i personnally for some reason use the triangle textures on my mac for some reason, pics of them with the triangle, Also i am not a big fan of the new leaves.
That's a shame.... cause I like em =D
Triangle textures?
I am asking for a picture with the new biome change with your grass :smile.gif:.
I was also wondering how a singular box would look like.
Edit: reread my first post, im such a idiot. I meant to say that i cannot use any biome textures because of my mac glitching up when compiling back into java.

oh ok.
Well the box looks the same except the lock is in the center.. and I'll try and get a picture of my biome areas. There should be a few pics of snow and jungle already around this thread.
except that all the land types are the same colour (or close enough). Above ground it looks great but below ground I can't tell stone from dirt from sand. Is it possible to get different colours happening with the different types, rather than having them all the colour of dried bird sh*t?

I can tell the difference easily in pitch black... Either your area lighting is bad for playing or your monitor isn't correctly calibrated...
I assure you my monitor is pretty close to true colour as I've been doing web development for a while.
You have done something to your game to make it darker then normal.
That is not the standard lighting system.
And I can clearly see what types some of those blocks are.
EDIT: and there are torches for a reason...
No one else has had a problem, but then no one else has tried mining in pitch black without a light source..
It only takes one I guess =/
You're right, I did have the Ambient Occlusion shader installed. Reverting back and reinstalling your texture produces this, which I think might be slightly worse...
Yes I could use more torches, but it doesn't solve the problem that everything is a similar shade of whitish.
Please don't mistake this for a complete criticism. I love the iron and gold, the doors, the new chests. My only issue is the similarity of colours between stone, dirt and sand.
And I doubt I'm the first to mine in pitch black. Have you seen Robin and Emily's Adventures in Minecraft?

Hmmmm I might go check it out.
I'll probably be releasing a regular dirt coloured version in the future which will produced a bigger contrast between materials.
I'll see if I can touch up some of the colours.

EDIT: What textures did you want to be different?
Texture is fine, just the colouring is too similar between stone, dirt and sand. But if it's already planned then I can wait. I just wanted to mention it.

EDIT: It probably looks crap because I haven't tested it yet... and it normally takes me a few goes before I get it right.
Well here is my started alternate colour scheme I've only done dirt so far.
Great. Been trying to edit lock myself and realized that it is so small that it is impossible to add intricate details :/ And i can't draw pixel by pixel either.
lol good work. I have actually never used photo-shop I should really get it one day.
I've just been using GIMP for years.
I might change the lids of my chests because they are a bit dark and I don't want to much dark textures.
That's a shame.... cause I like em =D

Boxes Re-Revised!
Your... Putting them in the right place?
My grass matches everything else in the texture pack.
I don't understand your first post.. is there a problem?

Looks very nice. Though lock could've been slightly more elaborate. Some curved texture or ornament, perhaps?
I'll see what I can do

Took me forever =/
