I think you guys are forgetting that the tripwires first and foremost purpose is to be used as a trigger for traps and devices of that nature, with this in mind don't you think that having the tripwire be invisible is perfect ? Otherwise its going to be way to easy to spot. Ideally we should be able to choose ,when we place it, whether or not you can see it , that way it can serve aesthetic purposes as well as practical uses.

Lol! That's exactly what I thought.
I'll keep lookin' in and seeing what the general consensus is over the next couple of weeks and see what folk want. At least it's nice to know it's possible to have it either way, without having a separate mod.
In the meantime the original v6 download links are still on page 450, if folk prefer invisible connected tripwires.
Another note on the tripwires: for a player perspective, do you want them as visible as possible do your DON'T trip them, or do you want them invisible so that another user of this pack can't see them? It's a double edged sword.
Hey Glimmar/Jester/Anyone else who textures, I have been wondering what program you use to make your textures. I have wanted to take a try at it myself, but I don't like the idea of doing in in a program like gimp unless I am missing some huge thing that makes it easier to edit pixel by pixel. So, what programs do you all use?

I should start a poll, but I don't like the way they mess up the top of the OP.
It's certainly a quandary that falls between the two camps of survival and creative.
Absolutely fantastic, just as we all expected. Great work yet again!
Thank you kindly, chimpaflimp.

I'm greatly loving the new 'on their side' logs. Didn't realize quite how useful and cool looking that little last minute change would be.
Since moving to 1.3.1 I've been getting strange flickering with some half-blocks and occasionally they might disappear altogether, is anyone else getting this?
Also my villagers still often drop into the ground and then pop back up again.
Are both the above things features of the new multiplayer side of Minecraft? I can't see how it's anything to do with my pack, as I get the same when using other texture packs.
Any thoughts anyone?

Now I really must stop bothering you all and have a bit of a break...perhaps even have fun just building in Minecraft for a change.
Hey Glimmar, maybe make a different topic for the poll, and link it to this topic? That avoids the weirdness in this topic's op while still doing the poll. It would also help other Texture Packers.
Finishing up the latest Mod Compilation. Waiting to hear back from various people who had worked on it to make sure I have the latest version of their work in it.
On a side note, v6 of the TP doesn't work well with Tekkit, due to the change of inventory GUIs in creative…

I'm working on updating the Aether textures to the latest version of the Aether mod (which was for 1.0.4 minecraft). Hoping to have it finished up by this time tomorrow. Also had a good laugh at the texture pack review when they thought that I was a mod.
EDIT
I was bored and couldn't sleep. Here it is, the updated aether terrain sheet. I've got a few things left to replace, but I haven't used the mod in its current state so I'm not sure what they are or what a good replacement would be. To install, just place this in the Aether jar file.
Why don't they fit in? I just went over to a village in my creative world and looked at them compared to some blocks, and while they are a bit more detailed I don't really find it jarring.
Not completely happy with it but will work for now...

Edit2: Made burner be lit since IC2 doesn't use it to indicate power source charge
Looks like a good start, I see you're trying to match the GUI theme. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
Just a note to everyone, I'm finishing a few last things for the mod texture pack v0.4. I was testing it out earlier and found that a number of texture sheets were out of date, so I'm trying to get those spots filled in with, at the very least, some temporary textures (probably default, for the time being). I will hopefully have it out by mid-week.
Updated IC2 item_0.png: machine upgrades - overclocking, transformer, energy storage
Edit1: swapped copper and bronze dust to be in proper place
Edit1: changed circuits by ksheep suggestion
Edit3: updated coffee bean and some of the coffee cups

Me too, along with a little Photoshop.
Many thanks, HBOMB.
You put me to shame with the amount you, and everyone else churns out. Well done.
