Just a quick one here, to report I'm working as fast as real life will allow, to put together the next update for Glimmar's Steampunk v1.7 texture pack.
The new terrain file is already here though:
Just rename the above file to 'terrain.png' and drop it into the v1.6 pack to replace the outdated terrain.png file in there. Then, apart from the missing floating note from the 'music' block (I haven't updated the 'particles.png' file yet) you will be able to play with all of Notch's new additions. If you are really brave, the files for the new boat and cart are also available for download on page 1 (just rename them to 'boat' and 'cart' and put them in the 'item' file in my zipped texture pack)
Once you've patched with xau's HD Patcher, which has just been updated for Beta 1.2 , all graphical glitches will be fixed. Don't forget to try out Mr Messiah's awesome BetterLight mod...it will seriously enhance your enjoyment of this texture pack and Minecraft. Thanks for your patience everyone and my apologies to anyone not familiar with changing files manually.
Is this for your upcoming Cthuhlu pack, or can others use it here in Glimmer's Steampunk?
Makes my following little update a bit of a damp squid (now that was a good joke for me! )
Just had a little time to update the particles.png file, so you have the musical note:
Rename the file to 'particles' and drop it into Glimmar's Steampunk texture pack (zip). You should have the note pop out of the music block as expected. Have also tweaked some of the other components too.
Just thought you might like it in advance. :smile.gif:
Perhaps some thoughts as to whether the musical note can have a more appropriate Steampunk equivalent?

I was trying to install this texture pack and i was wondering if someone could just magaupload their texturepack zip? because there seems to be no other easy way because the updates are scattered all over the thread, or am i mistaken? I want to get all of the steampunk mobs and such as well as the gui etc...
well there's a lot of mixing involved, so we really can't do that, plus they aren't all made by glimmar, therefore not all are updated. Plus, I would but it's late where I am.

All you need (i think), is the original download, the items, and the updated terrain on page 72, and particles on 74
I'm gonna make a steam laboratory once the new art file is out :biggrin.gif: I had an idea, with the spawner on top and tubes going to vats... Screens up soon
Wow, I see you're quite right when it comes to missing ALOT in the matter of 2 days.
Hope everything's been well on your end. Thanks for all the work you've done, and I hope that you get enough rest in between updates. If you work yourself too hard, all these great updates will mean nothing.
Thank you again for all your hard work, and putting together everyone's work for this great pack.
@Neogetz Yeah, I thought it had something to do with the texture reassignment, I just didn't know what all was changed/moved. Thanks for clarifying.
The items ping looked to be missing some stuff. Not sure though...if not, I'll add it and redo the link. Also made a furnace GUI to go with the others.
Here's Glimmar's packs with a bunch of the user made goodies inside:
I read one of your posts, Glimmar, saying you would post a .zip file tomorrow.. well, it's tomorrow and i don't see a .zip.... D: not to be pushy, but i really want the file :tongue.gif: I love your pack and cant wait to see it updated :smile.gif:
Perhaps some thoughts as to whether the musical note can have a more appropriate Steampunk equivalent?
I've thought of a few things from lazers to bronze tentacles but the only thing I've thought of that is plausible would be a small cog that goes from dark to lighter the higher the note is (If this is possible, I don't know how Notch has implemented it.) Or something to that effect :happy.gif:
I appreciate the hard work Glimmer, you make Minecraft 10x more enjoyable

That's what I posted ^
It adds everything he updated so far in the terrain.png, the boat and cart, as well as some user submitted stuff.

Well, I am just going to stop in here and drop off my updated item sheet. It's 2 am where I am right now, so I can't really post anything extravagant. But:
I added wooden/stone/iron hoes, and I also added another bow replacement that I made for no other reason other than that I was bored.
For that matter, neither is that burning building behind me. Shoo.

Retired StaffUse it as you wanna :biggrin.gif:
If I ever really get started on the H.P. LoveMineCraft theme...it will go innit. But I'd love for you to use it as well. Or anyone who wants to.
