Is it possible to add Vernian Process's music to the texture pack to replace the game's sounds during gameplay because I was listening to Curse of Whitechapel and it would be perfect for nighttime music. Also Into the Aether would be good for normal daytime. Also, when I install your pack, and mine redstone, it appears as the normal dust (red pile) and when I use Controller Bloc, only the red pile works for the centre. Also when I destroy the laid dust, it turns back into red piles.

Sadly, I don't think you can. Vernian's music is most likely in MP3 format, whereas the minecraft sound files are .ogg type.

I haven't used the controller block mod myself, but Glimmar hasn't created an actual item-file yet, so redstone drops that you can pick up will appear as the standard red piles. You can use the fan-compilation file by Tiger4Ruler in the meantime, though:
I apologize if this has been mentioned, but this monster is 42 pages long.
When I first saw this, it actually inspired me a bit towards MC modding. I was, admittedly, disappointed to find this as just a texture pack (albeit an awesome one).
I figure it may be possible to implement (a few?) steampunk blocks, my first thought resulted in this:
A special furnace block (ideally crafted slightly separately, maybe out of Iron / blocks instead of cobblestone?), which allows water buckets to be placed in the top. Upon consumption of the bucket, it will change the block directly above from "air" to "steam". If it's not air, it will do nothing unusual, unless...
Craftable pipe blocks, which work on the redstone principle, carrying "steam" power to any destination.
Vertical pipes could be crafted thusly: [] [] []
Horizontal, then, looking like this:
[] [] []
And elbow pieces, looking like an adaptation of this:
[] [] []
Of course, that's not really doing much without steam powered entities.
SycoPrime
That's some mighty modding you got there!
I assume what you said is quite possible using modloader and copying redwire mechanics, but it's still a lot of work.
My Nether has gone bad. All the main ground blocks have the textures of water.
WATER.
Have you installed xau's MC Patcher mod yet? Look carefully on page 1, there are clear instructions on how to install this pack, install the patcher and get up and running. The problem you describe is experienced by all HD texture packs (anything over 16x16pixels). The reliable fix is always to install the MC Patcher.
It would just be nice if Notch would recognise that we are all different and some of us enjoy the game more when played in higher resolutions. Then everyone would be happy! It's only a small change to make to the game and the result...a significant and very loyal section of the Minecraft population would be ecstatic!

Triskelli wrote: Sadly, I don't think you can. Vernian's music is most likely in MP3 format, whereas the minecraft sound files are .ogg type.
The conversion of *.mp3 to *.ogg should not be the problem, I had a short look the music pieces of C418 are alot shorter than Vernian Process, music is located in the folder ressources and not directly applicable by the "Texture Pack" function. If I saw it right there are 3 music pieces, the only way would be at the moment convert to *.ogg files and replace the default music by copying out of the zip to the location, I am abit torn towards how userfriendly this is to make and first 3 pieces of the album have to be selected..
Although people think about the size, it will increase drasticly the size of the texture packs zip...
At the moment it seems easier for the end user to download the whole album and enjoy it completely via mp3 player also launched before minecraft game, but I am open towards suggestions. I will have a look at the conversion process later today.
If Notch would implement an Modding API interface, that would prevent Mods from overlapping or showing what mods conflict with which would be easier, lol seems I will have some time on my hands now and look into it and if I find time I will see what part of the mod Glimmar mentioned conflicts with the other, but do not get your hopes high its not easy reading code that someone else has done and gripping the functionality in it.
I have to say I am in agreement with Triskelli and Tiger4Ruler on this one. It would be nice to customise the music, but unless this could be achieved easily from within the texture pack without an additional mod, it would begin to make the pack confusing and top heavy, putting newcomers off. Let alone the complications of constantly updating everytime Notch does an update. I am more than happy turning off Minecraft's default music and playing appropriate Vernian Process tracks in the background. If someone could come up with a simple mod that needed no maintenance, then I might be interested. As it is, I'm already finding it difficult keeping up and producing something new (by way of textures and art, which is my forte) for the pack. :sad.gif:
So, I don't know if this has been said or not but could make a mirror on any site besides MediaFire? I am one of the hand-full of people that can't get it to work but once a month or so. I have downloaded the version of this pack before the underwater helmet and such and would really like to update.
Hey, CubicMeter! Sorry you're having problems downloading from MediaFire. I better get some sleep now, but I'll make a note to do something about that tomorrow. Any suggestions?
DropBox maybe?
In my opinion its the easiest for the person who's downloading, I don't know how hard it is to upload in the first place or anything though.

Haha! Just been setting up another download link on RapidShare for those like yourself with MediaFire problems. Let me know if this is still a problem.
Got some more done!

And a golden cane sword for the gold sword.
If you want, I can see about posting pictures with each equipped.

Very, very nice, Tlos! I'll bump them to the top and when Tiger4Ruler is back on, I'm sure he'll pop them on his item sheet. Excellent work as always.
I'm terrible at organising things at the top, and I don't want your work to be spoiled by my inept layout skills when it could look so much better. Would you have time to consolidate all your items into one graphic/sheet? I know it's something I should do myself for you, but currently don't have the time, especially as I'm champing at the bit to be working on the pack.
I think folks would more easily see your work as distinct from others, and it would look less drawn out (my fault entirely!) and more like 'your' collection as it should. I know it makes it more difficult for peeps to copy and drop them onto the item sheet, but I figure if anyone is going to do that, then they're going to be proficient enough to cut what they want from a sheet and paste it in. It might prove easier for you in the long run when it comes to uploading them. Make it look as simple or as decorative as you like (well...don't make it too huge though, lol!:biggrin.gif:). No rush though, and I'll still put your stuff at the top if you haven't the time. :smile.gif:
my game has issues with the bricks glitching they show fire the portal and the brick image any way to fix this also i think the pumpkins error too they show lava and water on them

Try the HD Patcher, first post for information.
Also Glimmer, I'll work on the item sheet right now, I'll edit it into the post when I'm done.
Posting try #4
If you want me to compress it further, I can.
Would have taken me less time, but my art program (Pixen) keeps darkening everything every time I combined layers, so I had to keep it in layers. Those seemed to disappear, however. Lucky me.

Hi legion. Yes, those are all symptoms of not using the HD (or MC) Patcher. Link and instructions for use are on the first page of this thread. These graphical glitches happen to all HD texture packs and the solution is the correct application of xau's Patcher. Once you've applied that, everything will be as you see in my pics, including custom water and lava, that is until Notch decides to update again! Lol! Have fun. :smile.gif:

Wow! Your quick too! That's brilliant, but in my quest to tighten things up at the top, I've overlooked how each of the items would be clearly labelled. Any suggestions? Really don't want to cause you any more work than necessary. :sad.gif:
I could try expanding them into a more organized sheet. Let me try now.
Edit: Here we are
It's a bit crowded though, just tell me if you want any changes.

Excellent! They just look more like a collection now. If you want to give yourself more of a heading sometime, feel free eg ' Tlos's Steampunk Emporium' or 'Tlos's Weapon Shop', etc . Many thanks for this. Who knows we could end up with a kind of Victorian shopping arcade feel to the top, if I can get others to do the same! :smile.gif:
I'm struggling with a pig (mob) at the moment, trying to work out how this thing's skin wraps around it's shape! Gah!!

I know SkinEdit has support for a few mobs if you like using it... I don't know if it'll help you though... Just scroll down until you get to the Backgrounds part.
I know how you feel about them, its annoying, if SkinEdit doesn't help you can always just put a colored dot on each section that you think is right, then load up the skin with dots and see how off you were :smile.gif:
I'm currently trying to turn a pig into a dragon.... Its hard.

I used SkinEdit for the first time at the beginning of 2010, but not since. I've been promising myself a nice new suit for this theme so I think I'll have a stroll on down soon. Didn't know it was possible to use it for some mobs too! Many thanks, athdaraxen, that's very kind of you! :smile.gif:
Here's what I've got so far:
Just the head as a sneak peek (looks a bit gruesome like this). It's based on an old English Tamworth pig, domesticated, but still retaining some wild boar like features. Here's a nice little piglet version:
Not sure how it will work out though. At least it's a start and it's giving me a feel for the uphill struggle ahead! :sad.gif:
Its so cute (the piglet)! I really hope it works out well for you. If you are successful I will be sad every time I kill one...
I'm sure you can pull it off though! It definitely looks a lot like a pig from what I can tell! (I really like how you did the ears, very pig-ish!)
I'm about to begin on my piggy... It's gonna be turned into a blue dragon (probably a western-type)... I was originally was gonna make it a boar but everybody wanted to ride a dragon so I am now make drapiggies! (Name in Works...)
EDIT:
Here Glimmer! Since you were nice enough to show me a little preview, here's one of my own. A rough idea of the dragon pigs!
I'm still working on it's scales and face... It does have wings and a tail though! (I haven't even posted this on my own thread yet! :biggrin.gif: )
