Glim, you still there? Anyone? I hope this pack doesn't die...

It works just fine with 1.8. And I dont think Glimmar've abandoned it. He's a busy man
Correct on both counts, Overjay. Thanks for understanding.
Family and work are all but occupying my every waking minute at the moment and...well, MC texturing and maintaining this thread just got a bit too much last summer.
Bought a whizzo new PC with Win 8.1 back then and things went a bit further down hill...rapidly!
Then I installed Win 10 and found even more of my stuff wouldn't work properly. So basically everything ground to a halt with regard to texturing.
When you've got such little free time of an evening, and you're physically and mentally very tired, you don't have a lot of 'umph' for solving problems with graphics tablets, drivers, new operating systems and the like...so I just ended up playing a few old and new games and avoiding MC altogether, because sadly it just made me feel like it was work and not play.
Then I made the mistake of playing FTB late last summer with all the bells and trimmings and got so hooked investigating all the mods in the 'Infinity' pack...I just had to go and start tinkering with a combo of my pack, John Smith, Megistus, etc. making some new plant textures and kind of concentrating on the Witchery mod, Pams Harvestcraft and the Plant Mega Pack...odds and sods really. Then free time disappeared altogether for a while with some longstanding family emergencies.
All of the above (and the 'music/sound effects' pack and some bits and pieces of things for 1.8 I was working on when everything came crashing down) I will get round to uploading some time, but I am so way out of form with MC Forum stuff and getting my head around an updated pack that I can't say when that will be.
I've been working on setting up a new 'studio' and a number of real world art projects and hope to revitalize my old Deviant Art page with more traditional art work I've been working on and all the stuff I've made for Glimmar's Steampunk, but it's all up in the air really until I can find the time to get my studio and brain a bit more organised.
I have at least banged my new win 10 PC rig into shape...somewhat, so that's at least a start, but I'm being very honest when I say I'm struggling to find the time and enthusiasm to open up my mess of a pack and tease out what's new, especially since it got merged with a whole load of other textures to make my 64x 'FTB Infinity' experience more fun.
So I'm currently clueless, aimless and still lacking the willpower to dive back in just yet, even if I had some free time, but I'm still alive and not abandoning MC texturing just yet.
I can't believe some of you are still looking in here, but with such fantastic offerings from Megistus and others (many, many thanks to you good folk), I shouldn't be too surprised.
Anyways, I better be off, things to tidy...family to help, work to do. Writing this post has just about finished me off for now.
Happy New Year to you all and the very best of wishes for all your endeavors, be they real world or imaginary.
Then I installed Win 10 and found even more of my stuff wouldn't work properly.
Well, that's sad. After the win8 came out I've started thinking about Windows new versions just like I think about new iPhones - some cosmetics on the surface, zero new features in the core.
Regarding the free time in the evening - oh, I totally agree with you. After I've graduated from university last summer, my free time had shortened to something like 3 hours after I get home a 19:00 or even 2 if I had tough day
If it weren't going to lose support, I would suggest staying with 7.
The Auld Grump - my good lady snuck in and built a Tiny Living house with a built in hot tub in an area that I hadn't been in for a while.... People are weird.
With Optifine now in 1.9, we now have the beautiful connected textures so beloved of resource packs like this one. Now all we need is an update, but please take your time as always, as this is high art.
-Quick question; I'm putting together a modpack and hoping to include Gotolink's port of Pchan's airship/pirate/steamboat. Goto mentioned that you created the original texture assets for the above- which are included as part of the mod's download.
May I include these original textures as a part of my modpack?
Thank you
-Phoenix

Oh, yes. No problem. If you would kindly include credit for the textures in the readme and website, that would be great. Best wishes for the success of the modpack and nice to see the airship mod is still flying.
Also...to all who posted above, many thanks for still looking in, it's unexpectedly nice of each of you to take the time and is very much appreciated.
You can link to it here or recommend it, make videos of your world using it, but you can't package it with your map as a separate download. I only allow downloading of the pack from this website or my Curse page. Look at the 'legal/licence' section on page 1 for answers to any other questions about what you can and can't do with the pack.
Well yeah, you'd kinda have to. I mean, if you only do it occasionally, is it really stalking?
Well it's all a matter of technicalities. If I was an attractive man/woman then I would be an admirer. Then add to that only an occasional stalking, it would classify me as a follower. If I then had a YouTube channel, I could claim to be a reporter. If I reported largely on game related subjects, I could pass myself off as a video game testers or blogger.
But I'm a 750 pound, hairy, silver-back gorilla with separation anxiety issues and no YouTube page and I glue printed out pages of Glimmar's Steampunk artwork to the wall in my mothers darkened basement (when she isn't watching), so that puts me in the stalker category.
Wave Glimmar, I'm outside your house in the bushes!

Hahaha! Heehee! [whispers over shoulder to the family, "Quick...start boarding up the windows again! Remember your training, start the 'Zombie Apocalypse Drill'! I'll keep DirtDog amused with my non-maniacal friendly laughter"] Hahahahaha! Heeheeheehee!
Well, I've just taken a look at MC 1.9, fully mindful of all the stuff I haven't caught up with on 1.8 yet, and...oh boy! There's a lot of changes to particles, guis, blocks, etc. I am tinkering a bit when I've got a little free time. At least it's a start. Any lists of stuff that needs updating would be useful, even though I'm going through and noticing things as I fiddle around.
MCPatcher seems to be on hold, so I'll just be looking at vanilla textures and that seems to fit in with my interest in FTB minecraft. I'll have a go at randomizing some textures without the need for MCPatcher.
My better half is two weeks into having had replacement knee surgery, so on top of work and all the normal things associated with keeping a family home going, I'm now doing my best as an amateur physiotherapist and nurse!
Bear with me...
