I already did that one. It's on the far left side of the railcraft.png sheet.
Fortunately, the server I play on went down for maintenance, so I had time to work on the textures. I'm gonna overhaul most of the textures when FTB Ultimate updates to 1.5 and all the textures become single icons.
railcraft/client/textures/railcraft.png
railcraft/client/textures/machines.png (with alternate textures for the Blast Furnace. New Steam Oven looks pro.)
railcraft/client/textures/containers.png (replaces the old Liquids.png)
advsolar/adv_items.png
gregtechmod/textures/metaitems/materials.png
These are the only GregTech textures that are finished. The others have 2 or 3 vanilla textures still in them.
Hello, I have been using your pack for awhile now and have to say that it is awesome! Thank you for making it available. I was using the pre 1.5 test pack, but have since updated to the lastest version and I have a few textures still missing. One is the sides of pumpkins, another is the moving water texture and lastly the sides of the furnaces. I dont know if there is something I need to do on my end or if you just havent gotten to them yet, but I thought I'd give you a heads up in case something was wrong. I did install them with mc patcher and everything else looks great. Thanks again for the great texture pack!

Those textures should be there, and should be working. They're working with the version I downloaded. I'd suggest checking to see if they're in the texture pack folder (unzip it and look for the relevant texture files). If they aren't there, try downloading again and see if that fixes it. Alternatively, you could try selecting a different pack (even vanilla) and switching back to this to see if it just didn't load it properly (I know there's some way to force it to update while playing, but I can't recall what it is ATM).
Hey, I've been working on the block sheet for redpower, I wanted the Marble brick and basalt brick to fit better with Glimmar's smooth stone bricks. But when I upscaled to 64x from 32x, all the textures from that sheet are now missing. This has happened before when I was working on the electrical engine from forestry and the archivist villager from mystcraft, but eventually it resolved itself after restarting a couple of times. But in this case, that hasn't helped. If I switch to default and switch back to Glimmar's then the default textures from the redpower sheet remain. Is there something about the redpower textures that I'm not considering?
Edit: I just tried reopening the .png file, and photoshop says it cannot parse the file. apparently I saved it incorrectly or something.
Edit 2: Luckily I had a .psd of it saved as well, so I could open that file, resave the .png and chose non-interlaced, and it worked great. Well, I think my new marble brick texture still needs work, but at least I figured out the problem.
Hello Glimmar,
I've over heard some people saying that your good at textures. I was wondering could you please, mighty please make a Flint lock pistol and a cutlass (Sword) just like the ones in the picture below (The cutlass and the pistol are in his hands) , thanks
I've been a fan and a long time user of this texture pack, back since beta. Just wanted to say thank you for all the great work, the steady updates and fantasitc style you've given my minecraft worlds.
I have one question: I noticed with version 11.1 that the clock and its animation are still appearing as the original vanilla graphic.
All other animated textures appear correctly (lava, water, OMG THE NIGHT SKY IS GORGEOUS!!)
so i think i've patched the graphics correctly.
Is the clock graphic/animation just one that you haven't been able to update yet or do you believe its something wonky on my end?

The way the clock and compass work both changed with the 1.5 update of Minecraft, and Glimmar has not had a chance to create new textures that work with them. One of the users here donated a placeholder compass animation, which Glimmar is utilizing in the meantime, but there have not as of yet been any new clock textures that I know of.

I noticed this while sifting through the files. Before it was 1 graphic for the clock's body and another for the face. Now its a strip of graphics like the fire, etc...
I did notice he updated it to the new format, but not the image itself.
No worries, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
Again, my gratitude and appreciation for this awesome texture pack!
It's been two weeks since Glimmar has posted anything, and it doesn't look like he mentioned taking time off due to RL stuff. Is it time to start worrying yet?

I figured as much, but he does usually give us some sort of heads up when he goes on hiatus for more than a week or so…
Don't worry, sheep. You'd be the first to know if I was planning on disappearing or giving up.
Easter break was extremely busy for me from a RL point of view. I had other projects to work on and work to catch up with. My wife also had planned surgery on her hand/wrist, and apart from ferrying her around more than usual to work and such after the op, I've also had to take over the majority of household chores on top of my work and taxiing my youngest back and forth to special school and sons back to college and uni. So life just got pretty hectic and something had to give...any and all leisure time went out the window!
I eventually got into some kind of routine that allowed for a little quiet time, but I had a hard time rustling up the enthusiasm to start texturing again. I think the 1.5 update really took it's toll and starting things up again is feeling like hard work rather than fun. Only a temporary aberration I'm sure, but it's very frustrating, especially as there is so much to do! I don't lack for ideas...just energy. Before my wife's op I managed a few evening forays into 'Dishonored', which was very enjoyable, but ultimately frustrating, because it constantly reminded me of my steampunk pack duties! I am definitely cursed or addicted!
In trying to kickstart my enthusiasm, I've approached things in a bit of a roundabout way by photographing/painting some cloudy skies for a possible 'betterskies' daytime skybox set. However, not getting enough sleep has made it a very frustrating week figuring out bettersky screen blend modes, timing and such, to get something that was worth putting alongside my starfield night sky... I'm really not very good when it comes to the technical side of digital artwork. Stomping off to vegetate in front of the TV was all I had to show for it for a few nights! I think I'm making some progress now, including getting a little more enthused at the results, but I still have very little time in which to texture. I'm also an old school style of artist, in that it takes an age for me to get into the mood to create something new, so half an hour break to sit at the PC every so often, is next to useless...other than to check any urgent emails! Whinge, whinge, whinge ...and I'm not even the one with a painful hand/arm!
So...I must apologize for any lack of progress in all areas, including any 32x work :(, though I hope you'll understand my circumstances. I've also had a quick glance back over the past couple of pages at some very nice comments, ideas and requests. It's very encouraging to see things ticking along when I'm not there. When I can, I will reply, but I've only quickly popped in while having a bite to eat and then I'll have to scoot.
I just noticed the first snapshot for 1.6 has landed. In typical fashion, I haven't the time to check it out, but I'd be mighty interested to see any lists of new things that need texturing, if there are any good detectives out there. I found The_Fool 76's list of new textures for MC 1.5 was mighty useful and took a lot of the pressure off searching for all the new things, especially with the confusion of the new pack layout.
The engine's idling at the moment, but not quite run out of fuel! When I think the daytime sky work is ready for showing I'll upload a vid.
Sorry to hear about the increased hecticness, I hope things calm down for you soon. I've been trying to hold the fort here, but there were one or two questions which I wasn't entirely sure how to answer, which I had left for you. Things have also started getting hectic on my side of things, with the end of the semester coming up and finals right around the corner, so I might not be on as much to answer those questions which are asked.
As for the snapshot, I haven't tried it yet, but from what I've heard, it adds a small assortment of new items, the biggest of which being a horse, which appears to have at least a half-dozen different varieties in vanilla, as well as a donkey. There's also a horse saddle, hay bales, leash (to tie animals to posts), horse armor in iron, gold, and diamond, and carpets (which appear to just use the wool textures). Not sure if I missed anything, but that should at least give you some idea of what to expect.
