Been meaning to ask, how do you make those lanterns on the post that are on the first page? I've got the glowstone but anytime I try and stack a fence it doesn't seem to work.
D00med, do you think that you might be able to reupload those, I can't see them on the forums, and when I go to its url, it 404s me.
Is it just me or are the forum acting really weird today? I can't see any images and I keep getting 502 errors...I saw those pics earlier, I liked the buckets. :smile.gif: They looked very scientific. :tongue.gif:

That's because you can't stack fences on top of each other, but you can stack them underneath each other.
Okay, I have some new items. Today is likely the last day that I'm able to post something new until after Christmas.
Some golden picks:
A simple golden pick, cost quite the pretty penny.
A golden feather? I can see why this would break quickly.
A pickax pulled straight from the grand central clock, this is the quality you get for vandalizing.
The updated item sheet:
My next plans are to create a clockwork version of the golden sword, and then start the diamond pick. After both of those, I'll get to work on the axes, then I'll try the shovels. The sickles/hoes will be the last of the tools, then I'll start on other things.
Before I get into the blow-by-blow with the pictures, I have to give a HUGE thanks to Vernian Process! I listened to ya'lls music nearly the entire time I spent building the GMS Valkyrie. It was absolutely the most inspired I've felt in years about anything.
Thanks so much! That is really awesome to hear! I'm sure the rest of the guys in the band will appreciate your wonderful comment. =)
Oh and I love your Airships too btw, that new one reminds me of the Albatross from Jules Verne's Robur the Conqueror.
I'm feeling really bad about the number of posts I'm making on this page, but:
I fixed the strange colors on my item sheet, and I decided to create a matching golden clock sword.
A sword ripped straight from that ovesized wall clock down the street, don't blame me if it breaks:
The correct item sheet! The previous however many had strange hapenings in the coloring, making the contrast much more than it was.
I'll try to add text to it clarifying what goes where when I release the diamond picks.

I must confess, I'm new to steampunk and when I started researching images I saw the Albatross and almost built mine exactly( or as close as MC will allow), but the inspiration took me into a slightly different direction. On that note, here's my next ship. I wanted to do something steampunkish, but with a futurist flair and after seeing the Mysterious Explorations of Jasper Morello I wanted it to be a research vessle. That lead to doing a ship based on something natural, I found this picture.
GMS Bumblebee
I'd like to thank BoneHead0816 for showing me a new way to light up my engines! Look at the shadow...I love how it portrays the shape of a bee or fly...another happy accident.
A nice elevated rear shot.
Here's a kick ass night time shot from the starboard side.
This shot really shows off the new engine look as provided by BoneHead0816...it's really really cool at night!
My next project is a collaboration and is absolutely massive, the overall length is 202 blocks...stay tuned for more steampunk love!
I've been using nearly all the textures in your texture pack, and I love them all of course. But I find that the wooden door just doesn't do it for me, don't know why but it seems somewhat out of place. Would you be interested in making a wooden door that is still steam-punked up n' all that but perhaps less machinery on it? Here is a photo of the door, not sure why I'm posting it, but I'd might as well. :happy.gif: http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/8330/spdoor.jpg
Just a small request, and I understand if you don't have the time or patience to do it. Thanks in advance. :smile.gif:

And so on, etc.
Excellent, thank you much sir, this will help me greatly.

Beasty Muffins...wtf? :wink.gif:
What don't you like about the wooden door? and I'm truly asking? Tough for Glimmar to come up with a new door without some ideas of what you are looking for? The door to me seems very SP(SteamPunkish) and the machinery bits on it is what makes it that way.

I don't know why I feel this way. As I said, it just feels out of place for me. But that's only because I'm not using the entire pack. Maybe for an alternate wooden door he could make it like those old 1500's~ warship wooden door. I honestly don't mind having the current door though, it was only a suggestion. (:

Hmm...
I think what Beastly has in mind is to tone it down just a little on the door right now. Instead of a pipe-strewn door, perhaps a more period accurate door would be appropriate? Fun fact: the modern door-knob wasn't patented until 1878: Lincoln lived and died without seeing one!
Oh, and let me just go ahead and say Merry Christmas to everybody on the thread! May Zombie Claus bring you wonderful presents!
"Zombie Santa?"
"Of course! He can only come out at night and is immortal! Gotta be a zombie!"
"Ah. That won't give kids nightmares, will it? [/sarcasm]"
