Robothacker, No I haven't updated these templates to include the new default textures or label their blocks. But they should have masked layers all ready to go.
The default texture is just a single layer, so it only requires pasting the default terrain.png into that layer. After resizing it to fit of course, using nearest neighbor. I figured anyone using these could do so until I upload new versions. I've been busy reworking almost every texture in Sanguine. But I'll put up new ones shortly.
Obsidian is missing from the row 3 terrain 16 layers list.
It's actually missing from row 3 on all four templates. I was editing it's label to have white text and decided to stroke all the text labels instead just before I uploaded them. Apparently I deleted the obsidian layer instead. It's too easy to make a mistake when you're dealing with 290 layers / layer folders.
I'll update the downloads. Thanks for the heads-up ptbotwo! EDIT The templates are updated with the obsidian layer included.
If you're referring to the purple tiles those are unused areas. They may be populated in future Minecraft updates.
You can also use those areas to include alternate textures that users of your texture pack can copy and paste over some other texture. Many authors put tiles in these areas when they replace them with an updated texture but hear from users that they prefer the old version.
Not sure how to skin a mob? Check my mob skin thread.
