I thought of finishing clay soldier mod first, but because portal gun mod seems to be more popular I'll just start texturing it too..
so I have made a bit over half of the item sheet and an anti-fall-damage-boot's skin...
*SNIP*
Also link for update for clay soldier mod is here. It includes all colors of claymen skins (except melon), as well as sand-, dirt-, gravel- and clay horse/pegasi skins and item icons for them.
Updating also the zeppelin mod textures, now including compass block and handheld radio-control device!
I have not tested almost any of those textures so they probably aren't as good as I wished them to be.. but I can upload updated versions again when I have tested them and fixed all the fails and other things that I don't like.
Looking good! Can't wait to see what comes of this. Also, you just reminded me of what I forgot to add to the compilation: Clay Soldiers! Silly me. So long as you don't mind, I'll add it (and whatever progress you have on the other mods) to the next version. I should also check to make sure there aren't any others that I've missed.
EDIT: In reply to Glimmar, in case of any confusion....
And Glimmar, do you mind me posting alot of pictures of the power plant? There's an insane amount of stuff to show.
By all means. Perhaps best stick the majority in a spoiler so that page loading isn't badly effected, but I love seeing pics...helps me to see how my textures work, as only seeing my own constructions kind of artificially biases my view of things.

Dazqo, much thanks for this work and your long term support over many, many months.
As background music while you play...just use your favourite music player. It's not a mod, but a very generous offering of excellent steampunk music by a group of very talented musicians.
There is a mod out there that does allow you to change the default music (or sound effects), but it's really not necessary for this, so long as your computer can cope with the music running in the background while you play Minecraft.
Love the cobble in this pack can't find another pack with such good cobble. Still dunno how metal pumpkins grow from seeds.
My first post
Oh and can anyone tell me how to add a signature?
Welcome noob! I was once in your shoes, not too long ago... You know, i think Glimmar should be doing this, but i happened to be on. Anyway you get a signature by copying the code of the signature (Check the first page and get it!) Then go to settings and the signature edit thing should be there. Paste the code there and it should show up. Or you can just write whatever you want.
EDIT: COMPLETELY UNRELATED my laptop is failing at life. Construction of the city has been halted temporarily until a solution arises. Minecraft keeps lagging UNCONTROLLABLY AND INEXPLICABLY. So much lag that.. well, its impossible to play! I dont know what is causing it, but untill this problem is solved my power plant is unfinished.

Glad you like the cobble.
As regards the pumpkin, try to imagine the pumpkin/seeds as microscopic self-replicating Steampunk nanotechnology. Though it might look weird in the landscape, I prefer the pumpkin this way, as it has more building possibilities (they're designed to interconnect with each other and redstone 'steam' pipes). They also second as directional lights (like Victorian railway or ship lanterns) and of course 'diving helms'...check out the interior if you haven't worn a pumpkin yet and go for a dive!
As regards adding a signature. Here's directions on how to use mine:
1. Copy the two lines of code underneath my signature banner.
2. Left-click on the little cog icon in the top right of this page.
3. Once on your 'Profile Page' left-click on the green 'Edit my Profile' button (right hand side).
4. Under 'Profile Settings' on the left-hand side, left-click 'Signature'.
5. If you've never created a signature box before, 'Your current Signature' will be blank. Underneath is the 'Edit Signature' box. Simply paste the two lines of code you copied in step 1. into this box. If the two lines of code still look exactly the same as they appeared on my main page, then left-click the green 'Save Changes' button at the bottom of your 'My Settings' page.
6. If all went well you should see my banner appear under the 'Your current Signature' heading. Now find one of your own posts on the forum (or post in my thread) and you should see my banner underneath your text and in every subsequent post you submit or previously submitted. If something went wrong, try stepping through these instructions again...we all make silly mistakes, and my mistakes are even sillier!
7. Thank you for taking the time to use my banner. I'm very grateful for your support.

Sorry to hear about your laptop problems...hope you get things sorted soon.
On another matter. I've had to suspend my 'dropbox' download link as it's generating too much traffic on my account there...sorry. I'm still waiting on MediaFire and my ISP to sort out their differences so's I can return to using MediaFire. However, my RapidShare and 4Shared downloads are still active. If you have any other suggestions (polite one's!), let me know.
finished item- and block sheets for the portal gun mod, also made alternative companion cube with copper-y colour... the portal itself seems to have a hardcoded shape so I might have to change some of these later...
Oh my GHOD ! This is absolutely amazing ! I just love steampunk to no end. The spinning cogs in rails are awesome and the detail in all the crafting windows is amazing.

Many thanks, brickman. I very much appreciate your comment and glad you like the theme.
Well… guess what I just found out? Flan's mod, formerly known as the Planes mod, has had quite a few new things added since I last checked, including user-made planes and a way for others to easily add more to it. I guess I'll have to look into this once I get back to my desktop so I can add a bomber wing at my airport.
Speaking of which, do we have anyone working on retexturizing the planes? I believe we have 2 done so far, but there are several new ones that need new skins for this pack.

oddly enough i've been having a stuttering issue in minecraft the past few weeks, it must be java, none of my other games are affected. or the minecraft folder is fragmented, make sense i've been screwing with mods in it. i wish my computer issues would solved over night.
Wow making mod compatiblity sure is easy when the texture pack has a thousand alternates, wish there were item alts though, im working on mods that are in technic pack, adding on to some like IC that were already done, ill probably show them here in a bit.

Great to see another person helping out with the mod textures! I know what you mean about needing more item textures, but I'm sure we'll get someone onboard soon who can help out with that!

Might be a good time to clean that Minecraft bin out and start afresh. Not always easy if you're hooked on some favourite mods that haven't caught up with the latest Minecraft release.
Hope things sort themselves out one way or the other.
It had issues, but I resolved them by not using HD textures patch.
Great texture pack!
may help me with making Animated textures!
I just now realized what the number values mean!
I noticed from the email notification that came through that you are still using Minecraft version 1.2.3. I'm probably stating the obvious, but I'm not sure how backward compatible MC Patcher or Optifine are with older versions of Micecraft and they might cause issues. Apart from the .png graphics in my pack (which shouldn't cause any problems) the only other things that are 'newish' (in that they aren't tried and tested over many months) is the 'color.properties' file that MC Patcher uses to customise various colours in game. Other mods may conflict with MC Patcher, but on a bare fresh Minecraft with nothing but MC Patcher installed, everything should work fine.
Hope you get to see the pack with MC Patcher working it's magic.
I'm still addicted to this, only problem I have is my creative builds look weird without it... still, makes me appear like some kind of mad genius on creative servers I'll have to get some screenshots if I ever get the build looking how I want it to...
For hosting, you could always try using http://min.us/ if you need it.
Glad to hear you're still addicted. I'm glad you think it's worth sticking with for creative building. I really don't understand why all texture packs don't try to make the nether textures more useful instead of blindly sticking with the vanilla textures of tortured souls and brimstone, which to my builder's, artistic eye have no practical architectural use whatsoever. When faced with a choice as to how to represent a new texture, I will always go with the one that allows me more creative choice when building, instead of slavishly sticking to the Minecraft norm. Makes sense to me...but then I'm a little crazy that way!!
I also approve of the 'mad genius' status, kind of fits the theme...so long as you don't mind. Never let what others think bother you too much, so long as it looks fine to you.

Look forward to seeing what you do and glad you like all the alts.

I agree with you and toboo123, 'items' are undernourished and I wish I had as much motivation to do those as I have for terrain textures, but I find them to be a real challenge at 32x, though when I've had an item session it did prove satisfying work. I shall see what I can come up with, it just never seemed as important until the recent surge in mod coverage, but it makes sense to have a stock of item images too.
****************
For my next update so far:
New 'container' gui.
New boat.
New HD cloud.png
Some extra's from you generous supporters.
Have cutback the 'extras' download and re-attached it to the texture pack. Now the mod side of things is a separate download, it allows me to narrow extra things down to 'pack' related alts.
I'm thinking of merging the 64x pack into the main 32x pack, by way of a folder with instructions for using the 64x water, etc animations. Recent experiments with MC Patcher show that the resolution for 64x water, lava, fire, etc, is once again unaffected by the resolution of the terrain.png file. Meaning I won't have to waste so much time managing two packs just to achieve better resolution on the terrain animations. I'm not sure how this will affect Optifine though.
I'm also hoping to add a few other things before updating, but just thought I'd let you know that even though I only have a little time, I am still working on new things.
Thanks everyone.

Curse PremiumI'm giving it a try whilst I reply. Not sure how it will handle excessive traffic on a free account, but worth a try. Thanks, mate.
Glad to help.
Haha! Good stuff. Yep, my PC is magic like that! It'll be some pesky hidden windows task or programme going about it's arcane business!
Great stuff. Many thanks, Dazqo.
