The mod retextures don't care about the Block IDs, but not all of the mods have been completely retextured yet. Which ones are not showing up as complete? I know that Railcraft and IndustrialCraft still have a fair bit of work to do, and there are some odds and ends on the others (not to mention that most of the retextures are using the MC 1.1 version of the mods, which may have changed significantly since then). Hope this helps!
Hey ksheep any mod texture updates in the near future? ☺

I haven't had the time. I'm just now settling down after finals, still trying to figure out what I'll be doing this summer. I haven't heard from any of the other volunteers recently either, so… not sure what's going on. I'll try to figure things out in the next couple weeks tho…
On the Optifine topic...I have a really good computer, Quad core, etc...and I had to use the lowest Optifine choice they had. No idea why, but that's the one that works. It all looks fine though

I'm not going to even try to figure it out, I'm just happy it works I just spent 3 hours getting a bunch of mods working together the right way...stupid id's...but I lost Tropicraft because of it But Glimmar's still looks fine! Now to make an airship, assuming I installed the zeppelin/train mod right...lol
Hey there, this texture pack is awesome! I made a top 10 texture pack video that featured this texture pack and it would be awesome if you could put it on the forum page :-)
If anyone is still interested, here's my latest WIP changelog. It's continued to grow since I last posted it. I'm now just trying to cram as much into my next update as I can, before Minecraft itself is updated:
Current WIP Changelog Glimmar's Steampunk v6 for Minecraft v1.2.5+
The old 'extras' download is now back in the main pack again. I had a little time to prune the extras' down to textures that were still relevant and to update with some new alts. I decided it would be simpler to maintain if everything was together again. Sadly, I tended to ignore it as a seperate download.
If your machine will stand it, there is definately more reason to choose the x64 pack. Most of the new animations included in this update have been made at x64 scale and do look much finer in the x64 pack. Also I may be adding more x64 terrain blocks and items in the future, as the fancy takes me...so keep a look-out!
All particles in particles.png have now been made hi-rez in both x32 and x64 packs. Drips and bubbles, etc.
New animated paddle-less steampunk boat. Until I get round to animating some type of paddle wheel, I have removed the unsatisfactory stationary wheel texture and designed things to be a little more ambiguous as to the method of propulsion. The boat is still powered by steam which drives something, but that 'something' is hidden from view under the water... though you see animated spinning cogs in the boat.
The old paddle boat and some new alts are in the new 'alternative textures' folder in the pack. However, please note, alternative boat designs will not match the new boat animations, so it may be necessary to put up with moving parts not quite matching, or remove the 'boat ....... properties' files from the 'anim' folder in the pack.
New boat icon on the item sheet to reflect changes to the boat texture.
New cog animations to all three Iron Golem designs. Have fun finding them!
New Iron Golem4 with animated cogs, counter and arcane electrical eye.
Fixed a line of missing pixels on the top of the Iron Golem heads.
New animated Eye of Ender item (x64 version worth checking out in the x64 pack).
New animated Eye of Ender on the End Portal Frame (again better x64 version).
New animated Redstone Dust. A little free .gif I found and adapted for the purposes of this pack.
New clouds.png texture.
Tweaked the sky colour to fit the new clouds.
New animated Redstone Ore (courtesy of Lady Eternity and Proudfoot).
New animated Gold Ore (courtesy of Lady Eternity and Proudfoot).
New Book item.
New Pen and Book item.
New Book gui.
The new 'book' gui required a whole new font designing. Letter size and spacing for the old Berylium font meant that the book pages only looked half filled by the time you'd used up your quota of letters for each page.
New font - put together by my own fair hand and dullard brain! Much kudos to Nuin for his excel spreadsheet that takes the grind out of calculating letter spacing. Even so, this took up a couple of spare days to find an appropriate font and squeeze it into a 1024x1024 grid...and I thought animation was tedious!
As the new font is more spacious, the labels on all my new guis needed reworking...wasting yet more time that I'd hoped to spend on animation.
New font now adds support for letters ñ á é í ó ú, etc.
Sign text now has a shiny brass coloured look to it. Text is generally bolder and coupled with 'brass lettering' is much more noticeable. I intend to add slight shadow to text so that sign lettering looks even more brass-like.
Edited the sign item to reflect the change of sign letter colouring.
New container.png gui. Otherwise known as the chest interior. I designed a system of pull-out brass specimen drawers, with a flip-up active menu. The idea was to have something in-keeping with my own recent guis, that would clearly display items, along with a greater 3-dimensional feel.
Edited the achievement 'bg.png' gui. Upped the resolution to x1024 for editing in the future and added a brass label in-keeping with new gui style.
Edited the 'alchemy.png' gui. Increased length and changed position of brass labels to accomodate new font size.
Edited the 'allitems.png' gui with a new brass label, in-keeping with general style of new guis and new font size.
Extensively edited the 'crafting.png' gui with new longer brass labels, new grungy brass inventory to better show items and tidied up placement and shading of textures throughout. reworked the crafting box and added green animated fog to the centre. Also increased resolution to 1024x1024.
Extensively edited the 'furnace.png' gui with new brass labels, new brass inventory, repositioned various elements, original was out of line in many areas. Improved shading, tidied things up and increased resolution to x1024 for further editing in future. Added new elements, plus: animated valve, animated fuel spark ignition, counter, centrefuge and will no doubt add more animated Steampunk features as time allows.
Edited the 'enchant.png' gui - increased length and changed position of brass labels to accomodate new font size. Included a new animated valve/tungsten bulb and an animated counter (both at the top of the gui).
New 64x alt terrain textures in the 'alt' folder, courtesy of Lady Eternity and Proudfoot.
Connected Textures* support for Optifine, courtesy of Demi Person. This is only to prevent Optifine reverting to default Minecraft textures for glass, etc., it does not give true Connected textures, as I feel these are not necessary for my glass, sandstone and bookshelves. My sandstone is already connected, glass is supposed to be structural (so I don't want great gaps) and my 'chemist drawer' bookshelves would look silly as wide drawers.
New MC Patcher CTM support - random grass features, random plant types, limited random stone texture.
All new grass - random with CTM applied.
Edited the stone again. Added a subtle random element using CTM.
New coal ore. More useful as a building material in creative.
New iron ore. Now possible to use the iron ore for building purposes in 'creative'.
Edited the edible mushroom.
Edited the standard foliage. Now randomised with CTM to dispel patterning. Works well.
Added new cocoa pod stages - only x32 (x64 is just upscaled).
New x64 and x32 steampunk bed. Still gadgety, but a lot more comfortable and very 'chaise lounge' useable too.
New bed icons x32 and x64.
New 'xpbar text' color.
New animated diamond. Small animated jewels in x32, single large blue diamond in x64.
New brass egg icon.
New animated Lapis item... Spinny and rock-like. What more can one say? x32 and x64 versions.
10 random tall grass types in CTM. The naturalising effect is very satisfying coupled with the new grass texture.
Don't forget to check out the first of my GS v6 Taster vids here:
Hey Glimmar a new snapshot came out. Now we can trade with villagers. they have there own currency which you can mine or buy from them, also have ender chest. Lastly they have new sandstone villages and pyramids.

Thanks, fullmetal90. I shall have a look at what needs working on and add it to the long list above.
Having seen the list of bugs, including corrupting existing worlds, I won't be adopting it for myself just yet, but I will try to be ready for the eventual update. It seems there is even more incentive to work on some human villagers.
However, considering how quiet it seems to have been around here, I suppose there's a lack of interest in my texture pack now, so I guess there isn't a need to rush things.
Certainly not a lack of interest, just waiting to see all those new things in your next update.
Texture-wise, it looks like all this snapshot adds is the Emerald, Emerald Ore, Ender Chest, and Trading GUI
Hey now, just because we're quiet doesn't mean we don't want more! We're letting you get your work done in peace With that said, ::cracks whip:: get back to it!!! LOL
Your changes sound great, can't wait to get them
Here's what the main page says: http://www.minecraftforum.net/
Time for a new snapshot! One big difference this time is that you don’t need the server jar to play single-player - more and more, the process is being refined for ease of use. Change log is below!
Villagers will trade items (They are notoriously cheap, however)
Ender Chest (Sort of like a chest network - place two different Ender Chests and place items in either, and they will appear in any other Ender Chests you have placed. It glows a bit.)
Emerald and Emerald Ore (used with Villagers)
Made Buckets stackable.
Added Snow to Creative Inventory.
NPC Villages change style according to their biome.
Stars are more realistic.
They are now slightly smaller and slightly brighter.
Changed Gravel texture.
Improved Options menu.
Added Pyramids.
Added a second Golden Apple made with Blocks of Gold.
After being consumed, the player receives 30 second Regeneration IV, plus Resistance and Fire Resistance for 5 minutes.
Dispensers will eject Water and Lava source blocks (from buckets); Will also take water and lava source blocks if there is an empty bucket inside
Of course, with any update there's always a few bugs - some of the most relevant ones are listed below (take note of "old world corruption in particular!):
Emerald Ore has the wrong texture.
Loading a world from a previous version corrupts it.
Generated structures are very buggy.
New Golden Apple does not appear in the creative mode inventory screen.
Villager Trading for items worth more than one emerald doesn't work if you place the emeralds one by one.
When removing the last Ender Chest, no items are ejected, and you must place a new one to retrieve the items. (may not be a bug)
Single player still thinks it requires server/minecraft_server.jar. A blank file with the same name can be used.
When generating a superflat world, you will get chunk errors - there will be some chunks generated in default, and the other are generated in superflat.
Stacked buckets don't pick up fluids. Instead, the fluid just disappears.
Certainly not a lack of interest, just waiting to see all those new things in your next update.
Texture-wise, it looks like all this snapshot adds is the Emerald, Emerald Ore, Ender Chest, and Trading GUI

Thanks Demi_Person, mobius22r.
I missed the new trading gui. Aww! Gui's are always hard work...and I thought I was getting on top of those! But what is this useful block item. Surely if it's a block, it's got to be on the terrain sheet, but I can't see anything new except what looks like ruby (red) ore? So why is called emerald ore? I will have a quick look at the new gui and then sleep on it and see what I wake up with in the morning.
You haven't even tested my animated redstone dust and I got sick of it already. So I spent the evening animating a newer...new variety that appears to...well...sort of coruscate(?) with shimmers of internal power. It's also more uncut, transparent, stone-like. If I get time to finish a second taster vid off, then you'll know what I'm on about, but any spare time I have tomorrow will go on the new things. I must also do something about these villagers!
Well, at least there are two people to test the new stuff out.
Thanks, fullmetal90. I shall have a look at what needs working on and add it to the long list above.

However, considering how quiet it seems to have been around here, I suppose there's a lack of interest in my texture pack now, so I guess there isn't a need to rush things.
What's the full list of new things?
I've found:
Enderchest.
Ruby ore?
ruby item?
emerald item?
No Ruby ore or the Ruby Item, Jens Changed it to Emerald So emerald ore and Item, Enderchest and the villager trading GUI.
Also I'm still very interested so please rush things
Also There has been villages added in the sand biome witch means you may want to adapt the sandstone textures to fit the villages also Sandstone pyramids, have fun with that. I think the textures for sandstone may be good how they are though, its up to you.
Looks like it changed from red to green at the last minute and he forgot to change the ore. The new useful item was the Ender Chest, which is textured the same way the normal single chest is.
Hey Glimmar, what's going on in here? Gosh it's been a while since I've been back to the old Minecraft stomping grounds. You still hanging in there, you old timer? Hope all the new stuff doesn't get you too bogged down! I know I'm going to have my hands full trying to update five packs...

Seems silly I know, but does anyone have any links to pics of the sandstone villages and pyramids. I will get round to looking at them myself, but I've limited time today and this weekend and if I install the weekly update I'll get bogged down playing!

There still seems to be a red jewel-like item. Is that redundant or part of the trading aspect of things? Is the new trading gui the fairly blank rectangle thingy in the gui folder? Hah! I'm just gonna have to install this update sooner I think.

Howdy, Feathers.
Do you mean you've been away from 'Minecraft' in general, or just from the Minecraft forums? It's certainly good to see you alive and kicking. Bogged down with exams and such?
Lol! I definitely feel like an old timer. Things move too quickly for my liking these days and it makes me feel like I've just come out of a wilderness of prospecting back into a world of city-slickers and quick-draw, super fast artists (lovin' this analogy!). All I need now is a spitoon! I'm just trying to learn Rooster Cogburn 'speak' and then I'll be ready to ride out with my one good eye and my reigns between my teeth.
Get whipping those elves of yours and all those packs will be out in no time! Got any spare gnomes good with a spanner?
From what I can tell, the red jewel (Ruby?) is completely unused, at least for now. Sounds like the right GUI, it is less silly looking when they have items in it. There are some pictures on the wiki, (Pyramid: http://www.minecraft...et/wiki/Pyramid , Desert Village: http://www.minecraft...24_15.07.10.png ) and I just ran across one of the new villages myself, sorry if the picture isn't very helpful.

Oooo! Many thanks, Demi_Person.
Actually, those pics are very useful and quite encouraging. I'm quite pleased at the interior shot showing that the pillar decoration works quite well. I appreciate you going to the trouble and it saves me some time urgently hunting these places down. I'll concentrate on the nether chest, etc. An appropriate idea for the new chest was waiting for me when I woke up this morning.
The ruby ore was left over from Jeb first started this, he was planing to make rubies the currency but switch to emeralds instead. So the ore block is still red. So no rubies.
