This is the best resource pack I've used to date. So creative! I must have taken such a long time to do all the textures - they look amazing. The visuals were enough to draw me in, but the pistol as the bow was the coupe de grace for my wavering heart... Thanks!
I am praying for you and your family... Just saw the post.
I wonder if anyone would update this to 1.12... I found a few textures that were missing such as the observer, the beetroot related items, and some others like the end crystals. I mean.. there are very creative people out there so I hope someone will pick this up this is an AMAZING pack <3
I am very glad you like the pack, however, it's not been dropped yet...so not available for anyone to pick it up. In any event, I must direct folk to look at my licence on the first page.
There have been pretty life-changing events in my family life and it is hard for me under the circumstances to even get to the PC and concentrate on anything, but the work represented here is very important to me in other respects, not just for Minecraft or Glimmar's Steampunk.
At the moment I'm trying to survive in the real world, let alone a Minecraft one.
Hope things get better soon for you and your family.
I'm really liking the new animations and blocks. This pack has come a long way since I was around and texturing.

Glimmar- First, I will also be praying for you and your family! Hope things get better soon.
Second, thank you for this amazing resource pack! I love steampunk and have not found a better pack for MC. I am working on a city at the moment and will try to upload some images when it get's a little further along.
I did have one question: In the past I have been able to replace the nether brick fence with the iron/brass post. With the latest update, I can find the image in the 'extra textures', but I cannot find the folder to place it in after it has been renamed. Obviously, if anyone else can answer this I would greatly appreciate it as well!
It was a hard week at work, but nevertheless I've done Exosuit texturing for Flaxbeards Steam Power. I'd say I've covered most of the mod's machinery, as can be seen on screenshot below. I did most major armor platings for the suit. The framework of the suit is based on Megistus Eligius' Tinkers Construct exosuit, platings were taken from Vermillion Twilight's works, and the helmet is from Glimmar's works.
I will release my Flaxbeard's support when it will be ready, I still have to cover all gadgets for the suit and many more stuff nobody usually uses in this mod, like brass armor. With new Glimmar's tools from the newest version I will surely be able to make complete set of steam-powered tools.
I haven't played in a while, but I just downloaded the latest version and I noticed that the paintings are no longer animated and the connected textures don't seem to be working (animated blocks and items still work though). Is this a problem with the game, the mod, or the pack?
There you will find a repository of my texture packs going back to GS v10 which is way before MC 1.7.3 that your looking for.
Don't click on the big green 'File' button, rather click on the little 'Files' tab below the 'Glimmar's Steampunk' Heading. The line of tabs there reads...Overview Files Images Relations Settings...
I think you'll want to download GS v.13 or v.15. Try those out for MC 1.7.3 support.
That's actually too new for beta 1.7.3, as several of the textures have relocated in the terrain.png and/or been moved out to separate files. I'm looking one with a terrain.png that looks something like this (note the chest textures underneath the web):
Ah! So sorry. Completely overlooked the 'beta' part.
I've scanned through all my hard drives for my ancient backups and can't find my really old archives...moved somewhere safe no doubt, but so safe I can't now find them...a bit worrying actually. I've accessed my now fairly ancient MediaFire account and the oldest version of the pack that I can find there is still only for Minecraft v. 1.1, so post-beta I'm afraid.
It's bugging me that i can't find my old archive of texture packs as I'm not in the habit of deleting anything!
Real life has been in something of a turmoil this past year, so only now beginning to put some things back together again.
If I do find something I will let you know. Apologies.
After chasing some dead links around, I ran across this copy of "v2.7 for Steamcraft 0.4", which seems to be the correct version for beta 1.7.3: https://mediafire.com/file/63p5d678xa6ping/
It's been a looooong time since I played minecraft consistently but over the past few weeks I've been working on a city in creative mode with Glimmar's textures. If I managed to use imgur properly the album should be here
I'd like to say that I absolutely love Glimmar's pack, its so detailed and consistent in tone. Unlike many packs like this, you can actually play the game in GS and the world still looks relatively natural, it's awesome.
A few things: Glimmar, do you have plans for the Terracotta and Concrete changes/additions in 1.12? And would it be possible to get a version of the pack with more normal beds and bookshelves that only have bookshelf textures?

Chiseled red sandstone and smooth red sandstone have switched ctm textures.
Easily fixable by exchanging the 1 and the 2 in the three "red_sandstone_chiseled" files and the two "red_sandstone_smooth" files
located in "assets -> minecraft -> mcpatcher -> ctm -> red_sandstone"
Can't believe this started almost 7 years ago! This is still one of the most amazing packs out there!
.....................................................
Are you going to make a pocket editon port of this? I would love to see one!

I've found diamonds today. The new textures are awesome. Thanks Glimmar!
Putting this back on Minecraft was like coming home!
Thanks so very much!

Hey bud,
Hope things get better soon for you and your family.

I hope things start coming together for you again, in a good way.

Now back to building...

Does anyone have a copy of the old beta 1.7.3 version around? My searches only turned up dead mediafire links.
If you go to my Curse/Forge page here:
