You wouldn't happen to have found a script for reassembling the individual 64x tiles back onto the sheet in grid formation, would you?
Nope, i don't think there is one. But if you save the .xcf you won't have to worry too much about that. Alternately, you can do it fairly easily manually if you use the snap to grid function and configure the grid to 64x64. That way you can just drag and drop each tile without worrying about aligning each tile perfectly, because it aligns them for you.

Ah! That's a pity.
Haha! Now the 'snap to grid' function is something I do know about...hooray! I've probably flicked that on and off a few billion times in the past 3 years. Haven't found a shortcut key for it though, which is a real pain. I'm still on Gimp 2.6.11, not the latest of course. At the time the current version came out I was in the middle of an MC update and I couldn't get used to the new format to work comfortably. Since which I've never had time to tinker with it. As you can tell, too set in my ways!
You use Gimp? I could never be bothered to figure out how it works.
Against all odds, I use Photoshop.
Kind of the other way around for me. I've used Gimp ever since it came out and long before I could justify forking out for Photoshop. So Gimp feels comfortable...well the 1.6 version...and I mostly use Photoshop for photography and the odd things I can't do in Gimp. I can't seem to find the time or enthusiasm to explore Photoshop's depths. It's all down to what we get used to in the beginning...the reason why companies like to get us interested in things when we're starting out!
This is just amazing! I was speechless on your last plants preview
As a side note - when editing the default signature as new user, editing area is by default in "fancy" mode, so to paste the banner I had to click "toggle editing mode" button (the top left one).
Without it the banner code is pasted as text and result in just the code displayed in signature as in 2508tobias' post a few ones above mine.
Glimmar you can consider adding the step in your first post

Oh..yes! Thanks for the heads-up, just editing it now...thanks. It's a long time since I checked it out and the forums have changed a few times since it first went up. Also, welcome to the forums and thank you for choosing to display my sig. banner.
Glad you like the plants and thanks for saying. I did a few more ferns last night and about 20 odd tall grass types so far today. Balancing the colors with the old 32x grass is slightly problematical, but I don't want to have to take even more time out to work on new 64x grass and grass edges until v14 is out the door. Along with 64x dirt and stone it will be a big job worthy of it's own update.
I'm also not too happy with the way Minecraft mipmapping, even at low levels, adds a cartoon black line around all plants at distance, especially when viewed from above.

I wish you'd release what you've done so far...
Would make it easier for my texturing, and for playing 1.7 without those horrible default wood and glass textures popping up.
If not, any chance of an ETA?

All I can say is it will be coming as soon as I finish up on the new plants. The stained glass will be a basic GS glass version to start with. The real work on it will come after I've updated, so don't expect miracles from the glass, but it should be at least nicer than vanilla. I had also hoped Mojang would have seen sense and restored the back faces to stained glass, but it looks like that isn't happening.
All the old plants have now been been replaced by 64x textures, of which there are a lot of random ctm versions, but the more there is the more tweaking it takes to get each to look natural in their respective settings. Having put so much effort into making some of the new biomes attractive places to build and wander, I didn't want to 'spoil the ship for a penny worth of tar'.
Also, I had rather hoped Mojang would have fixed the reverse texture problem as that's spoiling the look of a lot of effort so far.

can you ??
I hope really I hope plz
because I'm now stuck to the 1.6.4 update cause I can't play with 1.7 and ugly default the most thing I hate is the grass it dosen't feel right at all
again thanks and best of luck for you

Hey glimmar just wanted to say this is one of my favorite texture(resource)packs and that seeing minecraft through a steampunk lens is just amazing keep the good work up!

Might have some pics of rose bushes later.
Besides making the textures, leaves can be quite fiddly to get a number of ctm versions that look believable. It's getting the same range of plants to look right in different biomes and against different colours of grass. The flowers are unaffected by biome grass color, so it can be a bit tricky and can look neon bright in one biome and dull in another. Things like grass and ferns which are influenced by biome color can also look just plain weird if the texture color isn't right.
Also real life is very busy too.
[edit] just read my post back and had to laugh at the nonsense I wrote. duly edited, but it probably isn't much better. Just too tired to see straight!

Just been thinking about what you could do about the bland xp orbs (it's not your fault. It's just the design).
Bookcases are filing cabinets.
Enchanting tables let you improve equipment.
Therefore;
Bookcases should be filled with blueprints that fly into the enchanting table.
Enchanting table book should be full of blueprints.
XP orbs should be parts like gears, pipes, bits of metal and those weird glass tube thingys. Most mobs are mechanical and would make sense.
Basically, more blueprints (from more filing cabinet bookcases) and more parts would help you make your equipment better by adding new features to them using parts and knowledge (from the blueprints)
Howdy, mate.
I keep meaning to do something different, always did, ever since you first suggested it ages and ages ago. At least I remember it was you, Deepblue.
It's already been done a couple of times though, but the idea is open to interpretation and the parts that fly out the bookcase drawers would have something to do with it. Unfortunately it's just not the area I'm working in. I'm currently up to my ears in petals at the moment and will be for some time, petals and eventually some stained glass! I've been working on the pack most of the day, so I'm about to have a break, before I pop!
.....GS v14 64x Rosepops, Dandibushes and Tall Grass!
...and even more plant variety in ferns and desert plants and now quite a few rose bush varieties too:
Rest of the pics? Click the spoiler button.
Red rosebushes replace red poppies still, until I get time to make a set of random ctm poppies for those who wish things to closely follow the standard MC types. I just think rosebushes are little more useful in the more formal classical settings of this pack's theme...they also look a lot nicer in pots IMHO.
Yellow rosebushes instead of dandelions are also a shortcut alt that users can swap out of the game later when I get time to make a set of random ctm dandelions.
So I hope that's of interest to all five of my remaining users!
I'm back! How long has it been since I last posted in this thread? Don't worry, Glimmar, I'm still a huge fan of your creation. RL has been getting in the way of me having time even to post on forums, lately. Honestly, I don't know how you manage it...
For you Glimmar! Just wanted to reaffirm my thanks for the massive amount of work you do in keeping this totally amazing pack going. It's a stalwart for me that keeps me playing Minecraft!
I may sometimes dabble with mods and other texpacks but my main world that's been going since I bought Minecraft in Beta is Vanilla survival with your texture pack and it's the one I always go back to time and again. Thank you for providing me with so much enjoyment! Keep up the good work! Kudos as well the the people that help with the mod support!

Hiya, mate.
I'm not sure how I manage it too! I guess it's a combination of never sleeping, because with work occupying daylight hours and evenings and weekends taken up by family matters, to be honest I'm not sure where the little time I have for MC comes from! It's a complete mystery. :/

Many thanks, Diggah! Glad to know the old pack has continued to provide some extra pleasure from Minecraft.
It's also nice to have the company of a pre-release Minecrafter. Oh! I remember those days, when we had to use all of our imagination...these days these young 'ens don't know they're born with ctm this and ctm that!
