I believe the "mob vision" he mentioned is for the planned spectator mode. On top of Creative, Survival, and Adventure mode, Mojang is adding a Spectator mode, where the player cannot be seen by other players, cannot interact with blocks, has the ability to walk through walls, the floor, etc., and can "posses" mobs, seeing the world from the mobs point of view. Several mobs have unique filters that are applied, such as Spiders having octuple vision (and being able to see more above and to the side), Creepers getting a green filter, and Endermen having inverted colors (at least, I believe that's what they get. I haven't checked in a few snapshots, so it may have changed).
That said, I don't think the mob possession filter is something normally controlled by the resource packs, although I may be mistaken. I may also be mistaken as for what he meant by "mob vision". Not entirely sure.
Well that was the only thing that sprang to mind, but as far as I remember, and you confirm it too, that the new HUDS are hard-coded filters at the moment. Perhaps Mojang might make them editable textures sometime, which will add some interesting possibilities, but might be a bit of task to make each screen work well...it took me an age to construct a believable diving helm interior!
Up until a week or two ago, I didn't see any change to the Mob filters, but haven't read anything recently, so thought it might be something new. Always get a bit jumpy if it means a lot of work, or the update has appeared out of nowhere!
So I've stumbled upon this beauty and thought I should post it here for some inspiration:
Too bad they weren't using your pack for this build, Glimmar. Would be even more epic!
It is indeed an epic build! It reminds me I need to be a little more 'vertical' in my own builds.
Haha, I'm not so sure I can compete with John Smith. His pack works just as well for steampunk as it does for medieval themes, so it's perfect for those rustic/fantasy scenes.
I recently went on a little trek around my world to try and locate the enderportal dungeon in my world, and when I tried to return to my base, I discovered, much to my dismay, that while the compass in your texture pack looks very nice, due to the needle's limited range of movement, it actually isn't much use as a compass, and at times is even actively misleading.
Hey Glim, I am wanting to create my own resource pack that is a combination of other packs for my own personal use. What would I have to import from this pack to keep the ctm for certain blocks and to not import the animation on others?
Just wondering if anyone is interested in skin support for Pam's Harvestcraft?
I'm sure that Glimmar would be more than happy to include your retextures for mod support. If you hadn't seen yet, we've decided to switch to a slightly different format for distributing the mod textures, whereby each person who is making textures gets their own "storefront" on the OP under the Mod section. Just post the files on some file-hosting site (with everything properly formatted for easy installation), and provide a link and a banner. Glim should be able to add it to the first post with the rest of them.
Oh, and I must say, those textures look quite nice. If I ever start playing with Harvestcraft, I'll be sure to try your retextures out. I just recently started playing with the TechWorld mod pack from FtB, and I don't believe it includes Harvestcraft, but I may end up switching to a different mod pack shortly, just to try out all the different choices.

I thought i'd show a little icon I made for a Skype group I'm in,
it's not exactly a MC icon though. Only part that is kinda a MC
block is the one in the center. (I'll remove the textures if I
shouldn't use it)

Thanks for the heads-up, right now I am working on modding for another game, but harvestcaft support (at least for Mc1.2.5) is slowly being rolled out. The seeds for Harvestcraft however can be used for other mods as long as they are appropriate.
These are a few pics of initial slime ideas, as mentioned in the post above. Based on the leaded stained glass window frames, my idea is to use the transparent nature of the slime block to create a unique girder style version. Alts aplenty can stem from this, including versions that look a little more technical with springs and the like. As they will be based on the stained glass, possibilities are even more endless.
I think animation might be a little overpowering at this stage for something that might be used enmasse, but we'll see. I just want to keep things simple to start with, as I'm also contending with texturing new and old stone, including new ores. At this rate though all of this will take a long time, as I hate doin' massive amounts of ctm.
Rest of the pics? Click the spoiler button.
...and a funny one to end on... 'Slime Pad Blocks'!
After Rosestorm's suggestion about inflated airbags as per airship use, I couldn't get the idea of bouncing around on the top of an airship out of my head! So I'm currently working this minute on just such a thing. A good candidate for some simple random ctm too. As soon as I have something to show I let you see it.
I'm still intending to update very soon to GS v.15 with fixes and the new spawn_eggs, hence why the title of this post is GSv.16. v16 will only come out after MC updates to 1.8 and given the slow nature of work at the moment I might update in stages, as and when I get each bit of stonework done. I really don't want to keep you all waiting as long as you did for 1.7.
Let me know what you think of the above, including any suggestions. No swearing or vomiting please!
I hope you don't mind if I copy your idea of using one of the stained glasses as metal girders. Not the textures, of course. Just the idea
Has anyone begun working on a Biomes O' Plenty texture mod? I've been working on one for my own personal use and it's about half done, I might finish it if anyone is interested.

I love these skins. Have you done any more on them?

I'm not sure if anyone has done Biomes O' Plenty. I don't think I've seen any. Feel free to share your mix, we can always use more people making mod remixes, and Glimmar would be glad to add your work on the Mod section of the first post. That said, be sure to follow the rules (only use textures supplied by Glimmar, other mod retextures submitted here, and original work, no borrowing textures from other texture packs). I'd love to see some Biomes O' Plenty textures, as I've been trying to get back into modded Minecraft, but it's not quite the same with 16x vanilla textures interspersed in the world of 32/64x Steampunk.

Was that directed at me, or the person I was replying to? I haven't done any texture work in quite some time, and I can't speak for SunWukong and his progress.

Curse PremiumMany thanks, Beatz75...very kind of you to say!
That's probably the best clockwork bee anim I've seen at that scale. Awesome!
As I haven't been able to do anything on the pack for the past two weeks, it's good to see something inspirational...however small.
The Higurashi kids hate griefers...so do I.
