Yeah, I've been using Photoshop CS and CS2. I usually use the pencil tool set to 1 pixel, and turn OFF anti-aliasing (otherwise, it'll blur adjacent pixels). Also, I find that Photoshop is rather good for copy-pasting: Turn on the grid, set the grid to 32x32 (or 64x64), and turn snap to grid on. Quick and simple way of adjusting alts.
On another note, been messing around with the new update. Decided to change out the floor of my tower. I have to say, I like the Emerald blocks, especially with the Lapis block. Now if only I had more colored tiles… (starts editing texture pack)
EDIT: Oh, and I just noticed. The replies, they're OVER 9,000!!!!!
WHAT NINE THOUSAND!? THERE'S NO WAY THAT CAN BE RIGHT!
But good job, Glimmar. When you can quote a meme to describe the number or replies to your tp, you know it's good (or so terrible it requires being continually laughed at)

Aha! Anti-Aliasing! Thank you Sheep, I have now figured out a much simpler and easier way of editing
Seriously that has been bugging me for so long
Also, question for you Glimmar. Was that new sponge texture supposed to be the emerald block? I thought it was supposed to be until your released your 4th teaser vid and I was kinda disappointed, I really like that block. Ill just have to switch em around.

Yeah, took me a couple months of fiddling around to figure that out as well. Of course, back then, I was also thinking that the pencil and brush were equivalent, but I find pencil is MUCH better for fiddly texture work.
I'm noticing that string becomes invisible when it makes a tripwire. Do you know if this is an issue with the TP, MCPatcher, or a bug with Minecraft itself?
This is the most balanced texture pack I have ever seen. This is not one of those packs where you cant tell an ass from an elbow but yet it is not overdone. My only suggestion is to make the villagers less realistic because it is a hair out of place.
So I was cleaning out my computer when I found this old video of me making a horseshoe for the Simply Horses mod. I have absolutely no idea why I was recording this or if I even knew it was (I dont even completely finish the horseshoe, video just cuts off) but I thought it was kind of interesting so I sped it up and put a random track to it.
If you are interested at all you can see it
In other news, Ive been having a really fun time playing with the pack Glimmar I keep finding new stuff that I forgot you changed!

So so true. I actually did some armor skins last night and had to darken a few pixels. It was so much easier compared to my old way of doing it. Thanks for pointing it out

Oh thats a bug? Darn, I thought that was an addition I missed, and I liked that you couldnt see it, made traps actually possible. Oh well, if its a bug it must be fixed

Lol! Nope. A problem with how I interpreted the new tripwire texture, I'm afraid. Didn't realise it was a two state graphic, so like JesterMailMan89, I assumed when the wire is attached it was supposed to go invisible so that traps couldn't be seen. I should have tried default Minecraft before jumping to conclusions.
Leave it with me and I'll upload updated packs as soon as possible.
Question is, do you want the wire to look smaller and more invisible when set or to stay the same? I only see the tripwire as more creative building material and not almost invisible trap wire? I suppose there would be more uses for thick and thin states. Any thoughts?

Thanks for all the kind comments folks. When I get more time and enthusiasm I'll look back for things needing answers.

Personally, I think a slightly thinner version would be good. Simply making it go invisible doesn't make much sense, but having it as thicker power lines and thiner telegraph lines seems like a good idea…
Another possibility: use the current size for connected, and a thicker one for unconnected.
I've made it slightly thicker for unconnected and slightly thinner for unconnected. I can't say for sure, because I haven't got time to test it, but I think there's probably a limit to how thick I can make it. Due to the way I assume Minecraft references the two wire states, if I try to make things too thick it will push the bottom wire out of view and clip the top wire.
You could test that theory for me though.
I kind of like ksheep's cable and telegraph wire suggestion...sorry Jester.
I also think I'll only get more grief off folk later down the line when they want to use the pack for survival and complain they can't make the wire thinner when it's set if I go for the same state for connected and unconnected.
Anyways, I'm just going through the process of uploading again now.
If you can only just about run 16x packs, then probably yes.
Although there is a 32x version to try, there are still other higher than 32x res textures in that pack which may cause some lag, but there's no harm in trying...just remember to use MC Patcher if you are new to HD packs. You can always switch back to default MC or your favorite pack if it lags out.

No problem, I posted that and had to leave but after coming back and reading I think his idea is better anyway
Sheep, do you also mainly build in creative? I usually only play survival except for when i test builds in creative.
As discovered by ksheep, I missed out the second state texture of the tripwire when it's attached to the tripswitch...hence it's unintentional disappearance. Here's the fix, with my apology that you have to download the pack all over again.

At the risk of repeating myself, the 64x WIP version greatly improves on the quality of animated textures for some blocks, items, lava, fire, water and portal, etc. If your computer is powerful enough, I encourage you to try this version of the pack over the 32x.
Please check out the changelog, pics and taster vids above or in my OP, if you're looking in for the first time after the Minecraft 1.3.1 update.
I think Ive tried the oencil before but iI didnt like something about it, I might retry it.
HOWEVER, sizing it up is one of those things that was so obvious that Ive never tried it. THANK YOU FOR AMAZING IDEA ZEEFU!
