Oh dear, I'm not sure if things have changed since I last used this pack but was the cake not meant to be animated? Only I remember it being animated. No biggie, just thought I'd point it out.
They're relatively simple to use, if you're capable of opening up a .zip. Full intructions are in the accompanying 'readme' in the downloaded zip file.
Simply by choosing a coloured 'blockRedstone' anim strip, renaming to 'blockRedstone.png' and dropping it into the 'textures/block' folder in the texture pack zip. The .txt file doesn't need changing, as it has the same number of frames of animation. Enjoy trying out different colours...pulsing or non-pulsing animated redstone power!

Haha! No, it's never been animated, but I've been talking about upgrading the texture and adding animated features for an age now...same as the bed. The work keeps getting smothered by other exciting Minecraft updates.
Here is an updated post for texture edits for my thread, Asikar's Airships.
Just save these to your computer rename them what i have then named here, open the pack in winzip, 7zip, or whatever else you use, go into the textures section, open the blocks folder and drag them into the the folder. when it asks if you want to replace the existing textures, replace them.

Nice variations, asikar.
I keep meaning to try out a more amber looking gaslamp/torch. It will be a good enough reason to make some changes though when I upscale to 64x.
Upscale? I'd say do a hybrid! That's what I'm doing lately with Romecraft (16x/32x hybrid) - Makes for an interesting look, while still maintaining the minecraft theme. Also, excellent work as always Glimmar. I am still jealous of your ability.

Hello again, my good friend! It's very good to have you visit again.
Mmm. 'Hybrid'? Well, in all honesty, that's what my 64x pack currently is, and calling it such would certainly be a more accurate description...I like it! I'm seriously going to think about the pros and cons regarding this. 'Hybrid' also conjures up just the right mood for my fantastical retro sci-fi theme pack. Thanks, StugAce.
Anyways, how's your restoration and museum work coming along?
shadowdragon1636 on Youtube had a brilliant idea recently, regarding enchanting my pumpkin diving helm to allow respiration underwater in survival mode. I couldn't achieve this myself as I'm not overly familiar with enchanting stuff, but another alternative method, which I actually think is a little better for roleplay, is to make 'water breathing' potions, rename them to 'oxygen tanks' and carry a supply for diving tasks. It certainly added a nice sense of realism for me in 'survival' mode.
If anyone can explain how respiration enchantment is added to the Pumpkin Diving Helm, then I'll add the description to the Diving Helm section in the OP.

Very well! Been there for 2 1/2 years now (about as long as I've done Romecraft actually, haha) and lots has been done to preserve and restore. Fresh paint all around and some new welded plates. Fun stuff!
As with hybrid texture packs, my armor has always been 32x32. I recently transferred that idea to decorative blocks and objects that would be more "precise" so to speak, such as rounded door handles on doors, neater grating for windows, etc. I still however make the textures have the -feel- of a 16x16.
Here's an example with my new columns. The only thing I did was make my bottom shadowing and top lightening in 32x32, with the rest still using 16x16 pixels. Makes for a much neater column structure, so that the blocks actually look like column segments butted up to each other, while still looking like minecraft.

In Creative mode, it's simple. First, get a pumpkin, an anvil, and a respiration enchanted book from the creative inventory. Place the anvil down and right-click it to open the GUI. Put the pumpkin in the first slot and the enchanted book in the second slot. You can also rename it at this point to something like "diving helmet" if you want. Finally, take the enchanted pumpkin/diving helmet out of the anvil's "finished product" slot.I'm not sure if you can do this in survival. You might be able to, but you'd have to craft the anvil and enchant the book yourself, and that can be a pain.

These look great! If I may, I would suggest making matching colors for the redstone itself too. I think it would add a little more of a "grimy" look and feel to it with the green and a more "magical" sense with the blue.

I had the same idea, except I thought of doing it using mcedit filters to make the respiration be high enough to make you breath underwater with it. You can do it with respiration III if you use a enchantment book in an anvil on a pumpkin, but you can only do it in creative.

I know TMI has a custom enchantment section. I tried it on a pumpkin and i put Reparation 10 and aqua affinity 10 on the pumpkin and it worked for me. i didn't time it but i assume you could last for about 5 minutes underwater.
Glimmar I want to have your babies! I know that'd be kinda hard seeing as I'm a bloke but hey science is a wonderful thing nowadays.
But truly excellent job mate! The day you decide to walk away from this pack is the day I stop playing Minecraft (though I know you have a life and it is inevitable...no pressure though huh ) I couldn't play it anymore without this pack. As always well worth the wait for the update of this pack. You and the others here that support the mod textures do such an amazing job. Thank you thank you!
Great vid! I'm pretty sure parts of that vid show Whitby, North Yorkshire, where we've holidayed quite a few times. Great coastal walks, history, and fossil hunting! I bet I'm wrong after saying all that.
I look forward to seeing what you do with the green cast iron (quartz).

i believe someone on pmc ripped off your texture pack here :http://www.planetmin...unk-2013-style/ btw i love the pack and thank you so much for making it!
Well that guy sure put in a wonderful description for a pack that is clearly not his! Almost made it believable... almost. Glimmar I dont know how you can be so cordial with these people all the time! It feels like every time I check this thread someone else has stolen it!

There's not much anyone can do in situations like that. Anyone with the knowledge on how to open a file can take any picture in a texture pack and call it their own.

Curse PremiumMore specifically, I made lots of alternative coloured animated redstone blocks, some of which I've given a slow energy 'pulse'.
Here's what some of them look like:
