I can only use mediafire for some reason. and I understand what you mean on the unstable internet, I've got the same problem over here.
Okay. I'll try to get a mirror up on mediafire from now on. I'll PM you when the current version is mirrored.
EDIT: MediaFire mirrors added to release post. PM sent.

Uhh, are you kidding me with this "new" release of a 32x32 version? For one, I've had one and have been using it since Halloween.
Yes, a few people have updated the original pack. But most of them seem to have textures from other packs swapped in. On top of that, people in this thread requested that I release an updated 32x32 pack. I already stated this before. Look near the end of the page before this one.
By the way... Last time I checked, I wasn't kidding anyone.

Two, the new halloween textures you added are just the vanilla ones. In fact, they're still 16x16, just upscaled by 4.
Once again, I already stated this before. I am temporarily using the default textures until I can make some proper replacements. This is right there in black and white in the release post. Next time, try reading the first post instead of instantly hitting 'Reply' as soon as the page loads.

Three, someone else already even did that! In fact, it's in this thread on the first page:
So? What if that was just a one-shot deal and he doesn't update it when new blocks are added in the future? I will.

There are two main differences between the one you released and the one above. 1. Yours has an ugly greenish hue on all the textures
Check your gamma settings, they will be in your video card's control panel. I did not modify the hue or saturation of the originals in any way. All I did was add the new textures and save the file. On my systems they look exactly the same as doku's original release. If you're confusing this with the color shifts from the new biomes, well, that's just the way the game is now. Always remember that You != Everyone Else, and just because it doesn't look right on YOUR system, doesn't mean it isn't right. You might be saying "Heed your own words," but I have been using these packs on more than one system across Windows, Mac, and Linux. They look perfect on every system I've tried them on.

2. Your unsaturated textures are slightly darker, which may have been caused by the ugly greenish hue you added.
Read my last answer. I did not modify the hue or saturation of the originals in any way. Check your gamma settings.
Thanks Sine, I've been using many updated variations of Doku's RPG Texture Pack but your one is the only one that has kept with the default tools skins (i.e the pickaxe). I've been trying to find one like this because I *disliked* the custom ones other people have added and didn't really know how to change it back to default. Thanks for the texture pack, hope the future updates keep the same skin!
Hmm... you sure that the pack installed correctly for you? I do include custom items (read: tools) in these releases, they're the ones vamediah made to match doku's texture set.
In any case, if any of you do want to use the default Minecraft items, you can remove them from the pack by extracting it and removing the file '/gui/items.png' then re-zipping the pack.

I'm talking about the one quoted above and the one you released. Look at the texture.png files side-by-side and you'll see that yours has a great deal more green. Same thing when you compare it to Doku's original.
I think this texture pack is great and im happy that somone is putting effort in updating it aswell. ^^
But what about the brick texture?
Any news on it? Doesnt seem to be intergrated in the combined sprite sheet thats posted here. :ohmy.gif:
Thanks for the support! I also love doku's textures and I think it's worth keeping them current.
For your question... combined sprite sheet? Are you talking about terrain.png's that have been posted in this thread? My releases only come in .zip files, any .png's that have been posted in this thread are not my releases. As far as the brick texture, I assume you're talking about the clay bricks? That texture is present in both versions of the set.

I'm telling you man, there is no difference in color. Whatever difference you're seeing is only relevant to your system. I have comparison screenshots to prove it, click them for a larger screenshot:
16x16 comparison. Mine is on the left, doku's original is on the right.
32x32 comparison. Mine is on the left, doku's original is on the right.
The doku original I used for the comparison came straight out of his v1.2 archive.
Are you honestly telling me you cannot see the difference? Sure, it's extremely subtle, but definitely there.
There is no difference. There never was. I'd have to modify the hue of the .png for there to be a difference, and I never did that. Your eyes are playing tricks on you or something.
Do the color-picker test. Open both of them up in a good image editing program like Photoshop. Then, use the color-picker to select the brown portion. The color codes Photoshop spits out will be identical, meaning they are identical.
Yay, v0.2! :biggrin.gif:
As for the hue, i see no difference either.
I spoke of combined spritecheets though i meant to say terrain.png u guessed correct. :smile.gif:
I tried the new version aswell but my texture still looks like this:
Seems like its 50% correct but i suppose that i have to do something with the HD texture pack thingy..
Any suggestions?
Edit: image code
Ahh, I see what you're saying now. That's not a problem with the pack, it's a problem with the game. To properly install 32x32+ texture packs, you must use the HD Texture Patcher, otherwise you will get those glitched textures. It can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46173
Alright, thanks alot! ^^
Gonna try it. Maybe you should include a link or the name of the thread in the readme file for the pack aswell? :wink.gif:
The readme for the 32x32 version does state the need for the texture patcher :biggrin.gif:
You can install the 16x16 version without using the patcher. Just an FYI. The water won't be correct unless you do install it with the patcher, though.
Can you please redo the pumpkins and jack o lanterns because it doesn't really go with the theme or my files got corrupted but they have a pic of lava flowing on one side for me but otherwise you/Duko are amazing at designing
CONGRATULATIONS YOUV'E WON YOURSELF AN INTERNET!!!!!!
Edit: sorry i forgot to read all of the posts i probably forgot the patcher

I created this account just to thank you for your work. I love doku's RPG, but I also love 16p textures, so now I love you instead. I wish there were more folks doing great 16p work.

Hahah, thank you! I also wish there were more great 16x16 packs out there.

SineDeviance, you know anything about the mysterious glow that shows up sometimes when running in maximized window?
Im not entirely sure it has anything to do with the texture pack, might be related to the HD patch or just the game itself. Looks like this:
Kinda low quality on the picture but there's nothing more then a small glow next to the center dot thats stuck at that exact position no matter where you are or what hangle your camera has.
As for the texture pack itself, I personally don't like the gravel very much, preferred to have it with grey as the main color, maybe with some brown in it but not as much as it is now (too much contrast to both dirt and cobblestone/solid stone).
Might do some tweaking myself to various blocks later but the texture i love the most in this pack must be a draw between the torches and the railroad parts. ^^
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the support!
As for the strange white dot... are you using the 16x16 set or the 32x32 set? I haven't seen that before but I'm betting it's an alignment issue in one of the .png's. Once I know which set you're using I'll fire that one up and take a look.
Could be texture corruption of some kind. Update your GPU drivers?
Naah, updated them last week and the latest version was from june at that time. But it can be all sorts of reasons to this i belive. Screen resolution, windows aero, graphic card, operative system, 64bit/32bit etc. (might actually be windows aero since it seems to be fine if im running in fullscreen instead of maximized.)
I can always try to update about everything that can affect graphics but ill try that some other day, its such a small problem anyway. ^^
Hmm, strange. Just for reference, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and using Aero. I've never seen that issue before.
But... it is a small issue, like you said :biggrin.gif:
Actually, I get that dot next to the crosshair too at times. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't. I don't think it has to do with the texture pack.
Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but the Netherrack is showing up as bright blue water blocks for me. I'm not sure if it's something that went wrong on my part or yours.

v0.2 -- 12.15.10
This update adds the item pack to the 32x32 release. I accidentally left them out in v0.1.
