Like all high res packs that try to look realistic, there's no geometry, so the high res textures look confined and out of place.
Like all the low rez texture packs, that look too pixelated, to see any detail... see what I did right there..... Opinion is Opinion, not fact, get over yourself. High rez packs like this one look fine, it's your opinion, not fact, learn this.

I always find this type of comment amusing. Since the same statement is true for both high and low resolution packs, what you're saying is basically that minecraft is blocky and if you're going to play a blocky game you want a blocky and pixelated game.
I agree, you should totally play it that way. Oh, and I like cake.
First, I really do like your doors a lot, but I've gone and already cut holes in the texture in them lately. I forgot how much of a benefit it is to see outside b4 you open it. (creeper-sssssssssssss)
second. No tools are done, it just seems so odd to see that blocky and ugly tool next to the vivid textures. now don't get me wrong but I easily found a bunch of the texture files you used on google, and presumably if you're like me, we aren't the best pixel artists in the land, and making tools isn't so easy. Might I suggest you ask some of the other texture creators who've made some fantastic tools if you can borrow their GUI's and tools and such?
currently the texture file I'm using is a combo of different works. and before you ask, instead of releasing yet another texture pack that isn't different in some drastic way like most of you creator's works, I think it would be best to not post what I have so far. instead I encourage you to find your own style to the tool's and GUI solution!
Super noob here. I need help with getting this to work. I completely understand how to put the textur epack into the jar file but i have a problem. I downloaded a hd pack by mixcraft and i didnt like it that much, so i deleted the minecraft jar, leaving only the original one. when i open minecraft it makes another minecraft jar but the hd texture pack is gone, which is good. when i put your misc folder and terrain pic in minecraft.jar all i get is the hd mixcraft pack back and not yours. WHAT DO?
Hey man I'm really liking the textures, the doors look nice, but I liked the old stone textures, clean and cobble, maybe you can revert to them.
Which texture specifically? Cobble or smooth stone? If its cobble the old one is still there but you have to edit it yourself. There are a few options of stone, cobble and brick already!
I'm really digging this pack. It does something different yet beautiful with many things I know and love. I've been putting it on instead of Painterly even just to get a different view of things.
When i attempt to drag the AzasAridTexPack.zip into the minecraft.jar folder it says "this process cannot access the file because its being used by another process". I don't get it.. Can someone please help me D:
When I click "Mods and texture packs" and then I click Open Texture Pack Folder, nothing is there O_o. Was i supposed to move a certain file into the Texturepacks file or what?
im not sure what the meaning of this folder is but, i know how to add mods and texture packs, just go to minecraft>bin and right click minecraft, then open in 7zip or winrar and open archive. then move the files you downloaded to the archives

But under a light it shows purple/blueish tones. It is impossible to find a decent picture though. http://ravenmoonlight.com/catalog/image ... sidian.jpg
Maybe notch initially confused obsidian and amethyst though, dunno really.
Ok, well if you insist. :smile.gif:
