Well, that was a long holiday! Only managed a quick bit of washing up in the kitchen to calm down.
Thanks, lynchyinc. I much appreciate your apology. I'm not casting spurious accusations about the adfly link, I was pretty sure one was there, but I accept what you say and I was probably seeing so much red at that point I was ready to see the worst possible.
I'm not quite sure how you'd mix up my moon phases with Tobiwankenobi's version though, if you're familiar with his or my pack. However, the matter seems settled as far as I'm concerned. It's actually pretty decent of you to come here and say what you have and also in your PM to me on Planet Minecraft...thank you! It also makes me rest a little easier regarding Planet Minecraft again.
It just enforces in my mind why I'm so guarded about textures being borrowed, it might sound mean of me, but when they are so casually abandoned and picked up by others and passed along, the original artist just doesn't get a look in and it's a great disincentive to make new stuff. Especially when others are praised for something you put hours into perfecting.
I hate this sort of thing...I truly do.
Hunter: I can well understand how your dad must have felt!
asikar: many thanks for spotting that sticky piston and glowstone. I thought it was only the iron door.
Whew...Step away for a day and then this maelstrom hits. As a graphic designer I am dreading the day when I find my work ripped off in such a way. Glad to know it was a mistake and that they are being gracious about it. In today's world, and especially online, it is so easy to get defensive when confronted. I've had several arguments on a couple of sports boards that went on longer than necessary and really chewed me up. It is so easy for people to be really snotty, mostly because of the anonymous nature of the net. It's a breath of fresh air when complete strangers known to each other only by way of screen name and avatar can be respectful and gracious when disagreements occur.
There are many that appreciate your hard work Glimmar. That being said, if some time away allows you to recharge the redstone, we have your current pack to keep us going, we'll be fine.

Many thanks, juliasand1.
There's definitely no point in laboring these things and huge arguments to prove a point, particularly on-line can be very destructive for both parties, especially time-wise, so I am very grateful for Lynchyinc's quick and reasonable response. I guess there's a lot more to worry about in this world than a few pixels, though at the time it seems a very big deal, and I will always be protective of work that cost me a huge amount of time!
Don't worry, I'm plenty aware that there's a lot in my pack that's not worth defending (when I'm being self critical), but it's still my work. There's also a lot in the pack that I'm very satisfied with how it turned out, and when that gets used without permission, credit, etc...well, that's when it's a red rag to a bull I'm afraid!
I do need to stop 'gaffing' so much and take a break, not for a rest though! Mainly because there's so much needs working on for this next update. I'm also reminded of the fact that I said I'd put up my working snapshot version of the pack, then you and others would have a better chance to brain storm how some of the textures could be used. I'm pretty focused on what I want to do, as I carry a sketch book with me when I'm working, so I can jot ideas down as they form, but I'm always open to being influenced by neat ideas that make each block really useful for construction purposes.

Hello, this is my first post in this thread so let me start by stating the obvious.
Glimmar, your pack is by far the best pack I have ever seen. It is detailed, complete, and absolutley awe inspiring, I particulerly like the mobs. Gives it a kind of "Rise of the machines" feel.

I love your pack, but I also love these mods and seeing the textures from them spoils the immersion.
Naturally, it's your choice, but I would be grateful.
Either way, your pack is amazing, and I commend you on your artistic skill.
EDIT:Wow, If I had posted this a few seconds earlier...
I'm not gone quite just yet, Triton37. Just having my lunch and perusing stuff online.
Thanks for those kind words. I'm also completely in agreement with you that Balkan's weapons mod compliments this pack and vice versa. I'm sure it's mostly already been covered in my Mod Support section in my OP. ksheep and others here may be able to help. I find it difficult to keep the pack updated and cover complimentary mods, but there are some awfully kind and talented users around here who have submitted plenty of excellent textures. asikar, who builds incredible airships has just recently made some weapon textures and he's familiar with Tlos's excellent weapon textures. I'm also intending upgrading all my weapons to 64x at some point, and if I'm on a roll doing that, I may see about extending it to some alt weapons that might cover Balkan's Weapons mod.
I watched the Bats mod, but didn't get a chance to download and look what textures are needed to support it, but I bet someone around here might be able to do something to fit my bat mob, but they'd have to be interested in it first I guess.
*****************************************
On the subject of mods in general. I am aware that all those who have been uploading mod support textures here, based on and using my alt textures, aren't really getting the credit they deserve in my Mod Support section or my OP. I hope to do something more noticeable up there, but I'll probably need to rely on ksheep to feed me a list of contributors and mods covered...sorry sheep!
Triton, for the Balkon's WeaponMod, we do have some support already in the user-made mod support, as Glimmar said. I'm not sure if it's up to date, however, as it was based on the 1.2.5 version of the mod. You can find it in the "Older Mod Support" folder in the downloads. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone has covered the Pet Bats mod yet.
Glim, I believe there is a credits file in the download as well. Fairly sure it's up to date. I could also post it here if you'd prefer, for convenience.
So I'm running v10 with last week's snapshot, and the zombies textures are mostly messed up with faces on the back sides of legs. Some are missing arms or sides of heads. Any ideas on how to fix this on my end?
asikar: many thanks for spotting that sticky piston and glowstone. I thought it was only the iron door.
Much obliged, I've spent long hours editing and re-editing, perusing the alts section for just the right texture for my ships to know one of your textures. I have a post here on this thread with textures for my ships that way everybody's happy and there in no undue fuss.

I hate to drop this on you glim, but there's another pack stealing your textures. Though they've editted them a tiny bit, it's painfully obvious that they're yours. I found these before christmas, but you were all depressed so I planned on waiting... then forgot.
They're not the block textures this time (Already checked and double checked), but the item textures. Found in the Last Days texture pack.
Items taken:
Diamond Pickaxe
Diamond, Iron, Gold and Stone shovels.
Sugar Cane.
He knows about that. Im fairly sure he let them. this was mentioned a while back.
EDIT: Line 8
Special Thanks!
1. DOKU! for starting an amazing pack! 2. History! for continuing Last Days! 3. Halphprice for the soundpack and plenty of help+alts! Big thanks! 4. luna_panshiel for providing a complete set of music to fit the theme. 5. ScoutTactical for providing the concept and stylistic foundation for wool blocks. 6. Dying Breed for adding battle towers mod support. 7. Orange_Anything for making the sounds for the chicken, zombie, cow, and pig. 8. Glimmar for allowing his wonderful item sprites to be used as placeholders. 9. Nairagorn for providing Humans + support 10. Dereksmith for making signature banners 11. Sealystar for making a few awesome textures for the terrain.png 12. Farty16 for providing the screen for night vision and making the website. & and every one who has made suggestions or donated
And from another line of the post under the non adfly download: * This version of the pack has a few (1 or 2) item placeholders by Glimmar and other artists. These items will not be in any future versions of the pack. Glimmar's steampunk which was the source of many placeholders can be found here

Yep. I'm kind of ok with that, but I did think they would have been replaced by now.
This, however, is a completely different kettle of fish. I don't remember giving permission for my texture pack to be used in this way, and it appears it's been going on for some time. No credits for either myself or other artists whose work he is using and asking for donations for his server whilst distributing my artwork...without permission!
Misa isn't credited either, and I'm sure she doesn't allow use of her mobs in this way. If she granted permission I would have expected her to have been credited at the least.
Hey man, just wanted to stop in and say I LOVE your pack and have been using it since 1.2.3. Keep it up man!
Also, maybe you could add a CC noncommercial- no derivs license somewhere visible to minimize stealing.
Glad you like...and thanks for saying. Also welcome!
CC noncommercial-no derivs licence is already in my Legal Section, and along with other clear conditions...has been for some time.

I was just looking in to upload a snapshot version of my pack with the new ghast and cast iron fence as a little sweetener, but it'll be delayed while I PM Melstrome now! This is a total sickener again.
Glimmar's Steampunk 1.5 'Snapshot' Test Pack 64x WIP
This 64x only update is a simple working Glimmar's Steampunk pack for use with MC 1.5 snapshots and for the release of MC 1.5 until v.11 of my pack is ready for uploading. Meaning you shouldn't be left high and dry while you wait for me to catch up with everyone else! Although many of you no doubt would have been able to make it work for yourselves, there are many things that needed changing so that 'everyone' would still be able to continue using the pack.
I've included working versions of my new ghast and cast iron nether fence as a little sweetener too. Not much, I'm sorry, but I've precious little time and there's a lot to work on for a full 1.5 update.
All new blocks, items, guis and new compass and clock are Minecraft defaults, so will obviously stand out as being different, but at least there won't be any glaring invisible missing features. Using this test pack it will also make it easier for anyone to come up with ideas or suggestions to influence what I decide to change the blocks to. I have pretty well formed ideas now, but I'm always open to suggestion.
MC Patcher - important note: My test pack has only been tested to work correctly with MC snapshot 13w04a (I'm currently waiting for TMI to update to snapshot 13w06a before I update my own setup). I would recommend you only use either 'mcpatcher-3.0.0-beta4' or 'mcpatcher-3.0.0-beta6' and keep backups of anything important.
[edit]
I've used this version fine with MC Snapshot 13w07a and the appropriate version of MC Patcher. MC Patcher has problems with 13w09a. Not sure about 13w09b as of 28/02/13.
With the above recommended MC and MC Patcher files, Glimmar's Steampunk seems to work as it did for MC 1.4.7 for me. All animations and ctm, including my extra ctm blocks worked fine. However some gui brass name plates are misaligned due to Mojang moving the position of the gui titles. These will be corrected in my official 1.5 update. Any other glitches will probably be down to some incompatibility...incorrect choice of MC Patcher file, mod, etc., on your set-up, but if something isn't working correctly and you think it could be due to my pack, let me know in my thread.
Barring an occasional sweep for reports and PMs, I'm going offline to concentrate on the official update. How many times have I tried that!
pre 1.5 'Snapshot' Test Pack Changelog Glimmar'sSteampunk pre 1.5 Test Pack 64x WIP
Updated to the new 1.5 texture pack format. This involved breaking the terrain.png and item.png sheets up into individual 'block and 'item' textures. This process was made much easier by The_Fool76 who intially separated all the terrain and item textures for testing and then kahr of 'MC Patcher' who made this process a feature of the patching process. Grateful thanks are also in order to all those offered to help at a time when I seriously contemplated giving up with the prospect of such tedious work.
Even though Minecraft now supports HD textures and animated blocks and items, the pack is still very much dependent on MC Patcher for animating such things as guis and mobs, etc., for 'connected textures' (ctm), and for all those other wonderful graphical features, such as HD font, custom colours, better skies, etc. Glimmar's Steampunk would be a much poorer experience without the services of MC Patcher. So don't forget to patch!
The 'ctm' and 'anim' folders are still in the pack and vitally important if you want the full experience of many extra random and connected textures and extra animated guis and mobs, etc. However, things are named and arranged differently. By comparison with my random way of organising things it feels a lot tidier. Rather than the usual format of texture 'sheets', all ctm textures are now made up of separate individual block textures, thereby following the new format introduced in Minecraft 1.5.
I've removed the old 'alternative textures' folder. To reduce the size of the download. However, I've included a new folder called 'GS alt tile collection'...read on...
All my alternative textures 'sheets' have been cut-up into separate '.png' files ready for easy swapping with terrain or item textures in the pack. You'll find these in the pack in a folder called 'GS alt tile collection'.
Having separate block, item and ctm textures, means it's a lot easier for anyone to swap textures with preferred alternatives from my vast collection including, but not supported by me, textures from other sources.
The best thing to do with this folder, if you are contemplating swapping some of my textures around, is drag it out of the pack, then it's easier to see what's inside. Note which terrain or item texture you wish to change in the 'texture' folder in the pack, then rename the alternative texture of choice and drag it into the 'blocks' or 'items' folders and overwrite the .png file you wish to change.
Note: a lot of the terrain or item textures in the pack are animated, so when you replace these with a single tile .png file, you will obviously lose the original animated version. Perhaps keep a backup 'textures' folder with all the original textures in case you want to swap back. Some animated block textures may have accompanying '.txt' files, which tell Minecraft how to play longer versions of the fire, lava, water and portal animations. If you swap these around you'll need to make sure you either delete the accompanying .txt file or include the .txt file appropriate to the one your changing to.
Many thanks to The_Fool76 for separating all my alt texture sheets into individual .png tiles, thereby preserving Glimmar's sanity!
The natural alternative pumpkin texture is in a separate folder in the 'GS alt tile collection' folder. I've not been able to use ctm to make the natural pumpkin appear like a helmet when worn, making my Diving Helm HUD make sense, so it's up to you to either keep or delete my 'pumpkinblur.png' file in the 'misc' folder in the pack. If you delete it, Minecraft will default to the vanilla internal blurry pumpkin face.
Included a working version of my new ghast. With all the new things that have to be made for 1.5 I probably won't get chance to make some alternates, but my intention is to do so.
Also included is a working version of the 'cast iron look' nether fence. Both fence icons and the held versions were glitching for me. I'm pretty sure this is an MC patcher thing as I've not done anything differently as regards the normal fence and that's glitching too. When I say glitch, I'm referring to the fact that there are missing sides on the fence when held. However, it's fine when you plonk it down.
If you are only just updating to Minecraft 1.5 and using my updated pack for the first time in a while, please refer to the previous Changelogs in the OP on page 1 of this thread.
I love your texture pack so much! Its full of imagination and surprise. I usually judge texture packs by what the villagers look like, and I would have thought negativly towards the fact your pack used humans as villagers, but I was half wrong. The robot villagers took me by surprise, and love it! The zombies also look great, the human looking android scared me when I thought I found a villager in a cave. I also like the variation of similar robot types. I recommend this pack to all my friends! Great work Mr. Glimmar!

There is mod support for a number of the more popular mods, including most of the mods found in Tekkit and Feed the Beast. You can find the download on the first post under the "Mod Support" section. Unfortunately, not all the mods are fully supported yet, and a number of them have out-dated textures, but the community is working on getting everything up to date.

WOOOOOOOOOOW!
My dream's textures!
Hello, Bioshock!
Somebody, pls, say me, is this pack supports BuildCraft, IndustrialCraft, Forestry and RedPower? This is engineer pack! He must support this mods! Please, please! I wanna play with this mechanic world!
