Woah! That's what you call ambitious!!
I'm not sure I understand you completely, but I think you intend to put a steampunk server together with appropriate mods. In that case, don't forget to check out my rather crowded OP. There's a section entitled 'Mods' there, where ksheep and others have already put together many of the textures you might need for your server.
The gold and diamond armors are simply placeholders. Don't worry, with every time I fire this pack up, there's always something new that Glimmar has done that just blows my mind. I'm sure he'll do something similarly grandiose with those armors. I just have patience and let the master do his thing.
Haha! I think you've too much faith in me, mate.
I noticed they put a second layer in for the cloth (leather) armor this week, which I assume is to allow for none-leather parts to remain a fixed color (such as metal buckles and the like). Trying to figure out what I need to do for this... among other things.
There have been lots of fiddly little changes everywhere in the pack that make it difficult to catch everything in one update. I need to more closely follow changes on the Minecraft Wiki.
Thank's for replying to me men! It's nice to know this lil' community is so nice. Thank you kindly! And also, AngelMan, as a brony, you are expected not to be rude and use harsh language. :T
Most visitors here are usually extremely polite, friendly and mature (which is not to exclude those with a good sense of humour like Faust :P), whatever their age... but isn't that as it should be? If folk had to pay for stuff it might be different, but when it's free and you've nothing to lose and everything to gain by being easy-going, what's the point in being rude or pushy!
BTW Glimmar, I love the villagers. And the new bricks. This pack seems to be in a constant state of flux, but what ever you do just makes it better and better. Keep it up, I will never get tired of this.
Very generous of you, mate. However, I make lots of mistakes and half-finished attempts at things, so I'm far from being perfect.
just to let everyone know, if you download the latest snapshot, 12w36a, IT WILL BREAK YOUR PICTURES.
I don't know about you, but i like the wall art that Glimmar has given us in this pack, and the snapshot is not worth losing them, IMO.
actually, it doesn't break all of them. but you won't get anything bigger than 1x1 or 1x2, and forget about any horizontally oriented ones.
just thought i'd let you know.
MoK
Placing of pics seems to work ok for me with this week's snapshot. Small and large paintings all seem to place ok. My animated flywheel painting works fine, but I did notice that it's now possible to overlap paintings, but I didn't stand around long enough to see if one or both popped off the wall!
... I think the city of newglim should be the panorama. it's really cool!
Back when the panorama was first introduced I tried finding a good spot in the middle of my city, but for some reason it never came out quite so good as a fuzzy backdrop.
Sheep, out of curiosity, which operating system do you use?
I mostly work with Mac OS, although I fiddle around with Windows XP and Unix for school. When it comes to games and stuff, it's almost all on my Mac, and I haven't done much fiddling with MC on Windows (except helping a friend install a TP for the first time). Also have about half-an-hours worth of experience with Ubuntu, when my roommate was having trouble installing Minecraft on his computer
I'm from Russia, and the way I have your weak ... I can not do what you planned ... until I buy a new computer)))More can be done iron drill ... he hits an iron sword ... breaking blocks as iron pickaxe and speed breaking the water as on land!

Lol! All this time I never knew you were using a Mac. It's terrible to always assume others have the same type of computer as yourself, but I suppose in part that comes from all the help you've given folks here over what must be nearly two years.
But I'm assuming that as regards mods and texture packs, there is very little difference then on either machine these days (apart from terminology and file structure) as you seem to be as knowledgeable as anyone I know regarding the inner workings of Minecraft.

Ah! That's a difficult one to understand, Kayfat, but I hope you get your new computer soon.

Have just wasted the afternoon making a nice little animation for the inside of the Pumpkin Diving Helm, only to discover that I can't get the animation to work in game.
Does anyone know if it's possible to animate the pumpkinblur.png? I just assumed it wouldn't be anymore difficult than any .png file in the pack. Perhaps it's just something to do with the latest snapshot. Oh well ...I'll just go back to my random CTM work for a bit.
While working on getting some of my textures updated for the snapshot I encountered something that I think may be a problem for you as well. The new decorative skull items use the same texture as the heads of the monsters they are from. This is all well and good unless you happen to have made the head invisible. (I think I recall you did this with some of the creeper textures you had.)
Hopefully the CT stuff will let you get around that but thought I'd give you a heads up to check for it.
From what I've been able to discover, it seems like the RandomMobs part of MC Patcher doesn't work with the skulls (even though random CTM plants do work with the plant pots), so only the unnumbered creeper's head comes up when you slap a creeper head on the wall. I imagine kahr will do something about that eventually.
I just have to remember to choose the best mobs for first position in my RandomMob selection, if I want it to show up as a severed head!
I really wasn't planning on actually asking FC, especially with the bit of drama that came up this morning concerning texture packs and his new stoked fire animation. Plus Morvelaira talked me out of it. But, I may try communicating with Kahr to see how viable editing textures by the ID and Metadata is.
And sorry for not being clear with this, but I'm not making textures based on this pack... It's a different texture pack...
And the item I animated? Well for that you'll have to visit my thread. ^.^
Ah, I see. Well still hope you get that issue sorted out, it would be cool to have different animations for different scrolls. Ill take a look at your thread as well
Btw, where is this drama? Ive been looking for any info on that new animation regarding HD packs but haven't found any. Was this on the IRC?
That sounds interesting. What's his new stoked fire animation?
With a combination of mod blocks from BTW you can 'stoke' a fire, making it two blocks high. With the most recent release he made the bottom fire block a different animation. This is cool but so far I haven't been able to figure out how to make it compatible with HD packs, still working on it.

Haha! That's a cool fire (oxymoron alert!). Hope the sound of a roaring fire occurs when it's all stoked. Thanks for sharing that.
But I think I do a texture for the blocks of this ambitious mods)))

There have been a number of retextures for mods, submitted by community members. You can find the download here, and the mods covered are as follows:
IndustrialCraft 2
Simple Ores
Crafting Table III
Red Power
RailCraft
BuildCraft
Æther
Clay Soldiers
Iron Chest
Forestry
Weapon Mod
Missing Blocks
Planes Mod
Nether Ores
Portal
ComputerCraft
Zeppelin
Just a note: Not all of the textures are done on these. A fair number of the GUIs are unfinished, as are the items, but most of the blocks have been updated to the Steampunk style for these mods.
Hm, a little silly that FC would assume people didn't texture fire (especially considering Battosay's Lp pack has textured fire) but understandable. Still dont understand how to actually texture that stoked fire though . Well, Ill keep looking but I think Ill have to wait to see if the other TP artists figure it out before me.
Here's some experimental textures for Millenaire support:
Keiko armour ....
...and o-yoroi armour (uncoloured)
If anyone is willing to help develop Millenaire support, you know where to find me!
Glimmar, I am planning to do away with all Dokucraft-based textures in my own private remix, and Millenaire coins are also being affected. Is there a certain concept for Millenaire coins that you'd like to see me create for you?
What kind of stone block are you using for your ctm stone pillar?
Undecided yet, but most probably the chiseled stone block (the one usually with the hole in). I say undecided, because I'm currently working on another randomly generated stone block (naughtily using one of the wool blocks that I think we can spare - one of the two shades of grey with the remaining grey being re-shaded as a compromise) and I can't figure which would be better as actual stone. Remember the wool blocks burn very easily, so I'm trying to think practically.
I also have to remember that working with stone in Minecraft (and in RL somewhat) is just my current line of interest, so I have to try to be balanced and not too greedy for stone with limited blocks. Roll on all those extra blocks Mojang have promised.

I read the page you linked to with interest.
FC certainly seems to rule his site with a rod of iron!
I liked the way in one sentence he dismissed the concept of texture artists wanting to animate fire or even that it has always been so since MC Patcher made it possible. However, I assume he comes from the stand point that if any other mod is required besides BTW, then it's irrelevant to his discussion, which is understandable from his perspective, but a bit limiting for everyone else. Especially when Minecraft's ultimate charm is in it allowing all users maximum choice on how they wish to play it.

Nice work, SunWukong.
Haha! You're asking completely the wrong person if you mention any other mods than MC Patcher, TMI and possibly MorePaintings. Remember I'm the ultimate mod hermit! Sadly, because I sincerely wish I had the time to play with other mods, it must be nearly a year since I ventured to briefly glance at the Millenaire thread.
So I'm not even sure what the coins normally look like. Assuming they are a form of currency, I'd assume anything that looked like old Victorian coinage would suit our needs here I think. Perhaps something like this:
Is that any help? Not that I'm wishing to push UK currency over anything else, but a picture with Victoria on would be nice, but not necessary of course.

Curse PremiumDoes this happen with both the MediaFire and the Rapidshare downloads?
I'll test and get back to you.
[edit 1] Well the 32x pack from MediaFire downloads ok and is packed with everything that should be in the pack.
[edit 2] The 64x pack from MediaFire is ok too and fully packed.
[edit 3] The 32x Rapidshare download is fine.
[edit 4] 64x Rapidshare download is fine too.
Not sure what the problem is with your method of download, wellmax100, but everything is as it should be.
