I really wish I could get back to doing this, life is sucking pretty bad at the moment.
Studying really depresses me for some reason, it could be the fact they have me making storyboards, writing stories and filming in a friggen WEB DESIGN course.
I have 2 week holiday in a month or so, I'll see if I can get some stuff done then.
Would you consider letting the texture pack be community-run?
Would you consider letting the texture pack be community-run?
I hold nothing against anyone picking it up and working on it.
Though it would eventually be parallel to what I make as the main reason I make this is for enjoyment. When I have the time I enjoy texturing MC and seeing my creations in game.
So if people want to band together and work on it so they can use it in the latest version of minecraft that's fine.
What I'm trying to say it would be more of an alternative option instead of replacement, with a much faster development speed =P
I still slowly work on mine as I can.
Wow, people are really pushing for this pack back. I really like it, so I hit up the forums to see if there was any movement of this reaching 1.5.2. To be honest, if you're really, truly busy with real-life events, there is no way I'd want to pressure you (AzaIndustries) to try and "force" any time into this. So I'm not going to say please finish, or anything of the sort.
However, if you wouldn't mind enlisting some help instead of just letting the pack collect dust, you might be able to add more to this pack regardless. Whereas you haven't had the time to work on the texture pack like you've wanted, there might be other artists with a bit more time on their hands willing to help. A few sketches of what you'd want the new textures to look like with be all you need to provide. Then allow some helping hands to do their thing.
A few posts up from mine, somebody already tried to make the pack entirely functional in 1.5.1 of their own volition (as far as I can tell, when I added the folder to my tp folder, it did not even work), and I'm sure there are more where that came from. You just gotta ask.
Hey peoples I have a minor update, texture pack has still and flowing water. I tried animating the still water but I couldn't make it not look horrible, animation is not my department. =S
I can slowly work on newer textures over time but if you guys could let me know what should be highest priority that would help greatly.
I don't really play MC much anymore so it's hard for me to see what needs fixing the most.

EDIT: TBH I find getting back into this rather daunting, I don't know where to start.
Glad to hear that you're back. Following this thread for a while and now signed up for it. By far the best texture pack I've seen!
For me, the highest priority would be the new blocks (coal, redstone and quartz blocks) and the armors. Otherwise I don't really need to have the mobs, although i quite like what you did with the creeper! Maybe an idea would be making the sheep colours according to the wool colour.
Something I'm not really a fan of is the change in the swamp biomes. But I guess I can change it myself rather quickly.

Where'd you leave off? If it was like 1.4.7, then your just looking to incorporate the new stuff, I'd imagine. New redstone tools and quartz stuff. Other things that are important that you may not have are things such as trapped chests and Ender Chests (though I honestly don't know what you have in total since I can't check at this point in time; perhaps when I can get home).
PLEASE FINISH THIS! i love your texture pack, i spent like an hour trying to get it to work before i realized it wasn't done. i love what you have so far though, its freaking amazing. i use sphax, and i personally like this one better. please finish it...
edit: also would like to update that after trial and error i finally figured out how to patch it to work in 1.5.2... great job, and 10/10 rating from me.
also i would like to recommend some things. not telling you how to do your job, but there are some things that i think could be improved:
netherack i think should be made up of dead plants, like have that netherack that you have now in the back, with some dead plant matter mixed in perhaps.
stone brick i think would look better with a grayish tint, it kinda looks like sandstone to me right now.
the iron/gold/diamond/etc. blocks dont really look like metal, maby a smoother finish, or some kind of outline around the edge, kind of like sphax purebdcraft.
obsidian would be good looking kind of like the end-stone, maby kind of faceted, or like obsidian shards fused together.
a different design for bedrock, i personally think black looks cool, or maby a design kind of like the removed crying obsidian. possibly have it look similar to endstone, with blue light seeping out of the cracks, to give it kind of a mystical look.
iron ore looks like chocolate, like the design, but not the color so much, maby a more metallic one.
and last, wooden planks. maby not so many lines, a simpler design.
all these are just suggestions, feel free to use them however you see fit. i love how its coming so far.
Isn't that somewhat contradictory to the "washed-out aesthetic" that put your pack on the map to start going darker?
No it's going back to a how it looked previously, before I FUBAR'd it.
If you make something that is washed out darker that doesn't mean it jumps to the other end of the spectrum, there are plenty of places between dark and light.
EDIT: In other news..
I can't get my texture pack to work with 1.6 even though I used TextureEnder.jar to convert it. It's not detected in game, and it's in the resource pack folder. =/
Also I added some new screenies on first post. =D
I think I'm getting back into mincraft! Moreso when 1.6 comes out. It's gonna be awesome.
That difficulty boost is the deal-maker.
I'm planing on getting Quarts and the new clay textures done over the weekend.
If there are any glaring issues with the 1.6 release please let me know and I will fix them ASAP, I converted it and tested it briefly, it seems to have worked.
I would like to apolgize if this was already brought up but I cant bring myself to read through 86 pages right now but I cant seem to get your pack to work? I followed the instructions to the T but when I click Resource Packs in the Options menu of minecraft only the Default look is there. Any ideas? I have no experience with minecraft mods/texture packs, coming straight from vanilla!

Anywho this version seems to work fine with the latest version of MC, any missing textures just use default atm.

So yeah.. if you re-download it, it should work with the latest version of minecraft now

Deleting the files from the CTM folder within the pack seems to solve this
- Removed CTM folder
- Increased Dirt saturation and reduced brightness.
- Smooth stone brick darkened
- Smooth stone darker.
- Changes to cobblestone.
Not sure I got the names of the blocks right, I havn't played MC in a while.
I tried to fix some of the extreme brightness in my texture pack, editing most common blocks.
