Thank you so much for making this texture pack, my computer is too shitty to run anything higher than 64x64 without getting a horrible FPS. This is perfect, and it is absolutely beautiful! It's like a whole new game now.
in the paintings is it me or is 1 of the paintings w/ people having sex?
It's just you.

I've had to go into your texture pack and lighten it up just a small bit. The saturation is perfect, but the textures are just a bit too dark. I've checked this on multiple computers, and it does help to see better when the contrast of the textures is lightened up.
The darkness is somewhat intentional. That's partly why I included the night vision-enhancing pumpkins. I like my nights and caves really dark and scary.

ey Misa we all know you don't like to make textures for mods that are evasive but if this mod ever gets of the ground you may want to take a look at doing it.
It's an interesting mod, but it definitely looks like it'd break saves if implemented. It doesn't really look like anything that I'd have to provide art for though for it to support my pack. I'm sure lots of other people would find making high res textures for it very easy to pull off.

Charlotte's web FTW!!!
lol, nice work, how did u make the pics smaller than a pixel to make it so clear?
I wasn't even aware I made any sort of reference to Charlotte's Web! And I assume you're asking how I get such a smooth look at the resolution I work at. Basically I start with higher resolution samples that may not all be high res themselves, and then shrink them using several blending methods for the final product.

I think I may have gotten a virus from one of the downloads I had today. Possibly from minecolony or from this one. Maybe even the mod helper.
I doubt it. If you do have one it's likely from another source.

FYI: I didn't have to use whatever those files were for the MrMMods. I just did it normally and it worked fine
They're only for those who want the colors on their mini-map to match my texture pack, instead of having the ugly fluorescent colors from the default map clashing with everything.
Okay, to everyone having technical issues: I cannot stress enough that you need to read the installation instructions. If you're still having trouble then you can head over to my tinychat and someone there should be able to help you with the installation. And to those with performance issues, I don't know what else to tell you but that it's your computer. The people with these issues seem to be on either really old machines or machines that just use onboard video. And if you do have a modern gaming machine, you probably need to decrease your bloatware usage or ensure you have no viruses or spyware slowing things down. In all situations though it doesn't hurt to update your java as well.
I like this texture pack, but the only thing I don't like is the grass. It looks horrible. Can you please make it better?

I seem to have a problem. Since I installed this I cannot play multiplayer. Using MCPatcher when I attempt to run multiplayer gives me this message: "Player Is Null".
when i try this on my macbook it crashes but when i shrinked it down to a 32 by 32 it workd but looks really bad cause it gets streched. anyonne help me?
Great Texture Pack! Though strangely enough, I am keeping 30 fps constantly but when I open the inventory screen it drops all the way down to 3-5 fps. Any suggestions on why this might be happening?

This tecture pack is great, however, it lags like a *****. I will literally enter a server, my framerate will be fine for about 10 seconds then everything goes to ****. The only time my framrate returns to normal is when I press t to open chat... wtf...
It would only require creating a monochrome copy of terrain.png with different levels of transparency, more transparent in areas that are "deeper" on your original terrain.png.
Kinda like this:
It ends up making surfaces look less flat and more awesome =D like this guy's cobblestone:
I LOVE your texture pack, and I think it would look pretty awesome with parallax occlusion! I don't know how hard this is to do, or what it involves, but if it sounds interesting to you, I think it would make this texture pack rock even more =P
Is it just me, or is the default Wildgrass grass now overriding the Misa grass, since you can't just refuse to copy over terrain.png (since it uses an installer now)?
This texture pack is great and doesn't lg at all, but for some reason, the Beta 1.2 blocks arent added. Did I get th wrong one? It was the very first link on the page :sad.gif:
EDIT: nvm, I picked the wrong pack, and not the zip from 1.7.2

The new WildGrass 8.5.2 doesn't use the terrain.png anymore and thus overrides Misa's textures.
To fix this I made a quick patch, cutting the images of Misa's grass and lillies out of the terrain.png.

Okay, really... What do you expect me to do with this? From my point of view it looks fine. Please provide valid criticism: convince me why it looks horrible and possible solutions to this problem. You can't just say "Grass looks horrible. Fix it." and expect anyone to know what about it needs to be fixed.

Is there a way to use my skin I had beforehand (from the skindex)?
Just sign into the game before you play it. Skindex stuff always overrides the default man texture if you're signed onto minecraft.net.

How do you change it to the 64X64?
What? Not sure what you're asking here.

I honestly don't know. This sounds like an issue with MCPatcher though. Please go to xau's thread and post info on the issue there.

Read the installation instructions. You must install my pack with MCPatcher. You may need to dig around the forums and Google for adapting these to a Mac platform.

i installed the texture pack, but ingame aren't any HUD... no inventory, no menu etc
why i can't see this things?
it's like a hardcore-game in call of duty
Ensure you followed the installation instructions. I've updated them so that hopefully they're now easier to understand. Be sure to start by cleaning your installation.

Likely due to poor hardware. May need a better video card, or may just need to update your java platform.

...I'm curious if you have any plans to create a terrain_nh.png image to work with daxnitro's GLSL shaders mod...
I've been following this thread for some time now, yeah. And I have begun some tests on a 256x256 version of my pack with full normals and height maps. So far though without a lighting engine and on 64x64 I'm not too happy with the effect provided.
I also can't seem to combine multiple shaders with parallax mapping on my computer which just makes it hard to test. If I can't get it looking nice on my end, it probably won't be released. But yeah, this will be more than just creating a terrain_nh.png should I decide to support it. I'm gonna wait and follow it a bit longer to see how it's working when a lot of the kinks are ironed out on the shader end.
Also redoing my pack in 256x256 will likely take a long-ass time as I've lost most of the initial-resolution samples I used in my pack. So don't expect anything anytime soon, just know I'm fully aware of this mod and would like to support it eventually.

Man, I wish he'd stop trying to make his mod installation dummy-proof. :/ Getting hard to keep up with him, and I REALLY don't feel like dealing with Modloader... I may have to drop official support for this as much as I'd hate to. I'm gonna post over there with my feedback on it and hope that helps resolve this...
Also thanks senjin for the (hopefully temporary) fix.

No problem Misa. I haven't done anything with MineCraft patches before and wasn't sure how you'd take it if someone else made a 'fix', since it's your work and all. I'm glad you approve.
Seems to me this move from terrain.png to separate png's is a bit bothersome for your patch though. Since your texture overhaul has to be installed first, then the wildgrass, and then presumably your patch again to fix what WildGrass overwrote. Seems to me it'll be a bit of a bother. Perhaps it'll be a good move to make it 2 different patches for you. One HD overhaul and one HD WildGrass overhaul patch. (If the WildGrass is going to stay this way that is)
Also thanks for the great work on your HD patch. I've been running it since a few days after I discovered MineCraft, a couple of weeks ago and love the more realistic look it gets. Good job! I do miss the square sun and moon a little bit though >.< (Just a tiny little bit)
After a while of using this pack, I'm finally deciding to post in this thread. Why? Simply because this pack is the best one I have ever used, bar none. I have issues with maybe five of the textures, none of which are major, and absolutely love most of the rest (especially now that you've changed lightstone). Thank you for making it; keep up the excellent work.
It's just you.
