Just wanted to say thank you for the awesome texture/resource pack, Glimmar! I have been using it for a few months now, and quite frankly, it rocks! (only just registered an account on here, otherwise I would be giving praise sooner )
This is by far the BEST texture/resource pack I have ever seen.
I am in LOVE and at a loss of words to express myself!
Thank you!

I hope someone can help me with this, I have mostly figured out how to use the Glimmar Alt download, but I am having trouble getting rid of the friezes and the yellow tile from the purple and yellow blocks respectively, can anyone help me out?
In the resource pack there is a folder called mcpatcher. In that folder you will find another folder called ctm. In the ctm folder go into another folder called GlimStainedClay. The files for the stained clay that you want to change are in there.
ksheep, vermilliontwilight, and anyone else that does mod support,
with FTB seeming less likely to update FTB Ultimate to now 1.6.2, has anyone done any work toward updating the mod support textures for 1.5.x packs like FTB Unleashed or Unhinged? Some big mods like railcraft, buildcraft, and forestry are now out for 1.6.2. I was going to start working on converting some old texture sheets to the new format for personal use, but wanted to check if anyone had already started to do so before I got to deep into it.
Also, has anyone done any work on support for millenaire? I know some of the cultures are supposed to be medieval, but I think it would be interesting to see steampunked versions. Anyways, I thought I'd check what some of you guys were up to before I covered any of the same ground.

I haven't had a chance to do anything for modding in some time, due to RL commitments (haven't even had time to play Minecraft in over a month), so I'm a bit out of the loop for FtB/Tekkit news. However, I haven't heard anyone talking about any progress on mod textures in some time, so you should be clear there.
As for Millinaire support, I believe SunWukong or someone else had done some initial textures a while back, which I think I added to the latest mod pack, but I can't quite recall.
Also, I'm thinking of handing over the reigns for overseeing the mod textures to someone else, if anyone is interested. I've just been far too busy as of late (average of 70 hour work weeks, school starting up soon), so I really don't have much time to juggle this as well. Anyone want to take that over for me?
Glimmar, I hope you don't mind me asking: But in the next update you do, is it at all possible you could start updating the textures that are still 32x and not 64x?
Thanks.
He's been doing just that. It's a very slow and involved process. Don't worry the remaining textures will eventually be updated.
First off thank you this pack is pretty amazing. I do have a question, am I doing something wrong? I ask cause I don't have any of the spinning wheels or cogs that you have in your video's. I have mcpatcher and all the stuff you required for the pack, but I don't seem to have all the stuff available that you have in your videos. Thank you!

Most of the spinning wheels and cogs are animated paintings. Just keep placing and destroying them until you get the right ones.
Both before and now on my return from distant climes, I've been having great problems with my email accounts, email notifications from various websites and subscriptions, including MC Forums and my preferred email manager...plus my main PC is on the blink! All not very conducive to making new things, or remotely following what's been going on!
However, I do have a few new things and bugfixes for the next update of the pack. I've also been taking the opportunity to work on my Newglim world while away, so you could say I've been exploring the real and imaginary world all summer! I intend to bore you all (if anyone's still interested) with a few pics and vids of the new stuff I've been building.
As I've not been getting emails, I will have to go back through all the posts here since last updating and do my best to catch up.
Don't expect me to be on frequently though, as I've lots of RL work to catch up on, but I'll do my best to get another update out soon (and try to update a little more regularly) and also answer questions.
Anyone else having Mcpatcher issues while playing in offline mode? My problem is that all the Mcpatcher patches aren't on when in offline mode. Here is a picture to better explain.

As you can see ctm is clearly not working.
I've not had that problem, but yesterday, from clicking the MC launch icon through to finally getting into my world, it was taking nearly 5 mins! It's never been lighting fast, but yesterday was a real grind. Haven't tried it again today yet. Also with not getting emails through from the various threads I'm subscribed to, I'm not up-to-date with MCPatcher stuff. It might be worth asking over there...I'll have a look this morning, though I don't recall reading about any issues when I glanced through a while back.
Although the new MC launcher version number seems to be the same, I do wonder if little changes Mojang make from time to time interfere with MCPatcher properly initializing. Though I'm not suggesting that's what might be happening in your case, mate.
I'm also not using the very latest MC Patcher, I'm still on 4.1.1. Once I get a stable working environment (along with the TMI mod) I hate to change things, so I can't accurately test. I'll try offline mode with my setup and see what happens.
Welcome back Glimmar, since it seems that 1.7 is still a ways off, what are the plans for the next update? I remember you saying that you wanted to do the iron block upres next I think.

When I've had the chance (due to laptop limitations on my travels) I've just been pottering around my city digging out more channels, docks, roads and trying out various building projects with the new clay bricks and such. Consequently it spurred me into making new 64x vines, reeds and ctm cobble...a strange combination I admit, but some of the features I worked on involved using a lot of those elements and it didn't look right with the old textures! I'll put up some pics and a vid as soon as I get the chance.
I glanced at the rumors of what's in 1.7, including the 'disco mountains'! Disco mountains might well be a problem and it might be necessary to change the texture slightly on certain hardened clay colors if they're not going to look completely ridiculous. Or I could just not worry about it at all and see what vast layers of bricks on a mountainside look like...might look like the foundations of a lost civilization, an abandoned factory complex to raid for supplies, or a mess! Marble-like versions of my hardened clays should look ok. The only ones that would give cause for concern would be the purple mosaic, carved stones and the marble frieze textures...they'd look a little outlandish...and I've been doing a lot of building with those. Curse you Mojang! [shakes fist]
Although I like making steampunky, industrial style versions of Minecraft textures, I still like things to look reasonably ok for survival mode. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how things look and take advice from you guys.
Yep! I think I'll upgrade that iron block to 64x before the next mini-update, and to something that fits better with the new 'box girder'. It will still be black cast iron with diagonal cross struts though.
I'm hoping to update long before Mojang does this time...if my errant PC can be kicked into line and Curse/Forge doesn't cough and splutter over it. So more frequent smaller updates, but still worthy of a download.
I am in LOVE and at a loss of words to express myself!
