Okay, so I took LB's 32x Iron Ingot and turned and colorized it and compared to the copper ingot in CuZn's.
Here it is step-by-step. The one on the end is CuZn's.
While they're not exact, the shading and shape is the same. That dark line starts to disappear when the ingot is turned and the ingot develops a slight curve from being turned on an unusual angle in comparison to the original ingot. It's just how the pixels arrange after being run through a transform.
EDIT:
Considering you had full access and permission to use Glimmar's textures CuZn, why didn't you recolor the Ingots in the pack instead of going for an unmatching set of ingots of unknown origin?
Hey Glimmar or anyone else dunno if i have not searched enough or what but i was wondering if anyone has a link or if anyone is working on a mod support for IC2 BC thermal expansion and railcraft textures iv used johnsmith for a long time and decided to try this out since i find myself making factories ALOT and i find this texture pack a great addition to my maps due to the textures it gives to my vanilla machines and building looks. And i have to say Glimmar yours and johnsmith r definetly the best texture packs out there for all my MC needs so thanks for taking the time to produce such a great pack!!!!

Search back a few pages and you'll find support done by me and there's a compiled pack in the opening post. Not all of mine is supported at the moment, but I should be done soon. Thermal Expansion and RailCraft should be mostly there, otherwise you'll have to wait.
both buildcraft and railcraft textures rnt working but i got IC2 working was wondering if theres a solution or if anyone else is having this issue dunno if im doing something wrong but iv tried everything i can think to fix them. Also the nuke and the chamber textures rnt showing up dunno if they r done or not so thought id ask.

Which version of Buildcraft and Railcraft are you using? If you're using Tekkit, you'll have to use the textures in the download on the first page, while the version on Feed the Beast uses Vermillion's textures.

Try page 495 of this thread for Thermal Expansion and ExtraBiomes support.
Also page 497 for RailCraft and some of IC2.
These textures will have to be added manually since they're not part of the mod support pack atm. There's a folder directory with each image, simply download the image and make the folders and put them into your glimmar's steampunk pack for them to work.
i download the mods right from the modders so im using latest version of all three.I am guessing thats whts wrong i used the wrongfile. I used the one off the first page cuz i couldnt find vermillion's ill gotry that now ty.
Ok well i was gunna try it but turns out i have no idea what i am doing on creating the folder. I am good with mods but alas i am spoiled by people who zip it up =(.

I see what you mean now. Yes the similarity is incredibly similar and no doubt most likely a recolor of the LB PR ingot. But again, We should make sure if the ingot was made by LB PR or if they also got it from somewhere, although I was under the impression they made their textures.
Guess Glimmar must really be into that FTB huh? Hope he is enjoying his time off and not preoccupied with other stressful stuff.
Can someone please help me compile both the folders for thermal expansion and IC2 or maby a link to where i can learn.Thank you
The easiest thing to do is unzip the mod files and search for the location of the textures. You can then either recreate the files in Glimmar's TP folder (i.e. railcraft/client/textures/(textures sheet here).png), or you can switch out the default texture with the new ones (just replace it with the new textures). Either way works, although the second will make it so any TP that doesn't have something to replace it with will show these textures.

thank you very much man i realy love these textures they go great with my evil genius factories.Ok so i have gotten IC2 and railcraft to work but for some reason i can not get thermal expansion to work at all any suggestions?nvm got it to work thermalexpansion has to be one word in glimmar's TP otherwise it wont work.

This is the earliest version of the starting gold bar that I have. It is in the GIMP format. The only thing different here from the original is I removed the excess background and made it transparent and wiped the mint mark off the bar which made the starting image 127x89 pixels.
At the original time I made the bars you couldn't mix and match material from different mods like you can now so wanted it so that it was noticeable that this was not the minecraft gold bar.
Edit: You will need to do a save as I think to get the image.
Edit2: Corrected URL
Ok so here is a side by side of the LB PR gold bar (left) and CuZn's gold bar (right). (If I shouldnt post the LB PR bar someone let me know, i figured it would be ok for just a while so people could see then I would take it down)
They are both 128 by 128 pixels but CuZn's appears lower res, like it was scaled down. Im not implicating you CuZn, it could be wherever you got it from had several versions. Other than that while they are incredibly similar, I tend to think that CuZn didnt steal it from LB PR. The different tilt and black edges, while you could edit these through photoshop, would be a really messy job and you would lose some of the ingot when you did the tilt. Also the shading on LB PR's is two straight lines two seperate darker textures while CuZn's is two curved lines and a middle grey line. This is based off my own Photoshop experience and I realize you use Gimp CuZn so maybe I am wrong. But it seems like that would be way too much hassle just to cover his tracks, he might as well just ended up doing a simple recolor of Glimmar's ingot unless he just decided to look up a better ingot and picked this one.
I'm sure putting up that one image for critiquing purposes is perfectly fine, just so long as you aren't profiting off it or claiming that it's your own (which you aren't).
As for the differences, I have to agree that there is indeed a fair bit of difference between the two. I think the main thing is that LB is going for photo-realistic, while it looks like CuZn either started with a photo or a photo-realistic drawing of a gold ingot. The fact that most gold ingots come in one of a very few styles easily leads to this confusion, and I agree with CuZn's choice of making it look different due to how metals worked (or didn't, as the case may be) between mods when he started work on it.
Granted, now that most of these mods can use the various metals interchangeably, it would be feasible for us to use ingots modeled off of Glimmar's style to help keep the art consistent, but I could understand why someone might want to use the alternative instead.
Given the evidence, I'd say that CuZn is not guilty of stealing from LB, although it is still up to Glimmar to decide on a policy regarding the use of Creative Commons textures.

This is probably the biggest part of this. There are only so many ways you can make a gold ingot, especially if you are trying to fit the minecraft style AND make it hi-res realistic.
And the different ingots for the mods, yeah I can believe it as well. Heck, I myself looked through different styles of ingot when making the Soul-Forged Steel Ingot for BTW, just didnt want to recolor everything from Glimmar's pack and wanted some new stuff. Of course I just ended up doing the recolor anyway.

So i'll leave everyone with more Forestry mod support.
