTERNATES.png. Open both in a graphics editor that supports transparency. Microsoft Paint will not work. (Grab a free program like PAINT.NET if Paint is all you have.) Using a select tool, select the tile you want from ALTERNATES.PNG, copy it, and paste it over the wood in terrain.png. Save terrain.png and place it back in misa301zip.

Did you edit the main menu background in 1.8?
If by that you mean the panorama thing, yes. Read the Patch notes. I always state all the changes made to the pack in there.

...But you have forgot the light_normal.png, without it you only have white light and not the orange torch/lava and blue moon colours, PLS!!!!! make one, i cant live without it xD, Minecraft just looks more awesome with it.
No, I didn't forget it, I simply did not include it for one very good reason: It doesn't work at all in the game. Believe me, I wanted to tackle this, but the file simply does nothing. It would seem the light is hardcoded and only based on this color palette.

Misa, can you please make a 32x version?
No. I think the only reason some of the higher resolution packs out there offer 32x32 versions is just so they can make money by having more adfly links out. Personally I don't think of my texture pack as a business. I use my own pack and it was designed primarily to improve the look of Minecraft for myself and as a general fun hobby for me. As it is, I don't think my texture pack looks good at anything above or below 64x64, so officially I have no intentions of releasing anything but 64x64. However if you absolutely must have a lower resolution version there's an easy but time-consuming way of making it yourself.
-Extract the entire contents of my texture pack's zip into a folder.
-Open each and every png file in there with a graphics editor that supports transparency.
-Shrink all the images by 50%. (Half the resolution, a quarter of the original size.)
-Save all the images.
-Repackage all the image files (retaining the folders and file locations.) as a zip file.
And there you have a 32x32 version of my texture pack. It's easy work that requires absolutely no art skill whatsoever, but it might be tedious and take some time. As always you still NEED to use MCPatcher 2.1.0_02 or higher.
Also I wanted to thank everyone for the support. All the support and especially criticism greatly helps when I'm working on improving the pack for future updates. I really hope that Tuesday's(?) update adds some new stuff to work on. I'd especially like to play with that light_normal.png... I really hope it's working in the official update. Also with the official update will come the period where other mods I support will be updating, so especially if you're a randomobs user, stay tuned. I plan to be updating to support that.
heyyy. well, I recently got pre-release 1.8, and for some reason, your foilagecolor.png is acting up. Using your texture pack, I spawned in a 1.7.3 world, and in 1.8, all of a sudden they're all autumn tree leaves. Now this isn't much of a prob, but when comparing vs the vanilla texture pack, some trees on your pack have random patches of red in them that look really out of place. Vanilla has no such problem. I wanted to fix it on my own, but i'm not sure if removing those files would result in a problem with your pack. Thanks, bye.
Ha i used this texture pack in 1.6... it was great but i got tired of it but now i love it, i don't know why i was tired of it, i think its cause i used, ONLY wood back than i had no taste in design xD
awwww.. thats just bad! No one should make money of YOUR pack! I think yo're amazing sadly i don't have a That good comp! but i found one that can handle it! Ill be happy to use adfly if it is to support u! u deserve it!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
This was supposed to be a witty signature, but then it got lost somewhere.
I really like the new update. Best iron bars ever, I love the hunger icons too and the new iron/chain armor.
However, two things:
- The armor icon isn't flipped for the new armor bar position in 1.8. I know it's easy to flip it myself, but more and more people are playing the 1.8 pre-release.
- The difference between the yellow and yellow-green ping icon (in the server/player list) is very small... you should make the yellow-green icon more green. :smile.gif:
The armor icon actually isn't that easy of a fix. If I flip it, the light source will not match the one used on the health and hunger. I've gotta remember the exact same process I used before to get it looking like that when flipped again. Still, I'll see what I can do.
That second issue I'd chalk up to being poor monitor color calibration. On the three monitors I tested it on, (Two high-end CRT's one average-quality LCD.) it's actually slightly harder to distinguish the yellow green from green. The yellow stands out on its own quite a bit. Though green, yellow-green, and yellow are all very easy to distinguish at a glance on my end. I'll add a tiny bit more red to the yellow as more of a compromise between the two as I feel the yellow green is perfect on my end.

Edit: fall colors i take it. surprised me at first, but they look nice.
Also, I've been using the pack since like...1.5 or something...And I just love it. Thank you for keeping it up-to-date and looking great, Misa!
