Been trying to add some colour grading or contrast now that MC has AF so textures don't look terrible at a distance, but I tell you what it's friggen hard deciding whether changes I make are better or worse than before.
Wish had a CRT.
What would you guys like to see more of overall style wise?
Also side note I've been working on some new items! Yay!
I was enjoying the sunset listening to the sound of waves rolling in and the birdsong dying down.
As crickets started chirping and other dwellers of the night could be heard I heeded into my cave.
In the peace and quiet secure behind my trusty front door only the deep dull howl of hidden depths could be heard and the dripping of the seeping earth above me..
This was my first texture pack, and I can tell you that every other texture pack I used after I updated to 1.3.2 does not compare at all. I can not wait until this is updated.
Update!
-Most GUIs
-Some items
-New doors
-Changed biomes a bit
-Fixed swamp colours
-Fixed mossy cobble
-Fixed water/ice (fubared it last update)
-Hud
-Ores
-Trapdoors
-Other Stuff I may have forgotten!
Please let me know if there are an errant pixels/glitches. or missing textures.
Also if you want you can request what textures you want me to do next.
Enjoy!
EDIT: Reupload
-More changes to biomes.
-Jungle wood/logs better contrast to other wood.
-Swamp water.
-Hmmmmmm
my stone texture is still bugged theres like some things in it, don't know how to describe
is that due to the texture pack or do i need to update/change somthing?
You will need optifine or mcpatcher(or something) to run any texture packs above 64x (I think).
There is a link to optifine in the first post.
It has the added benefit of improving minecraft performance as well as adding some much needed graphics settings like AA and AF.
Tons of other settings for various stuff too.
Oh, I can't believe it, the arid pack is alive again! Great thing, Aza. And the swamps looks good now!
I enjoy the new GUI and I like the new items. Very stylish (except the bottles, looks a little bit like light bulbs).
I use this pack since I started with Minecraft. So, Aza, thank you very much for your work.
One thing: I have downloaded the alternate stuff pack but when I try to open this pack I get an error message. Possibly the pack is damaged?
Thanks a lot.
And the alternate stuff isn't exactly a texture pack. It's just a zip full of different terrain.pngs I found and a few made up images with extra textures on them.
It's mostly for people who wanted a specific old texture I've replaced.
But it doesn't contain all my work from the past =/
I've changed PC/OS a few times since I started and I'm not good at keeping track of stuff.
You know I've been using this pack off and on since Beta 1.2_01. Really since I first started with Minecraft. I've tried a lot of alternatives and though I like Isabella (for example) nothing else seems to be quite as good. I'm hoping eventually this pack will be completed since it's been great since the beginning.
When i put the folder in the textures folder in my mine craft folder, nothing shows up on the texture packs list in game. What am i doing wrong? should i compress it? none of my others are. i just dont know if this is different.
Yay university!
Sorry I'm just happy with myself...
I'll work more on textures in a few weeks, probly.
3Dsmax is the most intuitive software I've ever used. Did this in a couple hours with no prior modelling experience =D

EDIT:
Oh and I'm overhauling all the GUIs I'll probably get that uploaded by tomorrow sometime.
I go on random non-whitelist servers to test my textures and I'm often disappointed with how they look in all the buildings.
But I think one of my textures strengths is in natural environments..
i think the reason your texture pack has much more strengths in the environments then in buildings is cause the color pallet is very different from the normal one. alot of people play in default and build in default so alot of the blocks that go together are built on the default color sceem. that being said the colors of your pack flow together beautifully and when building something solely with this texture pack things look very nice. i'm not saying change the colors cause that would ruin the whole reason this pack is badass. i just dont think you should judge how you like the textures based of multiplayer buildings :]

you have to put the zip file, not the folder inside, in your textures folder, also you need to have mcpatcher or optifine installed cause its an hd pack.
The only thing I can think of, is well, it makes the entire world look dry
Can you try your hand at this for other climates, too, then have each apply to the respetcive biomes? IE: have EVERY texture be different per biome.
That would be amazing, but a lot of work

Also here is a zip with alternate textures I found from a while back.
A few terrain.png files and one alt.png file where I put in random textures.

This was the first texture pack I used. I haven't used it in a while, so I think I'm going to have to play a bit and see how it's different.
