Door Windows!
Here is a changelog for the past day or two:
-Fixed grass so it is now biome independent without any stray pixels.
-Pine trees have their own leaves.
-Slightly changes smoothstone to look more interesting.
-Made glowstone yellow.
-Made my own TNT texture! (finally!)
-Included my custom rain in texture pack (I think?)
-All new rail types. (booster, pressure plate)
-Door windows
-Thats all I can think of for now...
Erp.. download my texture pack again? maybe it was some random error.. I shouldnt be there though.
idk how that could have happened..
EDIT: Ok I fixed it.. really wierd how minecraft was getting that text from another texture spot in a totally different grid square... It never use to do that =/
I just wanted to take a moment to let you know that your texture pack is by far my favorite. You deserve an extra size helping of kudos for the brilliant work you've done.
I have plans to modify a version for myself to make the cobblestone less 'pretty'. I play on a survival server so I don't think the rubble block should look so 'neat' for building. I was thinking of somehow merging the pattern from the cobblestone in LB's with one of the textures from your misc. section. Ditto on the sandstone.
I like that you've added a window to the door, but as a thought, I think using the window pattern you already have in misc. would look good for the door window.
I know you used the diamond ore for lapis lazuli ore, but have you thought of changing the ore and block closer to real lapis lazuli? It's a gemstone that would fit the Arid theme really well.
for you. This pack is delicious. Looks like it's still a work in progress, here and there, but that in no way impacts the playability of this pack.
My favorites:
1. Wood planks & Cobblestone. These two textures are so good it makes me want to build stuff with them.
2. Stone. Looks realistic without making the game too dark.
3. Grass-topped dirt. Never thought I'd give praise to dirt, but this texture is really nice. It's the sides of the blocks that really makes this texture a winner.
Suggestions for improvement:
1. Water and lava. Though I'm guessing the "Arid" pack is supposed to look a little dry, the water could use just a bit more color, and I feel like the same goes for the lava. Both textures are nice, but somewhat forgettable.
And here they are!
I've redone all the ores and smooth stone.
I would really like as much feedback as possible for the ores because they are hard to do!
Preview image of them all in no particular order!
Hi Aza, I'm glad to see you're back onboard.
However - I am really not feeling the new ore. They are not nearly as visually interesting as the old one - I'm not sure why they needed to change other than the stone colour in order to match the smooth stone. I think they are quite boring to look at, whereas I really enjoyed the textural quality of the old ones.
I also second a previous post that mentioned the door could use some spicing up, and the previous glass (Persian style?) pattern would be a good fit.
I really like the changes - doors, smooth stone. The woods look great, esp when used together. Like some others, I'm not feeling the new ores. Maybe something between this new style and the old one?
The new ores look a tad unrealistic. Contrasted with the fact that the rest of your stuff looks pretty sharp, the 'comic book' nature of the ore seems out of place.
Instead of making it little stars of color based on the mineral contained, perhaps try drawing it considering that inside the block is all the ore, and what we see on the side is just the ore exposed by a pickaxe. So don't worry about uniformly scattered sparkles- go for a raw look: ore in a rock being revealed.

I would like to point out that the redstone is incorrectly placed. (See Below)
I'm not sure what your reffering to I checked the terrain.png and it looks like it lines up with the grid.

I also plan on stealing LB's obsidian. Heh.
Anyways, thanks for sharing this with us.

one note tho, I liked the old water better.. it color was more livid.. this one is way to dry to my liking. I will only swap them.. lol.
Great pack keep it up!
Best Dota-like game ever, sign up and play it for FREE!
I pretty much use solely yours/doku's.
Thanks so much for your awesome efforts into this pack!

Yeah I'm redoing all the ores today and tomorrow.

Something to consider, I hope.
