Hey, can you link me to the 1.2.3 version, i havent updated yet bcuz i have mods that need to be updated, namely optifine, so could you give me the mediafire link to the 1.2.3 pack?? Thanks
ive been using your texturepack for a long time and i can safely say the new coloring looks great good job keep up the great work i would donate but im a little short on money at this time but when i get a few extra bucks ill be sure to donate
The pink biomes are just swamps because they hard coded the colours for them.
EDIT: For this very reason optifine has an inbuilt option that allows you to turn of the hardcoded swamp biome colours.
Every few updates they have made biomes worse and worse. They only use 1 pixel of colour for each biome now.
Aza, if you add a 256 x 256 image titled "swampgrasscolor" to the misc folder it will use the color of the image instead of the hardcoded pink. The same can be done for foliage by adding an image called "swampfoliagecolor"
Ok so I've uploaded a newer version of the pack with some of my WIP bump mapped textures.
I've been having fun doing these new textures, I know there are other textures I haven't even started but I enjoy redoing my older work a lot.

Lol! It's encouraging...I'm the same. If I see something that could be improved, I just can't ignore it, even though there are other textures crying out to be finished.
I'm looking forward to trying this out...downloading...:)
Guys.. I need a little help.
Now I've been working on my texture pack a few hours today and I'm happy with the outcome.
Except I'm worried what I'm seeing isn't what you see. I'm using an LCD monitor and it has 5 main colour modes that greatly change the look of my textures.
-Standard
-Movies
-sRGB
-Dynamics
-Photo
Today I was using standard mode. And I think the textures look good..
for example the following images looks a bit earthy with a slight brownish/yellow hue throughout the textures..
But what do you guys see?.. Sometimes I wish we all went back to using those huge CRTs, colour was perfect back then.
omg omg checked this topic and so glad to see that you are back and working on this one. I am glad that you have kept this one up to date it is one of my favorites of all time. (Previously I was splicing in the new stuff with paint.net)

Edit: Never mind, just updated.
I mostly texture on a whim, when I feel like texturing something.
That's why even after a year I'm not finished.
I was going to user the light_normal file but that doesn't do ****!
So here is a higher contrast, darker version of my texture pack.
It's just a quick fix so there may be anomalies.
I've only edited the terrain.png =/

It's just that higher contrast textures look terrible at a distance because minecraft has no anisotropic filtering or mipmaping inbuilt.
Optifine has it so you can always use that. It's not on by default though.
I'd recommend to everyone to use it.
It does stuff up my leaves a bit sadly. =/
Because I do..

I think the last update I made was the wooden planks, here is a picture! (reduced quality)
What do you guys think?
I have to admit, I don't usually use texture packs with higher resolutions than 32x, but this is amazing! +1 for you
