That's some pretty neat jungle textures!
I love the random CTM-textures for the top of them.
-They fit quite well into the tiles you've made.
I think I've been a bit misleading with my pics and lack of info.
I decided for the main pack that the most useful pipe top texture would be the square grate as it tiles much better than the rounded textures and allows for many more possible construction ideas...like wall grates, drain covers, walkways, vents etc. I also failed to point out that I've textured in 'hinted at machinery and pipes' just below the surface of the grate texture, something I couldn't do with the other rounded grates and lids.
If anyone would sooner have lots of different random grates (as seen in the pics above and only on display to show the range of pipe tops I went through) rather than just one useful one, then I can make a separate add-on pack that you can download and select above the main pack in your texture pack menu. I should probably make lots of other little add-on packs to give peeps the choice to have more traditional bookcases, pumpkins and the like.
You don't need to use MCPatcher at all to install my pack, just use it like any other pack and install it in your texture pack folder in game, but if you want to see Better Skies, lots of RandomMobs, animated guis, lots of interesting random and connected extra textures, Better Colours, etc, then you do need the services of MCPatcher.
You can either install MCPatcher before or after installing my pack, as once installed it effects all texture resource packs that have been made with MCPatcher in mind.
Don't forget though, I'm still working on my GSv16 MC 1.8 update, so my currently available download is for MC 1.7.x.
I'm just glad an idea of mine helped the versatility of the pack just that much more!
I like that dirigible, and how the riveting suggests bands of material rather than the small plates that using wool would suggest.
It was a good suggestion and pushed me to try harder for sure. I just didn't think the illusion of curvature would be strong enough, but in any event even if it doesn't work as strongly as a single pipe, it does have other very nice effects as you mention, especially when you start experimenting with different widths close together.
The airship kind of put me in mind of the Chrysler Building on it's side and those old stainless steel 'space' touring caravans of the 50's. Probably less Steampunk and more 'Buck Rogers' I suppose, but if it increases the palette of inventiveness, who cares!
Glimmar's Steampunk v.16 Update - available when ready!
Using the powers of MCPatcher alone, which you have to use anyway to get the best from my resource pack, I experimented with two more painting slots...my old 64x64 'Queen Victoria' and 'Cogs' painting...and created a few extra 'portrait' paintings and 'scene' or 'diagram' paintings that are timed to change at regular intervals throughout the day...as if by magic!
This is quite a powerful effect for my theme pack, as a portrait painting and a scene/diagram painting can be placed in different rooms or houses, and as you wander around you are faced with an ever-changing range of images using just two 64x64 painting slots.
I think it adds a whole lot of atmosphere for very little MC resource. It means a whole lot of extra work for me, but worth it! Having said that, it's actually really good fun creating lots of little 64x64 original paintings as the idea has no limits. By the way, if you subtract the frame, each painting is only 40 x 45 pixels. Amazing what you can do with just a few pixels.
Incidentally the time period for change-over between paintings and poster is different, so you'll see 'random' arrangements of all 3 paintings if placed together.
Anyway, have a look at the video and see what you think.
To all those who are still interested in my work...thanks for looking in and for any comments, they are much appreciated.
Thanks for watching.

Taster Vid 4: 'Three for One Block Bargain!'
CTM 'Chequerboard Tile' Top, 'Subway Brick' sides and 'Plasterwork Ceiling' bottom all on the one White Stained Clay Block.
Watch the video and you'll see how one block can perform 3 distinctly different roles. Of course you will need to use the latest 'MCPatcher' mod to make use of any CTM 'connected textures'. However, seeing as how Glimmar's Steampunk makes full use of MCPatcher for things like extra blocks, animated 'BetterSkies', random animated extra mobs and villagers, animated GUIs, extended range of animated paintings, Better Colors, BetterLighting, etc. ...you'd be missing out on so much more if you don't!

Know there is at least one person on this planet who would kiss the ground you walk on.
Well I wouldn't expect you to go that far ( ), but it's nice to know there's a few people out there still interested in the old pack (now being made very new in lots of areas!). Until this morning I was beginning to think everyone had lost interest...phew!
I for one am very excited about the upcoming pack update for 1.8 ... though, I suppose I will be just simply working it into 1.7.10 as that is what I am currently playing as, well, not even forge has really matured into 1.8
That all being said, I have begun the work of getting the mod texture pack updated to 1.7.10 for the following mods:

Curse PremiumHaha! It's been done many times before and it's not like I've taken a patent out on it.

Glad you like what I did though.
Whoops! Nearly forgot to answer this.

I did it for you...so it's a good job you do!
If you hadn't put in the the suggestion though, it might not have happened.

Curse PremiumThat all being said, I have begun the work of getting the mod texture pack updated to 1.7.10 for the following mods:
- Bibliocraft + Bibliocraft woods - forestry edition
- Buildcraft
- Chocolate Quest
- Craft Guide
- EnderIO
- Enhanced Portals 3
- Extra Doors
- Forestry / Forestry Extras
- MineFactory Reloaded
- Nether Ores
- Railcraft
- Tinkers Construct / Mantle / Tinkers Mechworks
