I absolutely hated glass bottles and brewing stands so I'm working on them now!
Also I'm trying to add placeholder for everything new. If you see anything missing like particles/effects/textures please let me know a lot was added in the last few pre-releases!

Okay, now I'm super excited. Finally someone who makes great 128x textures has dipped into the items.png :biggrin.gif:
Also..
I've made brewing stands a little simpler and less messy then how they were set up in default.
I prefer the idea that its a very basic level of alchemy not scientific with all the tubes and stuff.
Just think of it as this:
1: You put the bottle of water on heat and drop in the ingredients
2: Ingredients cook and dissolve
3: Potion!
Oh wow, my computer can actually handle 128x, only at 15 fps though..still worth it, this is an awesome t.pack
Wonder how it'd be with optifine, cus i can run 32x with 60fps+

I don't notice any difference in fps between default 16x and 256x tbh (and this is on several computers including my most archaic computer I keep around as a guest pc that runs on an amd 3200 dual core, a geforce 8800, 4gbs of ram and windows xp). It really perplexes me when people say they can't handle the game or the textures for it :/ That guest pc of mine has got to be at least 6 years old if not more and can run this pack fine. Maybe the difference between me and everyone else is that I unlock minecraft to use more memory. If this is the case, I'll give you a quick run down on how to do it.
Download Java developer kit, install, then set windows classpath properly (google instructions if you are confused). Open notepad and paste
@ECHO OFF
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx8192M -Xms1024M -jar "C:\Users\roboticaust\Desktop\minecraft.exe"
Edit it to wherever you have your minecraft.exe of course (as well as your java install since each version of windows places it differently), as well as the first number to the amount of ram you want minecraft to use at maximum and the second to the very least amount reserved for the game. By default the game uses 1028 max and 128 min iirc. So adjust it to however you see fit. On my archaic pc, I'm rocking it at 2048 max and 256 min (in other words, 2gbs of ram at most and at least a quarter gb at all times).
Now save this notepad file as minecraft.bat
Every time you want to open the game, you use that file instead of the exe. It will open a dos window then the game. You can close the dos window or leave it open (since closing the game will close it too, so it doesn't matter any). The game should now run on your custom parameters. Giving the game more memory should allow it to operate smoother. Results may vary if you pc truly isn't all that grandiose.
Will change em again some other time.
OH and I have placeholders for 1.9 pre3 textures.

I did once say this:
So I do plan to do it eventually it's just.. slow..
Awesome that you're still working on this.
I'm asking you, as a friend... Just...put an end to me.

No advanced alchemical apparatus to be seen!
Oh and new version is up.
Damnit sorry guys. My host has been playing up lately doping out all the time. I didn't check if it had uploaded properly..
Should be fixed now!
Finally water flows at a realistic pace.
I can't think of a reason why 1.9pre3 wouldn't work on 1.8 I don't remember any textures that have replaced old ones.
Have you tried using the 1.9 version?
That's is good for me because I'm really slow!
EDIT: Yes the hoes are just half a pickaxe.. you can't expect to much work from me in a day!
I'm totally grinning from ear to ear right now
