Glimmar, I want to lick these new textures. In fact, I will, as soon as you release the new version.
Haha! You always make me laugh, Steel.
'Licking textures'...now that's a new one. I wonder if kahr has considered adding flavored textures as an extra tool in MCPatcher. Opens up all sorts of possibilities for those 'candy' craft style of resource packs.
idea of ideanees! why not have airships..moving along the moon like this... but real small
I considered this way back when I was first making the nighttime star Better Skies textures. I read a lot of sci-fi and I thought about adding an orbiting steampunk space station, but by the time I'd added in the daytime Better Skies textures the whole system was already creaking under the weight of such hi-res artwork. If I had time, it would still be a cool experiment, but it might not be to everyone's liking...so probably as an add-on resource pack.
As you say, it would have to be the right size and carefully positioned to look like it was actually orbiting the earth. Airships would be even trickier depending on your point of view, because as you moved around the landscape the perspective on the position of a given moving airship might begin to look a little peculiar, but I'm only guessing. I'm sure this has all been done many times before, just to prove me wrong.
As has always been the case, if I had more time I'd have all sorts of extra stuff like that.
But don't let me put you off suggesting ideas, Matt. Always much appreciate the interest.
The first time I play minecraft I use your textures, and now four years have passed and I still in use. Even at 1.8 I also tried to use the Glimmar's Steampunk V15. . Finally, thank you very much to make this wonderful textures, I have been using it
please forgive my English is very bad.......

First of all, may I heartily welcome you to the MC Forums, your translation came through very well, so no need to apologise.
Secondly...WOW!
I couldn't be happier to see such wonderful, breathtaking images...your imagination is truly awe-inspiring...and I absolutely love what you have created using my resource pack. I was just about to shut my PC down after a frustrating evening, when I thought I would have a last look for any posts here, and seeing those pics of yours, I am now going to bed with a smile on my face instead of a grimace...you really have made my day...!
I am currently editing my OP (Original Post) on page 1 of this thread, in preparation for launching GSv.16. I would love to show some (if not all) of these pictures in there in a new 'fan world' section if I may. They are soooo good!
Many thanks for showing us your work, I am sure many of my visitors and regulars will be inspired looking at them.
I now feel even more guilty having seen your pictures, that like others, you have been struggling to continue using GSv15 with MC 1.8. I can only apologise to everyone, yourself included that you've all had to wait so long for the GSv.16 update. I am also somewhat fearful as to how much I may spoil everyone's world's by some of the changes I've made.
I really look forward to seeing more examples of your work from you in the future.
Your resourcepack was the first ever minecraft texturepack i used! After a while, i went to sphax, but now I am back, and I can barely belive my eyes!!!
Also, has a 1.8 version of this pack come out yet? If so then I am really behind...

Oh, Sphax is a fantastic texture pack and way more mainstream than mine, so I well understand anyone migrating in that direction. I'm also flattered you like the look of the old GS pack still. GSv.16 is currently not out, but it's finished and everyone is currently waiting on me to bash my OP into working order. I don't want to release the pack, after so much hard work, using a sub-par front end. The trouble is family life and work is constantly intruding into any bits of free time I think I have!
I've promised myself I won't do any more tweaks or additions to GSv.16 now until I've finished the OP work, so I'm hoping the 1.8 update will be out soon...I'm desperate to relax and start building again in my own world of Newglim.
F2 key saves a .png screenshot, which you'll find in your 'screenshots' folder in the '.minecraft' folder. '.png' files are pretty big, so you might want to convert them to '.jpg' format before uploading them to a free image hosting site like 'Imgur.com', once you've uploaded the image, the hosting site will provide you with a link url, which you wrap in [image] commands in your post (easiest way of seeing how this is done is to just click on 'quote' on someone else's comment who has posted screenshots)...and Bob's your uncle!
Any cool looking screenshots I could use now to make up a nice fan world Imgur Album for the OP to inspire others to make and show stuff when using this pack. Quite a few great looking images in my current mess of an OP have disappeared from view, so I'm keen to acquire any new images for display, if folk will give me permission to upload them to my Imgur account...with suitable credit attached to each picture of course.

Well, you certainly always have my permission to use anything I have ever posted.
... and I certainly am on pins-and-needles waiting for you to upload. I have been dragging my feet on doing any more work on the mod pack until I can play and tinker with the new textures
Hey Glim, if editing the OP is being such a hassle, it may be best to start a new thread after all these years if that would help. I am sure none of us would mind moving over to it if you went that route.
Out of curiosity, what are you trying to edit in the OP, that is giving such difficulty?
I love your texture pack/Resource pack, and I have been using it since I found it back when I started playing Minecraft. I can't wait until V.16 release.
Hammered the OP here into submission (yeah! I have the bruises to prove it!), with lots of new stuff (but I've only tested a preview of the new OP...so pray it works when I actually save it!). Didn't realize the Curse page editor had completely changed too...so needed a frustrating day's work to get familiar with that, but all is changed now...go and have a look to get a taste of what to expect from my new OP here when I upload:-
Realized that changing how sandstone works so radically might actually be a real deal breaker for anyone who has made massive sandstone constructions, so I made a 'Normal Sandstone' add-on pack to ease the change over.
Of course there will still be much to do to convert remaining 32x textures in the pack and also to update 1.8 banners, prismarine, armor stand and guardian stuff and also many new ctm textures I have in mind to do, but all of this work I hope to do as mini-updates.
In short...should be uploading a MASSIVE (including thousands of new textures!) update sometime this weekend...
I'm loathe to say anything about it, but that Curse/Forge link brings up a, "you are forbidden from that action," error screen. Maybe only you can see it until you make it go live. Oh the anticipation...
*EDIT* the link does not work, but the updates are there if you navigate to the v15 page on your own.

I'm noticing the same. Looking at the URL, I get the feeling that the link was for one of the settings pages, which is probably only viewable by the owner of the page. Still, looking at the Overview page, it looks good.

Curse PremiumNorzeteus, I'm thinking it would also have potential for your pack too being sci-fi?
