Nice video! You had said you wanted the animals to have steampunk parts instead of being just machines or just animals, so why not make ocelots and wolves normal, but the tamed version would be with added parts. you could do the same with the pig. this way everyone gets what they asked for, even you Oh and you are missing alot, these pigs go fast and if you right click you can swap to a weapon while controlling the pig. PvP has never been so much fun.
EDIT: Forgot to mention how much i love the animation on both the nether star, and the paintings! If only i could place paintings on the top and bottom of blocks, Oh and i did notice some animations on the few blocks, where the red pulse was moving to the bottom, Not sure i know what block it was but it looks really good ^.^

I will never understand why paintings have never been made floor and ceiling mountable, nor why we don't have more in the vanilla pack, nor why we always have to take pot luck when placing them...but then I'm not a programmer.
The block with the animated cogs and pulses of redstone energy is the new 'Controller Block'. It was designed to work with redstone dust/pipes in such a way as to appear as if it was working through a program from a punch card roll system. When mojang fix the placement orientation (it currently always faces the same direction) then I can add a top animation showing the revolving barrels. The cog animation was incredibly tedious to do, but in creative it provides a nice little working machine to attach to pipes and things. Which was the intention. I doubt I will ever use it for the purpose for which it was really intended.

Still trying to motor through as quickly as possible, so no useful textual commentary or anything in the vid. As mentioned before if there's anything you can't place, just ask. This has been filmed using my 64x WIP pack, but there are still more 32x textures than 64x in the terrain. The process of change will be slow, bearing in mind the effort that is needed to also work on adding appropriate ctm and animated textures.
Hope you like:

Glad you both like it, I agree with you- but i aswell am also no programmer, and new video
EDIT: Great video, I like the work with the command block. I also like what you did with the portal frames, useing them with fence for piping, It looks good kinda tapering down to the right size.
Lol! having spent nearly a week animating the flippin' thing, you'd think I'd remember what the name of the 'command' block was. Why did I call it the 'controller' block? Same difference I suppose, but sorry 'bout that.
I need your help again Glimmar... Trying to texture some mod blocks using ctm to specify different textures for different sides. If I was texturing a vanilla block I'd have no problem, but I don't know what to name the .properties file in order to overwrite a mod texture.
When I did the mod item, It needed some different parameters. It had a "from" path, and a "to" path, so I could tell it exactly where in the texture pack I wanted it. But blocks don't have that, or at least, I can't find any mention of it in Kahr's posts. They just have the "source" path.
Seriously getting pressed for time now, folks so keeping it brief, here's the next vid:

Best viewed at no greater than 720p. Also, the spinning wheels seem to stutter in these videos...this doesn't happen ingame, the revolution of the wheels is quite smooth, particularly the large wheel. I'm guessing this is due to inconsistency of frames per second when rendering to video.

Good job on the textures- I prefer an earlier version of the texture pack though (version 3.3); while I do agree that it is unnecessary to attach gears and pipes to every surface, I feel you have started to lose the industrial feel that I was originally hooked on. Everything seems softer, warmer, more of an antiquity than time-enduring machinery and man-made structures. That said, I still enjoy the texture pack, great work man!

Given the way he once treated cakes, wolves, chickens and a number of mobs, this is quite an understatement. My understanding is that he wants to create really complex steampunk materials, but fairly classy living spaces - the true trademark of Victorian steampunk!
Loving the new update I have decided to make a steampunk-based world, just like yours but in 99% vanilla survival. (I have to use MCpatcher or optifine, so it can't be 100% vanilla)

Honestly, I don't even consider MCPatcher and optifine to be mods. I know they are, but all they do is allow for higher res texture packs, or make the game run better. You're not really adding or taking anything away so much as just making it run the same, but better. lol
Already mentioned a few pages back that fans of the pack make mod support as glimmar does not have the time. Id just wait for one of the people who do these textures to hop on this page.

I just discovered they are releasing EE3 soon. Has anyone started any projects regarding Equivalent Exchange for this texture pack?

I used internet Explorer for the longest time with no issues, then I recently switched to Google Chrome and i get malware warnings for this site.
