Uh...so I downloaded it and everything works apart from the fact that the mobs textures are not different like in the screenshots. Each mob {except from the horses of course} has the same texture. How do I change it so that they have varying textures, like in the screenshots? Thank you.
You need to run MCPatcher and enable random mobs for that feature to work.
Hi Misa. Tough times it seems. I recently moved across country for the third time in my life as well, I know the pains and expenses involved. In fact, it's been a year and I'm still recouping.
Hopefully things will get better for you after this bump in life, and wow. I thought I was learning about computers and then I see your last post. To put it lightly, I am in the presence of something of a master of the trade. As such I'm not entirely sure if my intent of sharing Logical Increments is actually any help, but I can still hope.
I respect your reasons for feeling guilty Misa, but I don't agree. You have contributed something great that people are (obviously) still loving and getting a lot of use out of. There's a value to that and I would encourage people to continue to contribute as they feel inclined to. Aside from the straight up consumer aspect of it, there's the human "someone is in extra need and people who want to help, should" thing. But yes, the donations should be given without an agenda or expectation. They can consider it the value of what they've already received or "good will", and not a carrot.
I am a long time user of your pack Misa and I appreciate all the work that you put into it and I give you many well wishes and look forward to the day where I can once again revel in your art.
No guilt or any such necessary Misa. You've already given the community so much.
If I may make a suggestion -- to link pscof42's patch somewhere in the OP, with an indication that it has compatible textures for the ones you are missing. I mention it only as a means to take the pressure off, so you don't feel like we're all begging you to continue. Because in truth, we aren't. We'd all love to see more of your work, but we realize that real life comes first.
I had a fair idea what was going on when I donated. It was more of a show of appreciation/the only way I had of giving back. That, plus I like to take opportunities to let those I appreciate know that they're appreciated. I can't think why anyone would come back to modding/texturing/whatever it is that they enjoy doing for others if they thought no one else gave a damn or even noticed but, more than that, I've been "there" myself.
Like many here, I've tried countless texture packs and none of them compare, so I always come back to yours. Your work is simply brilliant and contributes so much to my enjoyment of Minecraft that I cannot play without it.
Sorry to hear things are tough IRL for you. Perhaps it has already been suggested, but you could try a crowdfunding campaign to get back on your feet. Use a site like Kickstarter or GoFundMe (I suggest the latter) and ask for support in this thread. No need for any promise/obligation to work on the texture pack, or any serious rewards (just a thank-you is fine).
I think you'd be surprised how many here would be willing to donate to such a campaign. I certainly would.
I would most certainly be willing to donate if it helps any once I'm outside of my own financial situation. You would be glad to know that building a decent rig is more affordable than it's been in the past are far more efficient (by past I'm talking literally over the past 2 years.)
Get your self back on your feet and I'm sure plenty will be willing to raise some money for you to setup a new PC, if you salvage what you can such as your harddrives, case, and so on you'll save a lot of money.
I'm glad to see you posting again, Misa. I'm sorry your life has fallen on such tough times. You shouldn't feel guilty about the donations you receive, however, you've given so much to the Minecraft community throughout the years. Please know, we'll always be here if you ever need anything!
I followed the directions, got the pack in my game, but when I spawned pigs, they were all the same texture (And yes, I made sure random textures was selected). I opened MCpatcher again to investigate, and now I'm logged out of my account (I'm in the process of resetting my password). Help please!
Not much of anything I'd feel comfortable publicly mentioning here. I'm still essentially stuck much in the same situation I was last time I posted, and it looks like the second move will be delayed to sometime around September/October. Kinda just getting by as best I can right now.
If you want more to go off of than that or just want to chat about whatever, I'm not hard to get in touch with privately.
Good to see you back Misa! Ive been using your texture pack for years and loved every second of it. I cant bring myself to use any others-yours is just too perfect! I hope everything works out in your life and that you are well and happy.
Nice you see you are still here Misa, sucks that life is being such a pain to you. I hope you make it through your second move ok, it must be painful having to think about your money constantly, I hope you can get those problems sorted out. No rush, take the time you need.
I didn't lose all the data. I lost the hard drive the data was on.
And no I couldn't just download my own texture pack and edit that. Many textures in the pack require layered resource files. The biggest example that comes to mind (because people were always asking me to release it) is the GUI background texture. Anytime Mojang adds stuff to the game that requires a new GUI texture, I need to take that base texture and use a specific process to adapt it to the new GUI window shape. It would be possible to somewhat reverse-engineer some of these files, but not all and it'd be a ton of work just to get started.
My graphics editor also has custom brushes and scripts I've created that are used for very specific tasks I perform while creating textures, and in order to maintain consistency in my designs, I pretty much need the tools I used for effects on older textures to match up with the effects I apply to newer ones. Otherwise it becomes more of an attempt to forge my old style as close as possible to the original. This is doable, but as with the previous example, it's a ton of work.

If your wonderfull texture will actualisied, we will be happy, but we can life well with actual solution.

Pls read why that is not possible right now (over the last several pages)

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out~
